The manager, Katie, was very rude and unprofessional during my visit, and many other visits, at Einstein Bros Bagels. Today, I had ordered a bagel, toasted with cream cheese, and she put my bagel in, and it caught on fire. She saw the bagel in flames, and proceeded to put cream cheese on even though the edges of both half's and the inner and outer parts were burnt to a crisp. Also, the cream cheese was only one big dollop, thrown carelessly on one side. Very poor tasting. I also witnessed her treating other customers rudely, and raising her voice and throwing baskets of bagels on the counter for them without a word towards senior citizens. When they asked a simple question, she answered with one word, or was sarcastic. I was not satisfied at all with my bagel or visit there, and this was definitely not the first time this had happened. Unfortunately I cannot give it zero stars! Yelp won't let me ! So I ordered the new bacon brew house, it came with extra cardboard and egg shells YUM! Had to figure out the coffee that was brewed and waiting to be set out, was never leaving the brewing station and you just pour it from there. Cashier, yeah! I've seen molasses move fast in January! Friend ordered a small coffee and a cinnamon twist.... took him 20 minutes to go through the line. I was seconds away from sending out a search party for him! The cinnamon twist was so stale that he had to dunk it in his coffee in order to eat it. (More cardboard!!!!) Sadly I love the vanilla hazelnut coffee, I may have to find somewhere else to go read more

The staff here is made up of young teens (or at least that's what they appear to be - I didn't card them). I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. You'd expect a staff like this to be grumpy and full of attitude working at a bagel shop during their weekend away from school, but these kids were awesome. The kid running the register was super friendly (not just to me, but to everyone else in line and the older woman whose friend had lost her keys). Then I watched another young employee (this one a girl) walk another customer's order over to her and wish her a good day. The bagels are great - the guy @ the counter was not nice & not friendly. I wanted bagels & a sandwich but instead of being able to complete my order he acted angry that he was having to help me so I just paid for my stuff & left. Oh boy. I just got a moldy fruit cup with my lunch from this place. I can deal with a lack of fuzzy demeanor from the staff (fake warmth doesn't do it for me, so I appreciate someone being to the point and efficient), but I cannot tolerate spoiled food. read more

Regular bagel spot but these guys consistently do not complete the order as requested. This is not good for allergies. We usually catch the errors but seriously how hard is it? If you're going for a quick breakfast and ordering exactly from the menu with no substitutions this place is great but the people are always hungover or high and just can't keep up with substitutions even if it is for allergies read more

This place has the best bagels in town! Also the cashiers are very courteous. I asked fore extra butter and they gave me a ton! This is awesome because so many places skim you on the extras. The management service here sucks, I've never in my life been at a restaurant where they charge YOU for THEIR mistake. I've worked in food for quite some time, and when the employee is responsible for a mistake then it is unreasonable to go back and charge the customer AGAIN for your mistake. For example I order a deli sandwich and they started making a breakfast sandwich, which I noticed and kindly corrected before they even made it. I could care less about a simple mistake, like I said I've worked in food. The employee started to make the correct sandwich, but the manager insisted that we pay the difference between the sandwiches... like I said we had already paid for our food and were waiting. They should have taken the "$2" loss, because we're never going back. read more

Whenever I'm in the Dearborn area, I always stop at this Einstein Location. Bagels are fresh. Service is top tier. Coffee is downright great. Wish All Bagel Shops (and Einsteins for that matter) were this good. P.S. Don't forget the SCHMEAR! read more

I'm not usually one to complain, but the female staff was one of the rudest individuals I have ever met. She wouldn't make eye contact, had an attitude, and looked unprofessional with her piercings. The definition of rude. Also, I paid extra for cream cheese which was less than a tablespoon , and my coffee was filled only more than an inch from the rim. read more

Absolutely not worth the money or hassle. The last two times I've come here, I've had to have the food re-prepared as it appears the staff cannot hear over the din in the restaurant. Tables are dirty, garbage is overflowing. I removed the paper from the tray when my son was done eating, and there was dry crusty spinach/cheese goop. Always out on a few bagel varieties. Service is rude in the morning when it's busy. During the afternoon, no customers are barely there, and it is much calmer, so service is friendlier at best. They got rid of a lot of original items they used to have when they first opened up on Mich Ave, and when I asked to order a discontinued item recently, they didn't know what I was talking about and gave me a snotty attitude about it and made an issue about it. I ignored it as usual, and just ordered around what they were lacking. Their bagels are good, but nothing spectacular unless you get the bagel sandwiches such as the jalapeno bacon, or garden. They usually won't stay fresh longer than 1 day which is fine I suppose. I usually go to stock up on bagels so I don't have to make a trip to the grocery store. read more

Bagels ain't always Bagels. At least that's my experience. So many places selling doughnut shaped bread calling them Bagels. However, this Einsteins in Dearborn seems to always have fresh bagels and great coffee. More often the not the service is cordial and helpful. Must admit some sort of addiction to the Einstein's Schmear. A fine addition to most any bagel. read more
