This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I ordered a milkshake without milk, which I've successfully ordered at this location before. The employee taking my order repeatedly made facial expressions that suggested she was annoyed or disgusted by my request. When I politely asked why she was making those faces, she ignored me completely. I was eventually told they couldn't make the milkshake without milk, so I requested a refund. Unfortunately, the refund process was just as frustrating. The employee processing it didn't know how to use the register and had to FaceTime someone for instructions. After I asked for my receipt, she printed it but walked away without giving it to me. Due to the unprofessional behavior, poor communication, and overall lack of customer service, I requested a full refund. I will not be returning to this establishment and will not spend another penny here. A little courtesy and professionalism would have made all the difference. Would have gave the business one star, but I've read somewhere it's harder to get rid of two stars. read more

Reviewing chains seems like a joke at this point in Yelp's lifespan, but here we are. This particular location is always on their stuff! They have plenty of employees (which is a godsend in this COVID life), lines move quickly and food is hot and fresh. Employees have been friendly and even a little chatty, which is a change from most fast-casual chains. It's usually "HURRY UP AND GIVE ME YOUR ORDER!" but at this Potbelly, it's always a gentle "Let me know when you're ready." My friends claim the cookies are the best, but I've never tried them. I think it's devilish selling chocolate chip oatmeal cookies. You read that right. Combo of oatmeal AND chocolate chips. Who does that? I'm a purist, give me plain chocolate chip any day. They have a solid selection of Zapp's kettle-cooked chips. These are fairly hard to come by in the wild, so Potbelly offering them is a selling point to me. Food is quick (even faster than Jimmy John's these days) and their dining room is always clean. I mentally note which restaurants are bright and which ones are dark, because sometimes I need a pick-me-up at lunch. I don't eat sandwiches often but if I do this is my go to, so like their Mediterranean sandwich, skinny and biggie on wheat. I also put extra peppers as I really like their giardineira peppers here, so spicy and perfect for their sandwiches. If it was for all of the carbs from the bread I would eat more of this stuff. I always want more after the last bite. I have to have their Zapp's hotter n hot jalapeños chips too. Their cookies are big, chewy and yummy too. Kudos to the Dearborn Potbelly Shop! During the COVID-19 "stay home" orders I placed a fairly large order for pantry items (6 sub loafs, a pound of ham, salami, tuna, pepperoni and provolone cheese) plus a salad, a sandwich, coke and a malt. Within a few minutes of placing my order, a person contacted me to let me know that they were out of bottled Coke and asked if I would be OK with a fountain drink or another type of soda. When I arrived to pick up my order, I made a call asking if they could bring my order to the car. While the order was delayed a little bit from the expected pick up time I was very pleased to see that the workers were masked and gloved. When the order was brought to my car the young man was very apologetic that it took longer than expected; since they don't normally sell pantry items, they weren't sure how to do some of that. It is easy to enter this Potbelly location when heading east.  Use caution when heading west.  The parking lot is kept neat and clean at all times.  The windows are a pleasure to look at.  It is in an inviting venue. What a great interior display.  The place is kept in tiptop shape.  They have a full line of sandwiches.  Their chips are the best!  All the way from Louisiana and packed full of flavor.  The management and staff at this location are upbeat and in tune with their customers' needs.  I especially enjoyed the giant deli pickle. I have to admit this is the first time I put two and two together and came up with Potbelly's.  There was a potbelly stove in the foyer.  I had been imagining...well, we'll skip that for now.  If you're looking for a good meal and fine people then this Potbelly's is for you. read more

Visited one Sunday after church. Nice ambiance, although the set up was a bit confusing to those who don't visit Potbelly frequently. The staff was fantastic and fun, which definitely added a star. As always, the sandwiches were really tasty, with a variety of options. However, the soup was room temperature (borderline cold) and I thought the milk shake, while tasty, was minuscule for the price. Even with a coupon, my lunch came out to $12. Without the coupon, it would have been $16. I understand that I ate a heavy lunch, but those are really, really high prices for a lunch, comparable with gourmet restaurants. While I like it, I don't think the value proposition is there. read more

