She has anxiety and he made her feel so comfortable. He patiently explained what he was doing, answered her 90 questions and we were in and out of there pretty quickly. No more pain. The funny part is - and I hope you are reading this Dr F- earlier in the day out of desperation-when I found out he was on vaca and my daughter was in pain, I briefly called another dentist who told me they could see me but I would have to switch permanently. I reported this to my 10 year old daughter and asked her what she wanted to do. Through her severe pain she replied, "No. I don't want to switch. I really like Dr Frankel". Within a few minutes Dr Frankel called and responded to message but you have to wonder- a 10 year old would rather put up with severe pain than switch doctors?!! What does that day about Dr Frankel. They not only require masks and take temperatures, but ask everyone to wash their hands and rinse with peroxide before the exam. The office has a modern filtration system that is recommended to prevent the spread of covid. Dr. Arnbayev spent a lot of time with me, explaining and showing me what was going on with various issues with my mouth. I've never had that much attention from a dentist. He was informative but not pushing anything. I normally find cleanings very painful, but this was not at all. I would highly recommend this practice.

His staff are excellent as well, and his entire office operates according to the highest standards of professionalism. He's so good with children he explains everything and he keeps them calm and under control. He has the explanation and protocol down to a science. I have had experiences where I was at the dentist or doctor, they put on gloves and then open a drawers, close the door, wipe their face and then proceed to put those same gloves in your mouth. I'm a mother of 2 kids and Dr. Bijoor's practice gave us the worst pediatric care I've ever…read moreencountered from any medical professionals. My then 2 year old was forcibly held down and hysterical during a cleaning and the hygienist said to me...ma'am, these instruments are sharp and if your son doesn't stop moving he's going to get hurt. Who in their right mind thinks that they can command a 2 yr old to sit still while a stranger sticks a sharp scaler into his mouth for prolonged periods?? I didn't know any better at the time and thought it was normal for dental cleanings to last only 5 min, coughed up approximately $265 each time (without insurance and was lied to about a free visit) and left the office each time while my son still had a mouthful of dirty, grimy teeth. My current pediatric dentist recommended an electric toothbrush that took care of all that grime without the need of sharp instruments and invasive scraping. Furthermore, we now have hygienists who patiently explain the procedures to each kid and sing to them as they "tickled" each tooth with a polisher. I knew I was on the right track with Dr. Fern as my pediatric dentist when my kids (age 4 and 7)…read morewould cheer when I said we had to go back to the dentist. While I knew Dr. Fern was warm and caring with her patients, I had no idea how incredible she really is until I took my seven year old son in for a tooth sealant procedure. He has a history of reflux and an easy gag reflex, but he has always done well at the dentist so I didn't anticipate any problems with getting his molars sealed. However, he had a lot of trouble with the specialized mouth piece required to keep teeth dry during treatment. Dr. Fern was simply amazing with him. She never lost her patience with him, empathized with his issues, and tried multiple tactics to make the experience more comfortable for him. From resizing the mouthpiece numerous times, to scenting her gloves and dental items with edible essential oils, (my son said the smell of her gloves made him nauseous) she worked with him trying different things to make him more comfortable for over 2 hours! She really went above and beyond to try to make it as good of an experience for him as possible. I don't want my children fear medical care, and I was truly impressed with Dr. Fern's treatment of my son. I have never seen this kind of attention and care at any practice, dental or otherwise. It is a rare thing to find a doctor that this willing to take extra time with patients having difficulty with treatment, and to retain their patience throughout the ordeal. I was already a fan of Dr. Fern, but after that visit I am even more profoundly grateful to have found her for my family. Best of all, my son left her office having had a positive experience, and is not scared or reluctant to go back to her office again. What more could a parent ask for?
