Sooo, my previous review was of the great little mini cooper s 2013. I was excited because I have…read morehad both a mini cooper and countryman since 2009 and love minis. This one was visually in great shape, low miles, and no accidents per the autocheck report. Even the first checkup with my mechanic found only nuisance issues to be fixed. But soon after, my first day road trip started the woes of this vehicle with plumes of smoke from the exhaust pipes lasting for a few minutes, miles. After that, it was smoke consistently if idling for long. My mechanic replaced a valve cover already saying it might not be the ultimate fix. Sure enough, shortly after, upon starting the car, smoke again filed out of the exhaust pipes for several minutes driving. Back to the mechanic and it definitely was burning oil at an alarming rate with the suggestion being to check every day. Shortly after, the engine reduction light on the steering wheel display came on with no codes. Autozone plugged in a device to check for codes but none showed up. I intended to take to Mini dealirship to check but then the light went off. At this point I hadn't put but less than 1500 miles on it, renting a car because i was afraid of getting stranded with engine problems, as I did with my last mini countryman. I did get a price of 15k for installation of a rebuilt engine. At this point, I'm just selling to Carvana with known problems divulged. Yes, I know I bought 'as-is'. Yes, I know I eat the loss. And, I still feel Nigel and Neil are great guys at Best Choice. I also think no dealorship should sell a vehicle that seems to be running as-is because, like me, their customers who get a car that turns out to be equally useless, will have a bad taste in their mouth and a huge financial loss to bear. I can move on and get another car, hold no grudge, AND leave an informed review so that maybe Best Choice can change their business model.

05-02-2025 Well folks, this is my last update, because I'm…read morehappy to report that we sold that trash can on wheels! Based off of other reviews, I believe this business might no longer be in operation. I sincerely HOPE that is true. I can't believe the absolute headache we've had to endure over the few years we've owned this truck. I cannot believe this company scammed us out of over $15K on it. If it weren't for an unfortunate death in our family, that granted us just enough money to pay off what we owed, we would have probably had to spend an additional $15K in work on this vehicle. The problems were endless. Rusted body. Oil pressure issues. Electrical issues. Hell, the spare tire under the truck didn't even fit on the rim! After a while it was a real struggle to even get that thing started. It got to a point where a mechanic could list so many issues that needed attention, that we couldn't even get it inspected. Our mechanic even joked that his diagnostic reader lit up like a Christmas tree when he plugged it in! Once the inspection ran up, and we couldn't afford to do the work to make this vehicle just pass inspection, we decided that we need to get rid of this truck. We paid it off, and managed to get it running, which we didn't even know yet would be the last time that truck would even start. I can't make this up. The truck would not start after we parked it in the parking lot of a new car dealership. The dealership didn't even want it. My fiancé had to BEG them to take it off of him. The salesman felt so bad for him, that he gave him a whopping $100 for it! I can't believe not even 3 year prior, that FIRST CHOICE AUTO MALL, thought that this absolutely pathetic excuse for a vehicle was worth even close to what we paid for it. This business sells nothing but lemons. If you even had any thought on going there to check out any of their cars, please go through and read all of my updates through the years. It's appalling that a business like this is allowed to run. They're directly putting the public at risk by not taking proper care of the vehicles before slapping a for sale sticker on them. When we first stepped foot on their lot, we checked out this truck not even knowing that it wasn't inspected yet! You're telling me they can just list lemons online, that haven't even gone through inspection? Whatever inspection they all go through, it wouldn't be legitimate anyhow. This place definitely slaps used parts on their vehicles. You'll thank me if you just went to an actual reputable car dealership. I hope one day the cruddy owners read my reviews and realized how much strain they put on people. What a mess.

Hopefully they did not move but are closed for good. Although they did put brakes on the car we got…read morethere we had to put thousands into it just to get it safe to drive. They should never have passed it on their inspection. Tires were bad from dry rot and engine light kept coming on. Spent over 15 hours getting it worked on at a dealer. Had to sit and wait on it 3 different times.

I was very pleased with the repair work and I received the car back ready to go completely detailed inside and out. The biggest challenge for pick up was just trying to make it to the shop after work in time before they close. Ultimately I would bring my car back to them if I had to get more work done. Also I would recommend them to anyone in the South Hills who needs VW-certified collision repair.

After repair went to pick up vehicle and both front and rear bumpers had damage, worse than when it was brought in. They repaired both bumpers without explaining what happened, wasting my time. 2. Asked to install new black competition stripes on both sides, bought lower side stripes and they only changed the drivers side. I noticed it and asked where the other one was and they kept it. I asked them to install it as it was included in my price. They did the repair on drivers side. 3. Contacted Kilkeary's strip technician Tim C. Asked to replace a bumper stripS on my 2018 SHELBY GT 350 BU,PER STRIPES ONLY. Washington Ford recommended Kilkeary's so I called them. We agreed on a price to remove and reinstall bumper stripes only ($250). After 3 hours,he couldn't get the bumper off or the glue. He had no Rapid Remover liquid gel to remove the glue but did have a heat gun. He asked me to remove it, which I did and I removed the glue with my own Rapid Remover liquid! He came back and installed the stripes in 1 hour but refused to reduce his price because he still gave me 3 hours OF USELESS REMOVAL! He ONLY DID 1 USEFUL HOUR AND DID MY OWN REMOVAL! It's not my fault he failed! Criminal! I gave him an out by reducing his price but he wouldn't do it! Buyer beware! Check everything!!! I have pictures if you'd like to see them.

Right after I got off the phone with him the driver, a nice man named Ryan, called me to let me know he was on his way and would be there in about 40 minutes. Not even 5 minutes after that I learned that I learned that I left my wallet at home. I called the dispatch office and told them the situation and that I needed to cancel the tow. I was then rudely told that I had greatly inconvenienced them and that there was a dispatch fee. Ok, understandable. What wasn't understandable was the fee was $50. The driver could not have been 10 minutes out and as traffic was, not far from the office. I asked what the fee included. The dispatch man (same one as before) rudely listed off a list of things. 1. fee for gas 2. fee for the drivers time 3. fee for CLICKING ON THE AD to call them. I told the man that I did not click on any ad and that I found the number online. When I searched for towing companies on the computer the number automatically came up and I called from my phone. He proceeded to tell me that I was wrong and had clicked on the ad and that it cost money to run the ad so I had to pay for it. I told him that I had no problem paying a fee because I did understand that I caused them an inconvenience but that I considered $50 a ridiculous amount. He told me I could pay it or he would call the police. He said that any call for service was a binding contract but I could try my luck with the police. I told him to never mind it because by then 15 minutes had passed and the tow driver was almost there and that I would figure something out. I ended up getting my vehicle towed and had to use my boyfriend's card. At first Ryan told me their card machine was down and that I should have been told that over the phone. (I was not) I convinced him to try it and thankfully it worked. The only redeeming quality of the whole horrible experience was that Ryan was very kind and acomidating. He was able to take $20 off my bill for the horrible service but all in all I would not use this company again.
