100% worth going if you want really awesome photos for Instagram or social medias.
Less-so if you want great food, to *feel* how the vibe looks like it should feel, or to take videos for social media.
The place is pretty; I'll give it that. It was clearly created for the Instagram generation with tons of neons and photo opportunities. Logistically, the set-up was clearly designed for just taking photos. One of the neon signs in directly in front of the toilet, and multiple video game consoles are opposite one another in the sole hallway that leads into the back of the restaurant. Realistically, most of these spots are just in the way of a functioning restaurant, but if the end goal is to squeeze as many photo-worthy spots into the place as possible, they pulled it off.
The vibe was not as expected, though. I'd expect an entirely pink cafe to be rocking some fun, playful, poppy vibes. Instead, there wasn't any music, the staff seemed really bored, stoic, and annoyed with their jobs, and getting around the restaurant was occasionally like playing a safari where you're trying to dodge impromptu photoshoots.
I thought this was just a coffeeshop, so I was surprised to see the menu had more than just coffee. (Speaking of, the menu itself is GORGEOUS. Beautiful photography and beautiful presentation of that menu. I wanted everything.) We ended up with a take-away coffee (in its own cute, photo-worthy cup) and two milkshakes (which were surprisingly warm. No danger of brain freeze at all.) Take-away latte was pretty good and served hot enough to still be very warm an hour later.
The actual restaurant experience here was relatively "meh", taking a backseat to the potential to take photos. If your end game is photos, it's worth popping in, but don't necessarily expect your experience to reflect how cute all the resulting photos look. The atmosphere, service, and food just isn't there. read more
