chips and salsa, did have to order seperate

Meat has great flavor and tacos were great price. Like the chips and salsa but had to buy each separate. I did pick up. Everybody was so friendly when I went to pick it up and it was ready on time. The place is such a cute place. Decorate it really well.

I honestly don't know what happened to this place...a new chef? New ownership? I went here with my dad last night and what a 180degree change. It had been maybe 4 months since we'd been here but it was an entirely different establishment. They had to have changed the salsa recipe, it takes like ketchup with chunks of tomato and onion added into it and it is so sweet, no spice what so ever. The chips were cold when they were brought to the table. The margarita my dad ordered (a small) was actually tiny, and tasted like it had no alcohol. The price was unbelievable, almost double what we pay at other places and no BOGO offer. The food was just....bland. I felt like I was chewing, but there was no flavor. I asked for their "burrito" sauce on the side of my chile rellenos and thank god I did it was worse than the salsa (sweet and runny but random chunks of vegetables throughout). The rice was dried out, the refried beans were cakey and the tortillas tasted store bought. The guacomole was old since the avocado was a blackish green. I left a good chunk of my food on the plate. Our waitress was MIA for most of the experience. From the time we were seated to the time we had our order taken almost 15 minutes had passed and they only had 3 other tables at the restaurant. They also increased their prices on a lot of items, but the quality sure has gone downhill. Sadly I don't think we'll be back to this establishment to see if this was a one time fluke, too many other tex-mex places in the area to go back and waste your hard earned money on something mediocre. This used to be one of our favorite spots to go for over 5 years...really sad to write this review.

I have been eating here forever and I've always loved it. My family started going here 20 years ago, which definitely says something. The food comes out quickly- usually under 10 minutes for everything and they always get my order right when I make special requests. I think the food is reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and quick to check on you or refill your drink. I love their shredded beef, camarones a la diabla and the steak azteca. Their layout is more spread out so you don't feel squished against the next table even when the place is packed or when you have kids with you. Parking can be a bit crazy if you go at dinner time or on mother's day, but there's always the option to park on the street.

This is my grandparents favorite place. My partner had the taco salad deluxe and loved it. I had the chicken fajitas which were very good. The service here is always excellent. Located just smack dab across the street from your local Walmart, El Azteca is hidden in plain sight in the shadows of the big box giant. Don't overlook it!

My coworker said this place was legit. The salsa looked homeade and not all tomatoey like some. Tostaditos were par. I ordered the taco plate. Barbacoa, lomo de res, and carnitas. Plate came with sides of beans, rice, and obligatory salad. Limes, avocados, and red / green salsa available. The tacos were delicious and rather large portion. The lomo de res was a generous portion of steak that I couldn't believe was one taco. Carnitas diced good size and more on the done side. Barbacoa also delicious. I really enjoyed the beans and rice. Generally a single taco ran in the $2.50 range. I think the plate was $9.50ish. The horchato was better then I expected. This isn't a place you come for happy hour and slurp margaritas. Service was swift. Food prepared fairly quick. Looked like a nice mom and pop type place with good eats. I hope it doesnt change.

I ordered a chicken burrito and my wife had shrimp fajitas. The waitress was very nice and she suggested a (non-alcoholic they don't serve alcohol) drink to us because my wife wasn't sure what she wanted. Not sure what it was but it had kinda milky and was excellent. The food came and wow! Very flavorful. We both took home the leftover for later. We both left full and happy. I don't often think to say anything but to the waitress but I had to tell the chef, "muey Bueno". Definitely stop in here!

Incredible service, vibey atmosphere with a concert in your auntie's living room kind of way and…read morethe food? Best tacos I've ever had. I'll definitely be back and can't wait to try the rest of the menu!!

I've been to this establishment multiple times because of the good deal on Tuesdays! The last two…read moretimes have been a horrible and unwelcoming experience. I have worked in the food industry for years, so do I understand people have bad days. But when a mistake was made by the cashier who took me and my Boyfriends order was made a mistake on what style of taco we wanted for our to go order. We brought the food untouched back to there establishment and kindly let them know they're mistake and to please fix our tacos. He was argued with and completely disrespected because of her mistake and was treated as if we were trying to get free tacos when he brought our receipt in and showed them the mistake. But because we understand mistakes are made today he went back and got us tacos again with a friend. He ordered our food and some food for his friend and they kindly stepped aside and waited. Two orders were taken after his and their food was made and given to them for them to leave. And when he finally got his food it was after the portion his friend ordered was given and ate by him. He then asked for sauce and lemons because he was not provided with any, the lemons were thrown at him and he was argued with about sauces that he needed to pay for them even though they are provided for free with his food. While putting his sauces and lemons in the bag he was yelled at that he needed to eat his food outside they're restaurant if they ordered to go after his friend had already ate his to go food on the same order in the establishment because the food my boyfriend ordered for us was purposefully being held until his friend asked for it. The staff in there should feel ashamed that they are treating specific customers like this who are coming to support their business almost every week. Next time we go IF we do I will be going in myself to speak with the manager because this all around was a horrible treatment that we have had not once but twice and it's starting to feel targeted because my boyfriend is black. They had no problem giving his Hispanic friend his food to eat in the restaurant, even tho ordered together. But my boyfriend was told to leave and eat his food outside as if he would have wanted to stay in eat in a place who targets black people who come to spend their hard earned money. I hope they do better and god bless them! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. Cashiers name is: Lizette
