Wonderful little hidden gem here in Albany, Georgia. Delicious Caribbean food for sure! Customer service is excellent, we had the opportunity to meet Manuel, he gave us a little bit of the history of his place. We will return for more tasty Caribbean cuisine!

Great Customer service and Amazing food! Also Allergy friendly.. I have Celiac Disease and have eaten Gluten free for 10+ years and never gotten cross contaminated here thanks to the owner that went over the options with me the very first time I ate here.

Great place to eat for Caribbean style food. The mofongo is worth the wait for sure. Also a good price for the amount of food.

The Latin House - Oxtail, cabbage, and cuban rice

Visiting Moultrie for the day. The Latin House popped as a choice and had great reviews. The…read morerestaurant is located off to the side of a grocery store. Plenty of parking. The restaurant has a few tables and a bar. There is a cafeteria style setup with hot food. I don't know how the table service works, but to go, we just said we had a to go order. There is a choice of foods and sandwiches. There is a big board with a menu, but other patrons said to go by what is actually on the food bar. Someone there waiting on their food recommend the oxtail, cabbage, and cuban rice, so that's what I ordered. Oxtail - this is one of the best things I've ever had in my life. It was cooked perfectly (I assume, I have never had it before). Super tender and the fat just melts. It's over a bed of rice, which soaks up the juice. There is not a ton of meat, but it is 100% worth it. . Cabbage - I have had cabbage plenty of times, but this may have cumin, but not sure. It was also very good. If you like cabbage, you will probably like this. There were a lot of other foods to choose from, so lots of options if oxtail and cabbage are not for you. Unless we find something better, this is our go-to for Moultrie.

Off the charts! The experience? Always interesting (helps to know some Spanish). The Cuban market inside? Authentic to the core (hold on to your wallets tight because it's easy to drop some serious coin in there ) There's no written menus, and they serve different stuff every day with some obvious staples (maduros, Cuban bread, rice dishes, etc) Don't walk....RUN! You won't regret it.

Puerto Rican cuisine is far from an area of my expertise, but I am well-versed in the perils of the…read morebuffet. Few cuisines lend themselves to buffet service as only certain types of foods sit well for long periods of time. Fried foods are the worst, as their golden crispy crunch can quickly become oily and soggy. Roasted foods aren't much better, as they begin to dry out as they sit. The only things that preserve well are soups and other liquid-based foods, as they are kept the proper temperature while still maintaining their original quality. As such, my experience with the buffet at Borinquen was decidedly mixed. Things like the lentils, beans, and this fish and potato stew were nice and interesting, and I was even able to catch some fried fish as it was coming out of the oven that was enjoyable, too. The fried plantains, on the other hand... not so much. I'm left with an impression of a restaurant that certainly has what it takes to offer some good Puerto Rican food, but the talent is being squandered by the lunch buffet. Dinner would probably be a better bet.

We went on Wednesday for lunch. The place was practically empty except for 2 tables. The staff…read morewasn't very friendly. Nobody greeted us even though they saw us. We had to ask how things operate and a lady told us it's self serve buffet style. We filled our plates and paid then sat down. Not once did anyone come over and ask how things were or check on us for anything. The food was less than mediocre Latin cuisine, really nothing special or worth driving to far for. Too bad because being Hispanic myself and being new to the Columbus area, I was really looking forward to some good Latin food but I didn't find that here. We didn't even go back for seconds. I used the restroom before I left and they were dirty and smelled bad. This entire place was one big disappointment.
