Talk about an absolute horrendous place to eat... we were on a duck hunting trip and decided yeah we want some Mexican so we went to this lovely establishment and the food was absolutely ass not mid not mediocre but ass. They barely understood English. I asked for one simple burrito grande with steak, lettuce, and sour cream and I got a rolled tortilla. I believe people at Taco Bell can do better. They're really judgmental when you order alcohol as well. Definitely will not be back!!! The people who run this place seem to either be against making money or seem to be utterly clueless on how to run a restaurant. Years ago when it was at what use to be a grocery store, they were a decent restaurant. For bizarre reasons known only to the managers, they seem to be on a mission to put themselves out of business. I've gotten there before 2:00pm only to find the door locked although the sign listing the business hours had a later closing time. On another occasion I waited in the lobby for thirty minutes even though I could see a half dozen empty tables in the dining area. I finally gave up and left. I've given up on this place but have a theory. I think the people who manage this place also secretly run Mr. Panchos down the street and this is their way to drum up business for that infinitely better, though casual, restaurant. If I could give a rating of Negative 100 stars to El Canaveral, I absolutely would. read more

Food was pretty mid and definitely not worth the long wait. WARNING: They have a sign by the front door saying parties of 8 or more get charged a 15% gratuity. When we checked out as a party of 6, they still added gratuity. I asked why, and the worker said his boss told him it was for parties of 7. I told him we only had 6, and then he suddenly changed it to 6 people have to pay gratuity We barely got one refill the whole time. They were busy, and we would've tipped like decent people, but forcing gratuity when your sign clearly says otherwise is pretty shitty read more

Overall terrible place to eat. DO NOT GET THE STEAK! It was raw and still a little cold!! The pizza was fine but the waitress refilled my drink with water after I specifically told her it was sprite. Everything is basically a reheat, the refried beans was pathetic, I can definitely taste the the reheat of them old beans. Work group stopped in for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. Restaurant was not full but serving enough tables to alleviate any immediate concerns. Interior was clean and food aromas were good. Service was quick and efficient although I noted a miss on the refill of chips and salsa. Lunch entrees arrived in a timely manner. Lunch beef fajitas, #3 lunch combo, and burrito were plated well and smelled well seasoned and cooked. Fajitas were not sizzling on the platter as it arrived which hints they may have sat at the expo while other plates were completed. Food was solid Tex-Mex in terms of flavor. Waiter did not check back on us for food quality after serving. Check was presented quickly and prices were very reasonable. I was skeptical of this place because of the reviews 3 w/3stars, but ended up driving by while going to fast food and saw they parking lot was packed and they are in a new looking building...
