At the time that I visited, there were only two other customers who had just finished dining. They were talking with an employee who had been taking her lunch break but she left her food to go chat with them. They were very friendly and happy to see her and apparently have known her for a long time. The food was freshly prepared so there was a bit of a wait, which is an acceptable trade off. We ordered to go and this is where the restaurant fell flat. The food was not well packaged for a to go order - not only the items themselves, which were messy to eat, but the poor wrapping, lack of napkins, and no utensils was poorly done. 3 stars because the food tasted good, but if they are going to do takeout/to go orders they need to invest in better food packaging and containers. read more

Walked in and happened to be happy hour for taco Tuesday and got 3 tacos for $9. Got carne asada, shredded beef and al pastor. The shredded beef was ok and carne asada was great but the al pastor stole the show! Order the Al pastor and you won't be disappointed. We were starving from a long morning of corralling sheep! Needed to find a good place to eat and get gas. Well this place worked out great. Walked in to a friendly smile and a clean establishment. Service was quick but yet purposeful and packaged with care. We took it to go. 1 Al pastor burrito and 1 carnitas burrito. One large aqua Fresca and a Jarrito. Delicious and we are surprised to see it only has 3.5 stars. The beans were amazing. We can tell that it was made with care. Come here if you like bugs in your food! If I could give zero stars, I would. While biting into my burrito, my husband suddenly told me to stop--there was a bug crawling on my plate. I immediately felt sick to my stomach, and our entire family lost their appetite. When we approached the employee at the register to let them know, instead of addressing the issue professionally, he questioned our integrity and didn't believe us. After insisting he come to our table, we showed him the bug, and only then did he acknowledge it, saying, "I'm sorry, that's never happened before." What made things worse was their response. Instead of making things right, they offered me another burrito--as if I would want to eat anything else after that! When we declined and said we were done, they only offered to remove the burrito from the bill. We explained that no one in our family was eating anymore, yet the employee still refused to comp the entire meal and only took 10% off. To top it all off, we left the restaurant only to realize they never returned our credit card. When we went back to get it, the manager simply handed my husband the card without an apology, without a word--nothing. And to make matters worse, she gave him a mean look on the way out. This was a disgusting, unacceptable experience, and their lack of accountability and poor customer service made it even worse. We will never be back, and I highly suggest others avoid this place unless you want to risk finding a bug on your plate, being treated poorly, and having your card carelessly forgotten. read more

This place had an extra hidden charge for everything, but didn't post at all about it. There was an extra charge for the card fee. There was an extra charge for asada on your tacos... It ended up costing $70 for 2 for lunch. A total rip off, and not very good actually. read more

They did not answer the phone. I called back and again they didn't answer. I called a 3rd time and when he answered I asked to place an order. He asked me to hold on a minute. When I looked at my phone and I was on hold for 11 minutes I hung up and called back. It went right to voicemail stating the mailbox was full and then I was hung up on. To start out our evening we had the house Margarita .. it was terrific, I loved the mixed salt rim.. it was a dark red! My burrito bowl was perfect and the carne asada my husband ordered was delicious. The owners family are always pleasant and welcoming. The interior is festive and very clean. Every time I place an order (1-3 times per month)... I always believe it's going to improve from the last meal I ate. Sometimes it's really good! And in all fairness, my order is always "to-go," which downgrades any meal in transit! But this Mexican Restaurant is a hit or miss for me. The staff is friendly. The restaurant appears to be clean. The food is ready within 15-30 minutes. Not bad. I wish the chicken tacos had more flavor - same with the rice and beans. The Veggie Fajitas are always good and honey likes the Carne Asada Nachos. The service has been hit or miss in the past, but we've only had one experience where we were disappointed in the service.
