First i want to stress how wonderful the staff is and their customer service. I have had many different pupusas and this is by far my favorite place to go. My first time in Austin and i had the pleasure of coming across a gem They ensure they keep up with regulations for COVID. They will bring the food to your car. They do only take cash but please take your time to enjoy their food and leave a review for them.

By far my favorite spot in south Austin for pupusas (not pictured, as my hunger did not allow it). It is a bit of a drive, but definitely worth it in my opinion. The spicy salsa was really fresh and packs a punch which I loved. The chicharron con yucca was exactly what I needed. I am eager to try her other meals now! Very Covid friendly, and there are a couple small tables to eat outside as well. Also, cash only!!!

There's too few pupuserias in Austin! Overall a mediocre food experience, but if you're in the mood…read morefor papusas, not much choice for us here. Met up with friends and one of them loved the authentic vibes. When we're the only non-Hispanic people in a relatively full restaurant it's a good sign! Usually "authentic" when on the cheaper side means that it's cheaper quality but full of flavor, as people with lower incomes know how to make great tasting food that's filling for a lower cost - hence how ox tail and po'boys got created and has becomes staples. I can definitely attest it's authentic, however the taste and food quality is a tad lacking. Carne Asada - my friend said... I'm still chewing it when I asked how it was. Definitely low quality piece of beef, however not made any better by the flavor or the way it was cooked. Fried Fish - definitely the star! Slightly overcooked, but still juicy and tender, the fish had an excellent flavor. Warning it can be a lot of work to avoid the bones! (one friend had a tough time, while the other had it eaten in just a few minutes) Papusas - Mediocre. Good enough to fill the craving, however not the best showcase for the famous El Salvadoran dish. Good amount of filling and with ok taste. It could use more salt and be cooked a little crisper on the outside. Make sure to ask for the cabbage topping in case they don't bring it out - it was nice to see that the container for the cabbage had a prep date. Chicharron - Overall a little overcooked, but I feel like this is typically the case every time I've ever had it at any restauraunt. Chewy and overall good flavor. Tortillas - Thick!! And homemade! Yucca - I wish now I had known they had fried yucca, as it's harder to find than one would think in Austin. Make sure to ask for this fried treat, as it's 10x better than French fries!

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that likes to try new food. I do wish this place had more sitting available since it can get crowded and it's hard to get through from one side to the other. Also would appreciate the bathrooms better maintained.

We started with the chips and queso, and it was some of the creamiest, most delicious queso I've ever had. It was the perfect way to kick off the meal. We also ordered the Spicy Pineapple frozen drink, which was refreshing with just the right amount of spice. As a fun bonus, it was served in an adorable pineapple shaped glass that made the experience even more memorable. For our meal, we ordered three quesadillas and a taco. Everything came out quickly, was incredibly flavorful, and left us completely satisfied. One of my favorite details was that all of the tortillas were made with blue corn, which added a unique touch and great flavor to every bite. Between the lively atmosphere, excellent food, fun drinks, and fast service, this is definitely a must-visit spot when you're in Austin

In my case, a 20% gratuity had already been included, and an extra tip was added on top of it. I have no issue tipping for great service, but I do think restaurants should make it much clearer when gratuity has already been included so customers can make an informed decision. Transparency goes a long way
