THIS PLACE SLAAAAAAAAAAAAPSSSSSSS! I was here with a group of 6 for a weekday dinner. This was my first experience here and El Burrito Amigo is by far my favorite taco place of all time. The restaurant is not IG aesthetic by any means, however, it has everything you need in a taco shop. Our group placed our orders at the front counter and the process was simple. The staff member that helped us was friendly and happy to answer any questions we had. Once our food was ready they called the number on our receipts and we picked up our food at the same counter we ordered from. There is a limited selection of alcohol but they have the essentials. For my drink I got a beer (Pacifico) and for dinner I got 3 tacos: al pastor, carne asada and pollo. I also tried a bite of my fiance's gordita plate (1 carne asada and 1 al pastor with rice and beans on the side). I was very surprised about how tasty the rice was. Going forward I plan on ordering the taco plate instead of just tacos. Out of the 3 tacos I had, the al pastor was my favorite. El Burrito Amigo's al pastor taco is hands down the best al pastor taco ever created. It is marinated and seasoned very well and cooked perfectly. Lastly our table shared chips and guac - WOW. The avocados they use are of excellent quality and all of the ingredients together were a masterpiece in the mouth. This side item was fresh, light and extremely addictive.

Excellent food, good service, fair prices. The restaurant is open 7 days a week, it is clean, well lit and well staffed. Five stars...

El Burrito Amigo was recommended for their carne asada because they serve it ranchera style. So I had to go check it out. I ordered the taco dinner and ordered carne asada, lengua, and al pastor. All were delicious, but the star was the carne asada. Carne asada ranchera is the way to go! Normally, I'm not a big fan of refried beans, but El Burrito Amigo does a good job of making refried beans. And the Mexican rice was flavorful. So, if you're feeling super hungry, I'd recommend the taco dinner and order all carne asada tacos. I only wish they had homemade tortillas. I'll be back again!

A great Burrito Carne Asada was what I really had a taste for on the morning I stumbled upon this place. The interior is very basic but clean. There aren't many frills or thrills but that's fine by me. The burrito was large, fresh, and delicious! Great combination of flavors and a good hot salsa to douse it with. The only thing I couldn't believe they didn't have was the Mexican version of Coca-Cola. Overall a great quick lunch. Great food, clean restaurant, and quick service. Perfect!

First time here. Thoroughly enjoyed the 3 Carne Asada Taco Plate with Rice and Beans, Carne Asada Tostada and Horchata. Tables were clean, red and green salsa bottles were not sticky. Food came out very quickly and exactly as ordered. Video gaming in the back if you're interested. Will return to try the menudo and desayuno.

If you are looking for a fast quick bite this would be the place for you. Ordering at the counter, your order will be ready when called. Food was average, beans were the highlight of the meal. Was anticipating a bit more of a different experience based on the reviews I read, but certainly everyone has their own take on things. The sope had a nice taste to it, the cabeza needed more flavor as did the Al pastor Quesadilla. The horchata was good, not overly sweet and could taste the cinnamon. Atmosphere was lively, feeling as if you are at a fast food restaurant, nice to take fussy kids for a fast casual stop.

I'd give it 4.5 but since it's round numbers I'm giving a 4. A 5 is reserved for the most amazing places. I had the taco platter. The al pastor is the best I can remember ever having in my life. I also had the lengua and picadillo. They were both good but the al pastor was top tier. The rice and beans are really tasty. If I lived in the area I'd be a regular customer of this place.

Love at first bite. Been back several times. One of the best tacos that I've had in Chicagoland. Tender juicy steak. Delicious.

I went up to the front to pay. She then came out and gave me my check. There was just such lack of service. Well, when I used the restroom, is was nasty. The meat was dry and chewy, the rice tasted like it came straight from a box, and the beans were watery and bland. Nothing tasted seasoned, let alone Mexican-inspired. The place itself didn't help. Tables were dirty, the atmosphere felt neglected, and the whole restaurant gave off a "we don't care anymore" vibe. Service was slow and inattentive, and when we finally got our food, it was wrong--and no one seemed bothered by it. For the prices they charge, this is completely unacceptable. There are fast-food taco chains that serve better meals with more consistency and care. New David's Mexican Grill feels like a cash grab pretending to be a restaurant. Save your money and your appetite. There are far better options literally anywhere else.

El Mana is just a small storefront restaurant in a corner plaza. Inside is very basic, no real decor, simple tables and chairs. The clientele seems to be mainly Hispanic which is always a good sign. For such a small place the menu is fairly extensive including breakfast and a whole page of seafood entrees. I ended up ordering the Camerones Al Mojo De Ajo (shrimp in garlic sauce). While waiting for my food I enjoyed the chips and salsa, good flavor and fresh, although the salsa was a bit salty. In about 10 minutes my food came out nicely presented on a pretty fish shaped dish, a large portion of shrimp, rice and a simple salad topped with fresh avocado slices and some warm flour tortillas. The shrimp were excellent plump and meaty in a zippy sauce laced with garlic. The rice was a great compliment, while the salad gave a nice fresh crisp element to the meal. Overall an excellent meal and a great dinner. El Mana is a great place to get some excellent Mexican food at a reasonable price, portions are generous, flavors a big, bold and straightforward.
