Service was quick and accurate. The space was clean and well stocked. Overall a good experience

Super burnt garlic bagel. Those dark brown dots are burned garlic bits. Why would you serve this to a customer?

I generally don't review fast food places because we all know they're just not good but this was absolutely not a good experience at all. This location has always had issues from being understaffed to just plain slow for legitimately no reason. There are 5 people in the kitchen with 1 car in front of me and it takes 10 minutes to toast a bagel? And it's burnt to hell? I don't get it. They even cut down on the drink menu and just do basics now and service is still terrible. I really don't know how this location is so consistently awful and others are generally issue-free.

The Herbivore (excellent) and an iced latte (not excellent because it's caribou)

I came here after seeing a tiktok and HOLY YUM!!…read more If you just need the short version: Go go go!!! You will not regret it!! Longer version: This place is located in a strip mall that kind of looks run down. Do not let that stop you!! There is actually a really pretty park across the street if you do want to take your food to go. The inside was very clean and put together. There isn't much for decor but it felt like your standard "hole in the wall" twin cities hispanic restaurant. Parking is free. The service here was terrific!! I felt like I was honestly apart of a family! I was check in on multiple times! My server was very polite and friendly! Very enjoyable! The food: I got pupusas (cheese) and they were soooo good! The cheese pull on these were great! If you have never had them, it's kind of like if a corn bread pancake and a slab of mozzarella came together! You can get these stuffed with beans and meat as well! I also got the quesabirria tacos! Now I have been to tons of places in the twin cities for quesabirria tacos and dare I say these are some of the best in the twin cities!!! Oh my goodness!! Absolutely delicious! And the consume had good flavor as well! Packed with meat and cheese! The salsas were excellent and had a great heat to them! Their horchata was also very refreshing and I would definitely recommend that as well! This is a smaller business with a great menu, friendly service and decent portion/price ratio! Don't sleep on this place!

The portions were big and for a good price. My torta came with avocado, queso fresco, sliced tomato, lettuce and pickled jalapeño. It was so tasty and so big I shared the other half with a friend. The staff was super friendly and greeted us from when we walked in the door. This is a nice mom and pop shop and I will most certainly be back to try out their breakfast!

Cozy Hmong-American restaurant with French-influenced pastries? Count me in! I literally updated my destination to this restaurant while in the uber and decided to grab a bit of food before heading to my hotel. I had no reservation, but arriving a little after 1 pm on a Monday had no wait for a bar seat. It's such a cozy, homey restaurant with light wood, light brick, natural light, few plants inside and a very casual patio with picnic tables outside. I could see this place being a tough reservation during peak times. I hadn't eaten all day and was extremely hungry. I opted for the king crab omelette with red curry beurre blanc. I got a side of sticky rice to make it slightly heartier since I was so hungry and got some pastries to go, since I was in a bit of a time crunch to make it to my hotel and take some work calls. Service was incredibly friendly and fast. My server really did Minneapolis proud, chatted with me about my trip, gave me other great goodie recommendations to fill out my dining for the week, and overall really made the visit special. The crab omelette was unreal. Simultaneously fresh, light, but with a hint of kick and richness from the red curry beurre blanc. Excellent flavor combo. I got the crab Rangoon danish and the coconut pandas croissant to go and ate them for breakfast the next day and they were still so light and fresh with unreal flavor combos. The pandan was my favorite and I tend to be a savory over sweet pastry girl. This place is deserving of all of its hype and more. I honestly really wanted to go back and asked if I could try to sneak in a reservation to come again for later in the week, but sadly they are when I was free the rest of the time I was in town. Absolutely scheming to come back to Minneapolis just to eat here again!

However, after we showed them the drink menu listed on their website, another server from the back was able to provide it. On top of that, our order was incorrect and our food was packaged to-go even though we requested to dine in. The food itself was decent, but it was frustrating not receiving what we actually ordered. Overall, the service and lack of attention to detail really took away from the experience.

I previewed this place at a slow time on my own, then decided we should come back for Mother's Day…read more It was MUCH busier then, with a line out the door, but they had an efficient check in process. SInce this is a place where you order at the counter, reservations don't really make sense. And we got in faster than estimated for Mother's Day. I also noticed the staff didn't look stressed out despite the crowd. The large windows face north and west like my home, but somehow it feels bright and sunny, probably assisted by the blond furniture and gold and white colors. Water is self serve, but the rest of your order arrives fairly quickly after you sit down. I loved both of the brunches I ordered, getting a green salad with a delicious vinaigrette on the side is a lovely contrast to the indulgent loaded hash browns or soft scramble. My sons went for heartier fare and had no complaints, they would rate their food 4 out of 5 though the jam was reportedly awesome. I'd go 5 out of 5 on the loaded hash browns, because somehow they are still nice and crisp under all the yummy things on top of them. The coffee is very good, and I consider myself a coffee snob. Baked goods happy hour is a nice feature too. After dropping off his brother, my oldest twisted my arm to go back and get some half price cinnamon rolls since it had just passed 1 pm. The bathroom is across a hallway, shared with other businesses, and sparkling clean. There are fancier brunches out there in the Twin Cities, but I think this place deserves 5 stars for the whole experience, it's casual, but classier than a diner.

Once I saw that there were tables available after picking up the bag, I went and got my friend who was waiting for me (parking is tenuous in this area) so that we could have lunch. We both got the Ropa Vieja Hash and decaf. Ropa Vieja is one of my all-time favorite foods, so I always get it when available. I was a little scared, honestly, because I don't know who's in the kitchen and wondered if they'd make it correctly. Well, I can tell you that this meal was stellar, with only one caveat. The egg was not over easy/soft, so we couldn't mix the yolk with everything else. We will be sure to stipulate this when next we have this delicious treat. The house-made tortillas and friend plantain were a perfect match to the hash. The Ropa Vieja was tender and seasoned beautifully. We will certainly be back. They have a Ropa Vieja sandwich that we both were eyeing when deciding to try the hash. The staff are friendly enough and helpful when you have a need. Oh, the "hot sauce" that's maple and jalapeno is a definite no. Fortunately they had Cholula, which we didn't actually use. It was not needed for the hash.
