I eat here an average of once a week and it is absolutely outstanding. The food is authentic and delicious (especially the rice, which is the best I have ever had at any Mexican restaurant). All I can say is by far the finest Mexican restaurant in Lake Oconee! Great staff and great food!!

This place is more commonly referred to as the BP Mexican among locals, including my grandparents, because it is nearby to a BP gas station. This place is extremely good Mexican food not only because it's rural Georgia and you wouldn't expect Mexican food but because of how good the food is. The owners apparently came from Santa Ana CA, a very Mexican influenced area in SoCal so it is pretty authentic as well. It is a small restaurant and most of the clientele are slow eaters so there is usually a line reaching out the door. Go during the offpeak season to get seated right away. read more

Service is excellent, quality is very good, and the prices are reasonable. Their simple grilled chicken quesadilla might be the best I've ever had. In fact, most of their chicken dishes are outstanding, just something about the marinade or rub. Chips, queso, and salsa are all top shelf. I might even give them the edge for the best margarita in town. The ambience is about the same as the adjoining gas station, so don't go to celebrate your anniversary. What a surprise this place is! We are visiting friends that asked us to meet them there or we wouldn't have given it a try. It's completely unassuming attached to a gas station but the food was so delicious. The beers were served in frosted mugs. The chips were perfectly salty and the salsa was so good. We started with the cheese dip which was exactly what you want. I got the pollo con queso and my husband had the burrito deluxe and we left so happy. This place is awesome! My fiance comes here every week for lunch, and he took me for dinner tonight. They are kid friendly, have plenty of booster seats and high chairs, and is very clean inside. I got the chicken taco salad, and there were options for how I wanted my chicken. I went with pulled which was perfect for my daughter who is learning to chew food. She ate it right up! The Pico de Gallo is perfect, and you should definitely get the queso to go with the chips and salsa! Employees are super friendly as well making is feel very welcomed. read more
