The experience was fantastic! The service was prompt and very comforting, the food was awesome fresh and hot! We will be back to try out the rest of the menu.

Outstanding food, drink and service! I alway feel like a part of the family when dining here. Looking forward to our next visit!

I popped in for a solo lunch as my wife had an appointment nearby. The waiter suggested a special of a mahi mahi taco platter. They were giant but also excellent. The rice and bean sides were also flavorful. This place is generally busy with a regular lunch crowd and it's easy to see why that is so. It's easy to miss the location in Fiddler Green Plaza, and it can be difficult to pull out on a busy day. It's worth it.

My husband and I truly love coming to El Agave! We look forward to going every week and truly appreciate Jaime and his family, Julio (makes the best margaritas) and staff. Some of our favorites are the shrimp, steak and lobster fajitas, shredded beef tacos, chicken enchiladas with green sauce and a massive shredded chicken fajita burrito. The margaritas and micheladas are to die for as are the chips and salsa. This restaurant is run by the best family and we are so blessed to have such a great place in Auburn.

Little family owned restaurant up in Auburn that we stopped into while out on a bike ride. Everything was great, including the little daughter coming out to greet us and take our order. I had a virgin watermelon margarita and the chicken avocado salad and my friend had the fish tacos. Everything was fresh and delicious! Nice sized portions, can't say enough! Definitely worth giving it a try if you're in the area!

Barely any meat. Basically zero avocado (so you cannot say it had guacamole). Red sauce is enchilada sauce from a can.

Started off with stale chips. Watered down salsa. Looked to my left and there is a roach on the floor. Thought it was dead (upside down) until I went to take a picture, then saw it moving. Had already ordered so I'm taking a chance on the burrito. Burrito was plenty big. But had very little meat. And no guacamole. Red sauce ($3 extra per burrito) was canned enchilada sauce. Definitely an experience I will NOT repeat. Save yourself the trouble. Do not eat here. Edit: waiter saw my review and came out to offer a gift card and apology before I left the lot. That says something.

Excellent service, family owned, very nice owner, fresh food, shrimp fajitas had excellent flavor. Complimentary chips and salsa. Inside was clean. Best Mexican food you're going to find anywhere around Auburn

    Special Fajitas for two dinner

Stopped in for an early dinner on Wednesday. We were quickly seated and served water. After looking at their extensive menu, we ordered the dinner special - fajitas for two. This dish was delicious, steak medium, shrimp and lobster grilled to perfection. We even had leftovers! Interior is clean and decorated with traditional Spanish decor.

My family and I have been eating at this restaurant for years. They have delicious authentic Mexican fresh food every time and we have tried many items from their menu. They have excellent customer service, friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend you eat here. Your tummy will thank you

I am usually here for tacos, but I ordered the tortilla soup, while my friend ordered the Shrimp Mazatlán, those shrimp enchiladas are the best I have ever had! The restaurant is always busy, and this Saturday night was no exception. The only booth available was in the bar area, which was perfectly fine with us. Our server worked at a good pace and never made us feel rushed. They were also already getting everything set up for Sunday morning brunch. Until recently, it had been over a year since I had eaten here. I still love the colorful decor, and the service is just as awesome as I remember, although there are a lot of new faces now. Our food came out very quickly, but unfortunately, the tortilla soup was honestly horrible, lol. This was the first time I've ordered something here that I genuinely didn't like. The chicken was juicy, flavorful, and clearly grilled, but the rest of the soup just didn't taste good to me. I wonder if it was because they added pico de gallo? Besides the chicken and pico, it contained tortilla strips and some type of cheese throughout. I let our server know, and he seemed to agree that adding pico might be the reason the tortilla soup isn't a customer favorite. I appreciated that he listened and was honest about it. I already know the Shrimp Mazatlán is delicious because it's one of my favorites. However, now that I'm finally coming back after being away for more than a year, I've made it my goal to branch out and try more items on the menu. The tortilla soup may have been a miss for me, but one disappointing dish definitely isn't enough to keep me from returning. El Tapatio has taken Auburn by storm and is easily one of the #1 restaurants up here.... from trying their tacos and their enchiladas... their margaritas and great service from the host stand all the way up to Ivan, who I see managing every time I go... I absolutely urge you to come here and meet me here tomorrow for brunch to see what is so about!

My man friend had stressed how good it was but I was still very pleasantly surprised and GRATEFUL to have experienced such a delicious meal and experience myself because it was incredibly mouth wateringly delicious! It's a family owned business, the service was just as amazing as the food was. Very welcoming just truly an amazing restaurant that you must try especially if you like Mexican food! I ordered a chicken taquito ranchero plate I can't recall the exact name and my partner ordered the seafood fajitas... the portions were ginormous... incredibly satiating! I ate as much as my belly could squeeze in before I had to tap which is not a problem because I'm experiencing the yum again today with my leftovers that taste just as flavorful as yesterday!!! The seasonings and spice were just perfect. The prices were great as well... for both of our meals with sodas the total with tax was under $60 and worth every penny!!!! I will definitely be a returning fan