Uptown chicken salad is a great salad- love the walnuts, cranberries and red grapes. I did pay $1 extra for avocado that was just a few small pieces, so I probably wouldn't add that on again. This is my first meal from Potbelly's and I am satisfied with the portion size, taste, and price. However, customer service was horrible. Michelle "helped" me and was very rude and rushed me even though I was the only person in the store. Upon cashing out and turning around to leave, she picked up her cell phone so apparently she had more important things to worry about. Yummmmmm! I come to this potbelly every Thursday in between classes and I always enjoy every last bit of my meal! I love it! You're always greeted when you walk in and the service is extremely fast! They help out a lot within the community and it is always posted up around the restaurant. The workers are quick and attentive and make sure you're in and out quickly. I always get the skinny pair. Either the mushroom melt with hot peppers, mustard, lettuce and Italian seasoning with their broccoli cheddar which is sooooo good. Or I get the skinny pair with tuna. Both are delicious!! The meal comes out to around 8 dollars every time so it's not bad. The meal is very filling and delicious so it's definitely worth it! read more

Love the food but not this location. For one, the people in this area seem very unhappy with life and it shows at this location with the customers and staff. The staff here don't seem to pay attention as I had to tell 5 different people my order. Not having a system of knowing what people order just feels very unorganized. My soup is almost always on the colder side and if you get your food to go, they just hand you a bag at the counter. Yes I can put my own stuff in a bag but they are quick to get you out of the way and ask the next person in line to come up to the register while I'm still packing my bag. I felt very rushed and it was an unpleasant experience. I won't come back to this one unfortunately. read more

I work close to this location and my office orders from here often and every time we do there's something wrong with our order. They barley but any ingredients in the sandwiches and are very rude when confronted about the mistakes in the order. They need more people working during lunch because they can't handle the busy lunch rush. My veggie sandwich was just toast and lettuce. Will no longer order from this place again. read more

Came in here to pick up some lunch for my co workers.. the staff is very polite and speedy. Today in particular the service seemed a bit slow.. but I was not in a rush and it didn't take too long. The sandwiches came warm, we always add the hot peppers to add a little spice to the sandwich and it is perfect that way. Most of the toppings are veggies so I usually add them on. You can make your sandwich a meal combo by adding chips, soup, or a drink. They have dream bars and cookies at the register. I got a dream bar.. it was a lot after one bite.. there is so much packed into those!! Also you can taste the thick butter in it. So I wasn't able to finish it, it was good though! Very rude and unprofessional, the sign on the door said they closed at 8 pm, but they had another sign on the door stating they have temporary hours for today closing at 6:30. I arrived at 6 pm and the door was locked with customers inside. One of the employees looked at me through the window and waved his hand like they are closed. I pointed to the sign that said 6:30, and he just looked up at me and then put his head down and ignored me and didn't acknowledge me. They left me standing at the door in the freezing cold. First time here in years. Got the Mediterranean sandwich, vegetable soup, vanilla & coffee shake. Sandwich was pretty good. I added lettuce, onion, & Italian seasoning. Soup was alright. Tasted like your average vegetable soup with tomato broth. Shake was great! The bestie got the vanilla malt and she liked it but that wasn't my type of shake. The first worker we encountered was great. She had a personality, gave us recommendations and had a lot of energy. The second one who did our toppings was quiet but nice. Checkout was quick. I asked if they had a tip jar because I liked the energy from the first girl lol but no they don't have a jar haha. They have some outdoor seating which was nice so we chose outside on this lovely day. Inside seemed pretty clean. Can't go wrong with chain sandwich shops, you know what you're getting and what to expect. This was my first time at potbelly believe it or not. I enjoyed it. I ordered the Mediterranean sandwich and my mom got the Mediterranean salad. Both were yummy. I preferred the salad over the sandwich bc the sandwich was really saucy with lots of mayo. This place is similar to others like firehouse subs and subway, although I think it's slightly better. I'd say if you're looking for a quick lunch at a sub shop, you won't be disappointed. read more
