EJ's pool has been closing our pool since 2007. We have never opened in the spring to anything other than a crystal clear pool. Emery calls in the fall to find out when we want it closed. His crew has always been polite and professional. I cannot recommend them enough. read more

Emery and his crew are outstanding! He worked with me to design a patio next to my pool, and his guys installed it promptly, according to my scheduling preferences. The work was extremely high quality. Emery even suggested that I add a drain to the edge of the patio, which turned out to be a necessity that I would never have thought of -- and most contractors would not have thought of it either. Emery has a lot of great ideas and he is very patient in sharing his knowledge and answering questions. His prices are reasonable and he provides the best customer service I have experienced in a long time. Very pleasant to work with. I'm so glad I found this company! Emery and his crew are amazing. They were up for any challenge- always with a smile, great communication and craftsmanship. They installed new pool lines, heater, pool wall improvements and a new liner. They have also been there to answer questions after the job was finished. Really prompt communication! I have to apologize for not writing this review sooner. EJ's was my savior when the pool company the former owners of my house recommended did a terrible job. We knew nothing about how to run a pool, and these guys were always super helpful explaining everything. When the heater and filter had issues, EJ came and fixed it, even pointed out how the last company/owner rigged it with the wrong parts. We use these guys for openings/cleanings/closings, and they always show up on time and remember us. This will be year 3 with them, and we are very happy customers. read more

After opening my pool, I had some other service required that EJ said he would do the follow-up. So I waited for over two weeks and never heard back. I called multiple times, but never got the courtesy of a return call. EJ and crew are nice enough, but DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE to have them do anything more than an opening or closing since it's a hit and run type of service. I'm very disappointed with their service and can not recommend using them. A real surprise that they would treat customers that way. read more

We are so happy when the beautiful weather came again this spring! This means POOL TIME AND EJ's is coming over! Within minutes our pool was uncovered and the sparkling clean water was staring at our faces! In the beginning of the swimming seasons each year EJ's comes out and uncovers our pool. After testing the water and adding the necessary chemicals the water is ready for swimming! Because EJ's is affordable and reliable they will prepare our pool for winter hibernation by covering it. We know that next year when we uncover the pool everything will be ready to start all over again! EJ's is professional and courteous. UPDATED: I find it odd that you have not returned multiple calls and refuse to stand by your work. You only replied to a bad review, instantly. What I can tell you is the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs disagrees with what you've stated. A formal complaint was filed with them for breach of contract and this company performing work in the state of NJ without a valid HIC license. Also I said you were great, not the work. You answered your phone, until you were paid. Then you not only do not answer your phone, you do not return messages. If you corrected this issue, it would have been completed. Now you will have to answer the BBB complaint as well as the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs complaints. ORIGINALLY POSTED COMMENT BELOW : Emery was great, until the service was completed and he was paid. They didn't prime my pool properly. I then cleaned the filters myself(they should have at least looked at them.) when I cleaned the filters there was a dead animal decaying in the filters. If I didn't check this, contaminated water would have circulated through my pool indefinitely. You get what you pay for. This is a good indicator why their service is so cheap. Emery will not return or answer my calls at this point. I have contacted the bank to dispute the charge and the BBB. the division of consumer affairs has been notified as well. He is performing illegal work as his licence is expired (13vh07665500). Do not use this company. read more

Our pool at the Tides hotel in Asbury park was in sad shape as pool operator for our little oasis . The water was always cloudy after several attempts to clear it up I needed some help . I called EJ pools and they came to look and found the problem . If you need pool services and professional services I highly recommend Emory.
