The food is excellent. The service was impeccable and the ambience is very trendy. There's a little rabbit upholstery on the benches where you wait. It's really cute inside. I'll show you some of the pictures. There's some goldfish inside of a big aquarium. So the atmosphere is so cute. The general manager, Kevin, came out and explained that this is the goldfish capital of the United States! so that is pretty cool and he gave us a couple of nice stories about that. The waitress, Carla, was wonderful too! She was very helpful & patient with me after we were in the car all day. I didn't know that bacon came on my burger. so I asked a young man, Dominic, if they could give me crispy bacon and they right away changed it! He gave it to me and they were all so nice about it. 5 star friendliness & service! Superb Brussels appetizer. Would suggest a non-spicy option as condiment, as mouth-burn competes with flavor & texture. Suggest the white balsamic/honey/citrus glaze we had at The Viking Cooking School. Gigantic portions are almost overwhelming for these two dinners. The meatloaf was probably 10 -12 oz. The flavor profile seemed to come exclusively from the tomato based sauce. The meat mixture needs to carry its weight. Since I'm not a sauce or gravy person, I'm looking for flavor throughout. I really just want to see a reasonable portion on my plate. It came with seasoned fresh green beans & real mashed potatoes. My salad was equally plentiful but underwhelming with hard to eat whole leaf lettuce & assorted field greens. The cukes were past fresh & the translucence unappealing & without the crunch. The candied pecans & goat cheese I picked out with the cherry tomatoes. I should have asked for dressing options but when asked said 'oil & vinegar'. A citrus-y dressing would elevate this offering. And no bread or cx . The carrot cake gets rave reviews but was lackluster imo. Served an overly large sheetcake square with thick frosting & caramel drizzle. It had a dense texture & the flavor of a spice cake mix with cloyingly sweet frosting. If there was carrot, I couldn't find it. My fav has lemon yogurt, finely shredded carrot you can actually see, & crushed pineapple that keeps it moist but not dense. The pineapple adds another flavor dimension but is not discernible as pineapple. A lemony cream cheese glaze is all it needs for total enjoyment without a cup of sugar per serving. We should have tried the fresh strawberry cheesecake. The night's after 5 special was spaghetti bolognese & breadsticks. Most patrons were opting for that. A nice line-up of sides. Only fish option was catfish but you can't go wrong. It's local & FRESH. Decor is a storefront with two tops in the front & slightly less rustic space behind the bar, which has a beautiful waterfall marble, the nicest spot in the space, with a small aquarium in the wall behind the 'bottles' which is a unique feature which makes it appear the fish are swimming amongst the bottles. There's something on the menu for everyone. If you aren't sharing an entree, & are traveling thru, without a way to refrigerate leftovers, keep portion sizes in mind. One of the best Rueben sandwiches we have had. Their roasted carrot vinegarette on our salad was "off the chain" good. We were in Lonoke for a baseball tournament and wanted a local restaurant to eat dinner before heading back home. The Grumpy Rabbit came up on Yelp so we decided to try it. Boy were we shocked! It was an amazing treasure tucked into this little town. We tried several items from Lasagna, meat loaf, ribeye, and swamp grits. Everything we tried was amazing. My first visit to the Grumpy Rabbit was enjoyable. The service was excellent and multiple staff members waited on us during the time we were there. We had our choice of tables when we arrived at 4pm for drinks. Everyone was eager to serve us and our water glasses and the carafe of water on our table were continuously refilled. The Brussels sprouts were crispy and delicious. I don't usually put sauce on my Brussels sprouts, but the Ranch dressing and honey dipping sauce were both tasty. The restaurant never filled up while we were there, but there was a steady steam of business. If you're in Lonoke or passing through, stop in the Grumpy Rabbit. This hidden gem is small town at its best! Fresh food, locally sourced and excellent service. We look for gluten free options when traveling and sometimes it's hard. They offered gf bread for sandwiches and several salads. Super friendly staff and the owners made you feel very welcomed. This place was absolutely delicious. Make a reservation, but it's worth the wait! We sat upstairs, but they have an elevator and I'm sure would be very accommodating if you had a large party downstairs. Everyone was so kind (our 18 month old was testing us lol) and attentive. The food was fantastic! We started with the tater tot's, which surprised me, as they are not at all normal tater tot's. We got the Alfredo and the swamp grits, which were very good. The kids chicken strips were normal chicken strips (which is great if your kid is anything like mine). I forgot my ID so I couldn't get a drink, but respect to them for not serving someone who can't produce ID! We finished the night with the berry cake. It appears to be a random special, so it's not always there, but if it is, GET IT. It may be the best cake style dessert I've ever had at a restaurant. read more

Ok, what a find! We were traveling down I-40 and hungry. Started searching Yelp and found The Grumpy Rabbit and it had good reviews. It's a little off the highway but not much. We were hungry when we sat down. We ordered the tater tots and the Black-eyed pea hummus to start. The tater tots are smashed so they are flat and round. Very crispy and tasty. It's served with your choice of 3 sauces. We were boring and just got ketchup. The hummus was served with grilled pita bread. MMMMHHMM... so good. I could just get a plate of them and be happy. The hummus itself was ok. Nothing special. My husband ordered the Swamp Grits, and I got the soup of the day which was roasted poblano pepper soup. Trust me, order the swamp grits. That dish contains all the flavors you want and more. The soup was good, but kind of boring compared to the grits. We came on a weekend before Christmas, so Santa was there going table to table. The whole place is a little bougie for being in the middle of Arkansas (that's a good thing). I would describe the food as 'modern southern'. My husband and I were driving through Arkansas today with our final destination Pigeon Forge, TN for our 5th anniversary trip. We had planned to stop for lunch in Little Rock but missed the exit for some restaurants so we decided to keep driving with the thought we would come across more options. We stumbled upon a real gem as we happened to be passing by. Quality, house-made food and drinks, along with very kind, welcoming people. It is rare to find a place that is great for kids (coloring sheets, cute bunny stuff, etc.) and has great food for adults. The jalapeño margarita I had was not made from a mix, and it was strong and tasted so good. We live half an hour from this place, but we'll make the drive again. read more

T had the blackened redfish over cheesy grits - perfectly cooked and spiced. Not too much spice - just enough. And, the Spicy Margarita worked very well with it. I had the Swamp Grits, which I loved. I'm not a big fan of grits but when you put this outstanding sauce and seafood on top of these cheesy grits it is a wonderful thing. Our server was a very personable young guy who made sure we were happy. The man in charge (not sure if he was a manager or owner) visited several time to make sure all was well. A friend recommended it and we were skeptical. Glad our concerns were unfounded. We will be back - hopefully many times. This is good enough to be a destination restaurant. This is such a fun, funky place that is not at all what you would expect in a small town in Arkansas. The hostess and our server were so kind. The server was super attentive the entire time and fast paced. We started out with drinks. I had their drink special which was a gin based martini with elderflower liquor and it was incredible. The Rosie rabbit drink was also very good. Appetizers were alright. The tator tots are were interesting. Basically a mashed potato that's fried, sounds weird, but it was really good. Queso was your standard dip, nothing fancy to write home about though. Most of our table had the pork shank special with a red wine demi glaze. It was really good.
