I'd really like to see more good BBW joints in the Seattle area. This isn't one of them…read more This mobile trailer is found at various locations around Snohomish County and at its base near the Reptile Zoo just outside of Monroe. The calendar is on the web page. But why chase bad BBQ. This wood pellet (Traeger) grill smoked BBQ is dry. The smoke flavor is light to the point of being almost non-existent. The rub is okay, but when a brisket is this dry it's just not worth eating. The other meats are okay. The pork is probably the best thing, and it's just good not great. The ribs were okay too. The sides are about the only reason this has two stars instead of one. The mac and cheese is tasty and well made. The beans are good. Look, I don't write any reviews less than three stars and few less than four stars unless I have visited a place multiple times. Any place can have an off day, and I hate giving lower reviews to small businesses. But this is just NOT good BBQ. And, yes, I know a bit about BBQ, with deep roots in Texas, North Carolina, Georgia, and Italy. I've cooked many briskets. Many. With wood. Cooked many pork butts and ribs. Tons. And so has my family (I have two relatives in the Dallas area who cater BBQ). So, this is not an area where I have no experience. Oh, and don't snicker at Italy in the list. How did your whole goat cooked in a dirt pit turn out? How about that whole pig you cooked? Yeah. Thought so. Sorry, Lloyd's. This is not great stuff. Dang. I wish it were.

I visited Lloyd's for the first time today at the farmer's market in Monroe. I had been looking…read moreforward to trying some of the tasty food I keep hearing about. I especially want to try the pork belly bites, but those are only on Fridays. I ordered the most popular dish, the gomer. I asked what the freshest meat was because the reviews varied. Many stated that there was a lot of dry meats, others report tender and perfect. My suggestion if you don't want to be disappointed is to ask what is the freshest for that moment in time. Pork was it today and it was delicious. I think next time I would rather get the meat plate as all the sides piled onto the pork was a bit over the top for me. I wanted to taste each item they have separately, but it was challenging being piled together. But that is what I get for picking the popular item and not what I think I would enjoy more. Gomer was $12. I see the cost has gone from $10, then $11 and now $12. I would not be willing to pay more than $12 but I understand the cost of food has gone up. Curious why the nacho is $16. If I understand correctly it is just the gomer with chips and cheese. I don't think that is worth $4 more. Maybe the quantity is more too??? Overall, I am happy with my first trip to Lloyd's and looking forward to pork belly bites in my future.

We have had brisket numerous times, but this by far was the best we've ever had. It was so moist and tasty, the flavorful BBQ sauce was not needed. The pickled vegetables were a great addition to the sandwich. We gobbled it down and said if we lived in Knoxville, we'd visit this truck at least 3x/week! Plus, the owners were extremely passionate about their BBQ and personable. We love spending our money on establishments like this. Don't miss out!

Although they are serving from a food truck, the size of their smokers and quality of the food is comparable to anything I've had in a restaurant. On this occasion I had their 1/4 pound brisket sandwich with potato salad. While they offer a 1/2 pound sandwich, I found the 1/4 pound version to be a very generous portion and quite filling. The brisket itself was juicy and tender and had a perfect peppery bark. The sandwich is served with their house pickles and onions on the side along with a smoky sauce. Together it made for a great texture and mix of flavors. The potato salad was also very good and pairs well with the brisket. The folks running this business were extremely friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.

Place was nice inside-bar area/booths+ tables. Great outside dining area as well. Pleasant staff - good quality + quantity of food. Great reasonable value. Both were delicious and better quality than the average Mexican restaurant. I prefer the chicken. The pieces of chicken were plump and tender and held the marinade well, but the beef was also good. Dan and I each got ala carte chili relleno. I got a side of refried beans and he got a taco. The chili rellenos were not seeded. I ate half of mine because I didn't encounter seeds until half way up. The first bite Dan took on the very bottom was full of seeds so he didn't eat it. I didn't like the sauce they put on it so I just scraped it off and used the salsa. Dan was disappointed with the taco. It was smaller and not as good as the ones we got last time we were in town. My plate of refries was huge and very tasty after I added salsa. When we got the check, we noticed we were charged $4.92 for the rellenos which are $4.75 on the menu. It wasn't much. At first we thought it wasn't worth the trouble of pointing it out but we did and they changed it. I told the server that the rellenos had not been seeded hoping she would pass it on to the kitchen, but she didn't understand. We have been disappointed at Country Burrito two days in a row.

When I went to the truck to order, there was no line. In talking with the owner (I presume), he was very curt with me. For example, when I politely asked about whether they would be in Oak Ridge later in the week, he said "Ugh...I have no idea." After ordering 2 Tropichops (chicken/rice/salad), I expected the food within a reasonable time. Unfortunately, they were VERY VERY slow. I'm talking over 45 minutes to prepare simple "food truck" food. When I approached the truck to inquire about the long delay, the owner was (again) quite rude. He never once apologized for the delay or even thanked me for my business. Overall, I am super disappointed. Crazy Cubans slow speed meant that my food from the other food truck went cold. Moreover, the Cuban entrees I tasted were some of the weakest and most inauthentic Cuban meals I have ever tried. And I know what I'm talking about. I have eaten at the best Cuban restaurants in Miami and Puerto Rico. Overall: Avoid this food truck. The food isn't that great and the owners are rude.

Cody was manning the truck that day and he was so friendly, helpful and knew all about how to veganize their food and made any necessary adjustments. He even came into the garage to double check on preparation for us. He gave us service that was exceptional. The food was delicious and we need to find CM again stat! Loved the location and the ambiance of the Garage as well. The one downside is that the "location" calendar was a little hard to use since I wasn't familiar with some of the places listed on it and didn't know where those places were since there weren't address on many of the listings.
