I called Ekeys4Cars because I thought that the back up key fob I had for my 2019 Honda Ridgeline had to be programmed. I called around and got estimates from $180 to $140 to do that. I called Ekeys because they had an office. I called them and got a $100 estimate. I drove right over there and it turned out that my back fob had no battery in it. They could have taken me for a ride. They charged me $10 for a battery and making a minor adjustment to the key fob I had been using. You don't ordinarily find that kind of service and honesty. I expressed my thanks to them and gave them $20. I was very grateful. It kind of made my day. I have been shoveling snow for 2 days straight and still haven't got all the walks cleared. My very old fob stopped working and they fixed it, gave me a new case and got it working for next to nothing. They were more than helpful ! When we decided to try to disarm the alarm to prevent future problems they spent close to an hour working on it and when they couldn't do it did not charge us because they said they didn't solve our problem. It takes a lot nowadays to get me to log into my Yelp account and write a review. Ekeys4cars deserves the effort. I recently had to buy a "new to me" car after my vehicle was declared a total loss by my insurance company. The new car somehow did not come with the remote fob to lock and unlock the doors (how very '80s!). I knew the car had originally come with them as the original owner left the original window sticker in the glovebox. I searched fobs on the web and there were options from $10-$156 but the auto advisor from the bank who worked my car deal was all against them. Apparently they can cause glitches in the cars security system which can disable the vehicle. He was adamant the only way to go was through a dealer. Called the nearest Toyota dealership and was quoted $113 for each fob, $125 for labor to program it and an hour and a half to do it. The dealership I purchased the car from quote me $200. I called EKeys4Cars and they said come on down. When I asked how much they replied "$85". I went down yesterday. They guys were super nice, friendly and FAST! I walked in at 3:58PM and walked out before 4:10PM. So much for an hour and a half at Toyota. THIS is the place to go for your car key needs! I drive a Dodge Caravan with a key that looks like you're inserting a plastic covered USB port into your ignition. The plastic at the top of my key, which is on the emergency key, broke and the fob could no longer be attached to my key ring. I was told to call the dealership. I explained the problem. They explained - $180 for the part, $60 to program the key. Even though that part of the key was fine. A friend recommended EKeys. I called and the woman who answered the phone said "Sure, we could do that. Come on in." The moment I showed the key to them they said, "Oh, no problem. $10." I laughed out loud. $10 and less than ten minutes later. I was done. Not only that, but after the first key was made the technician didn't like how it was fitting in the fob (wasn't tight enough) so he made ANOTHER one, no charge of course. First of all, this business has moved from Windham, NH in December of 2013 and is now in North Andover, MA. Yelp needs to update their address as 8 Marblehead St North Andover, MA 01845. I needed a non-transponder key made for a car I just purchased, but lost the key for. I had little to go on, but Jim is a true professional and was able to work with what I had in a timely manner to create a key that looked and worked better than the key I lost. I choose to wait for the key and I am glad I did as Jim was able to replace my key in about a half hour. This included the wait time of others that were in line ahead of me and his prices are lower than other locksmiths I received quotes from. A busy locksmith may be an inconvenience to some, but I believe it shows a true professional is highly valued in the community he serves. I expected a lot after so many 5 star reviews, and Ekeys sure delivered! It takes quite a bit to get me to log into Yelp and write a review, but they deserve it. I lost my car keys and didn't have a spare. Since my wife was out of town I couldn't use my only transportation. I called Ekeys and not only did they send someone from North Andover MA all the way to my town near Manchester NH, but they really shined. The person who showed up (quickly), Brian, couldn't get the service van up my steep, plowed-but-still-snowy driveway. Like a real champ he offered to hike up on foot - a long and steep walk up a snowy incline! And that he did. He came up, got the key made, the fob programmed, and everything all set very quickly.
