I ordered what was around 50.00$ woth of food after it arrived i went to the restroom to wash my hands when I came back all my food was gone and my table was cleared . I than asked the waiter what happened and I was told someone cleared the table I than waited for what I assumed was my order being re made , instead I received some supreme nachos about $ 12.00 worth of food instead of most of what I ordered ,appeared they dug my tamale out of the back and put it in a to go box and so I went to check out and was still charged 50.00 something for what was a company mistake and I've always tipped 15.00 to 20.00 , well thats over now for now on I'll tip accordingly,I am disabled not stupid by the way ,was not even apologized to or anything, do better folks , was a loyal customer Food: 2/5 | Service: 2/5 | Atmosphere: 3/5 read more

What a shame between the pictures and what people said I was looking forward to sitting and enjoying a meal. Worried that we only saw one car in front and semi's in the back. We parked our rv in the semi's parking area and walked to the restaurant. The one car that was there was gone and another car pulled up. On the front door was a sign "to go only". We thought that was the door for to go orders. Unfortunately that is the door to the restaurant and the restaurant IS "TO GO ONLY". We grabbed menus and ordered. The place is busy. And as the pictures show it's a cute restaurant. Loved the chairs, wanted to take them home. Now the food Quesadilla with onion Quesadilla with steak Kids chicken fingers with fries Street tacos -chicken GREAT! All of the food was delicious!! Service wasn't as we expected. Did not feel a warm welcome,not 1 smile from staff. Waited too long for bill,then another long wait to pay as no one was at register. Food was bland,little to no flavor. I ordered a mexican dish only to receive tacos with ground beef,mozzarella cheese and lettuce. I told the staff,his answer was "they are american tacos". Just stop reading and go to this place. Some of the best Mexican we have had off the side of I-40 maybe ever. Flavorful & huge portions. We ordered off the lunch menu and it was like a dinner since plate. My husband had chicken fajitas and I had the nachos supreme, both excellent. The chips and salsa were great and to top it off the place was super clean, from the bathrooms to the dining room. All the staff friendly and attentive. The prices were great. Tamales were decent and the drinks were alright hard to mess up a margarita and beer but the rest of the food was horrible. For a Mexican place there was no flavor to the food. The queso with ground beef tastes like cat food. The "salsa" tasted like tomato sauce. Fresh jalapeños tasted like bell peppers. Service was good and prices were decent. We looked across the vast lot at Love's Truckstop and spotted a restaurant. Not familiar with Arkansas, I wondered on the food compared to southwestern establishments. Upon entering, seat yourself, your immediately recognized and served homemade chips and homemade salsa dip. Very mild but delicious greeting to a friendly placed. The place was engrossed in talking and festive music. The atmosphere set the tone of the entire place and anticipation of the food. Server was quickly to our table. If you're wondering, our server spoke perfect English. I'm mentioning this because some places we've experienced, had to literally point at pictures because of a language barrier. I ordered Pollo Loco which is rare to find on any menu. I'm sitting waiting my dish. Sipping unsweetened iced tea and nibbling my chips and sauce. Very relaxing and I must amuse myself by people watching. Be back soon. The dish has arrived and upon sampling, it was delicious. The food was as fresh as the Spring rain. Not everything was homemade but the stuff that wasn't had been skillfully infused into the dish. It is authentic but only desired would be more heat, as in spice. The reason I'm giving them a 4 was because they they will put cheese & cheese sauce on the plates and wait them under the heat lamps until they are all ready to go out. We ordered the taco salad which was really good! Burrito supreme! Chimichanga (which was soggy because of the cheese on top to long). Ground beef is wonderful! The cheese nachos were just a cold mess. We just asked to have it taken off the check since we weren't eating it. Overall for the prices, and decent location right off I-40 it definitely a good lunch/dinner. Side note: Don't go to a Mexican food restaurant, order a burger, then leave a 2 star or below review because it's wasn't good. It's just common sense. read more

During leg 2 of a 2-day road trip from Rochester, NY to Austin, TX, my friend and I were looking for a Mexican place for lunch about an hour before reaching the Little Rock, AR area. We were driving a large Penske moving truck, and towing a trailer with a car, so didn't want to venture too far off the highway. I did a (foolish?) search for 'Moe's' and 'Chipotle' in the Waze app, but there was nothing within 100 miles of us. So when we saw a roadside billboard for a diner, we figured it might be our best bet and we got off the expressway and pulled in. Part of the building was boarded up, there were only semi trucks in the parking lot, no foot traffic in and out, and one lonely neon 'open' sign hanging next to a beat-up door. I immediately got a vibe that this was the kind of place out of one of those horror flicks where unsuspecting and road-weary travelers get kidnapped and put into someone's basement dungeon while loved ones back home are blackmailed for their release, so we did a U-turn and got back on the road. After driving maybe 10 more minutes, we saw another billboard sign for 'El Amigo' and decided we would try it even though it was 16 or 17 exits away. When we got to the exit and saw the place we did not have very high hopes. However, it was next to a hotel, had a full parking lot of cars and trucks, and the bright colors on the sign and building made it look a bit more cheery. We went in and were pleasantly surprised to see most of the dining room filled with diners like us, with nice looking plates of tacos and rice and beans on their tables. Yay! We were immediately attended to by a very pleasant waitress who brought us a coke and an unsweet tea, plus a basket of fresh-made chips and salsa, with the salsa in a cruet so you could have as much as you wanted, and individual bowls for us each to have our own salsa so we could double-dip to our hearts content. Double Yay! We each ordered their street tacos which are around $2 each, I got one chicken, one beef and one pork carnitas, and ordered avocado on each for $.99 extra for the order (not per taco). My friend got one beef and two chorizo, plus a side of rice and beans ($3 extra). The meat was seasoned perfectly, and the tacos were on grilled corn tortillas (which stood up well to the fillings of meat, chopped white onions and fresh cilantro) and were really, really good. We were super happy, totally sated, and left thinking this place was a total gem. Total bill for two, with tax and tip (2 drinks, 6 tacos, extra avo and side of rice and beans) was around $25. If you are in the area, I think it was exit 193 or 197 off Hwy 40 heading west to Little Rock - definitely hold out til you get here - it's worth it! And there's a hotel next door and gas station across the street too, so one stop for everything if you need it! read more

This place was a perfect stop off I40. We stopped in around 2:30 to grab some lunch and glad we did. We stopped based on other reviews and have no complaints. The service was so friendly and quick. For a random monday middle of the day afternoon, they had quite a few tables filled up. Always a good sign. Salsa tasted fresh and had good flavor. Both our meals were great portions and tasted great! We will definitely be returning if we are ever on I40 in that direction. The inside and restrooms were very clean! read more
