I love fish so we had to make the drive to check it out. We got our meal to go so we ordered catfish fillets and buffalo ribs with fries and fried okra. I like the fact that the fish came out hot but the fries and okra was soggy and luke warm. Neither the fish or the sides had any seasoning. Not a fan of buffalo but we wanted to try it anyway. The sweet tea was off the chain though. Just like I like it! We are coming back to try some different entrees like the burgers and BBQ.

Buffallo for her and Catfish for him .Went to celebrate 34 years of being together and wanted to have a great meal !!!

Customer service great and the food 10/10. Oh and you can't beat the price unless you're just cheap.

Catfish steaks, coleslaw, and fried okra.

I'll start with the ambiance, if you are not from the south you won't understand but if you are a lover of food, it's worth looking past what it looks like. The service is great. The fried green tomatoes were the best I've ever had. I had the catfish steaks, cooked a little too long for my liking but was still great and the coleslaw was good too. My sister had the filet and she loved them. She said the beans and potato salad were great.

Catfish steaks & Buffalo ribs, fries, okra. Everything was delicious.

The baked beans were a hit, as were the slaw and seasoned fries.

Food mediocre at best I had the brisket it was finely chopped and fatty it tasted old and like it…read morewas heated on the griddle top. I ate 1/3 of it. Loaded potato salad was meh I ate 1/3 of it. Baked beans also a dud. My grandson didn't like any of my food either. Grandson had chicken and waffles he liked both. His food was the better of our meals. Daughter had the loaded baked potato she said it was okay. Wife had grilled cheese and fries. Fries were very basic frozen crinkle cut and not crispy. Grilled cheese was okay. Overall we were unimpressed. Service was good. Ambiance was just old country diner style needed a good cleaning. So if you decide to go the only thing I can suggest is the chicken strips.

I went to 2 other tables for better ketchup bottles and they were just as bad. I'm pretty sure there was mold in the hot sauce bottle. We got our food to go and haven't been able to bring ourselves to eat it but seriously why would a restaurant think this is ok?

As a northerner stepping into a Southern-style spot, I have to agree with another Yelp reviewer…read moreabout the sweet tea. It's not that true Southern sweet tea you hear legends about -- the kind that practically hugs your soul and spikes your dentist's anxiety -- but honestly, it's not bad at all if you're trying to watch your sugar. Consider it "Midwest sweet." Polite. Respectable. Not trying to put you into a sugar coma. Now let's talk food. My kiddos ordered the popcorn chicken and mini dogs -- and as any parent knows, the highest culinary honor is the empty plate. They ate every last bite. From my 5-year-old, that's basically a Michelin star review. My husband had the BBQ burger. When asked for a detailed description, I received his usual top-tier food critique vocabulary: "It was good." I ordered the BBQ bacon chicken with tots. The tater tots deserve their own moment -- perfectly crisp, not oily, and seasoned just right. The chicken itself leaned a little on the dry side, but the BBQ sauce definitely stepped in and saved the day. Overall? I'd definitely stop here again -- especially over chain restaurant which seem to be the only other commonly options in the next town over. This place feels like the better pick when you want something satisfying without the big-chain blah.
