Visiting Moultrie for the day. The Latin House popped as a choice and had great reviews. The restaurant is located off to the side of a grocery store. Plenty of parking. The restaurant has a few tables and a bar. There is a cafeteria style setup with hot food. I don't know how the table service works, but to go, we just said we had a to go order. There is a choice of foods and sandwiches. There is a big board with a menu, but other patrons said to go by what is actually on the food bar. Someone there waiting on their food recommend the oxtail, cabbage, and cuban rice, so that's what I ordered. Oxtail - this is one of the best things I've ever had in my life. It was cooked perfectly (I assume, I have never had it before). Super tender and the fat just melts. It's over a bed of rice, which soaks up the juice. There is not a ton of meat, but it is 100% worth it. . Cabbage - I have had cabbage plenty of times, but this may have cumin, but not sure. It was also very good. If you like cabbage, you will probably like this. There were a lot of other foods to choose from, so lots of options if oxtail and cabbage are not for you. Off the charts! The experience? Always interesting (helps to know some Spanish). The Cuban market inside? Authentic to the core (hold on to your wallets tight because it's easy to drop some serious coin in there ) There's no written menus, and they serve different stuff every day with some obvious staples (maduros, Cuban bread, rice dishes, etc) Don't walk....RUN! This is a hidden gem of Moultrie. Family owned and operated. He food is authentic Cuban and Latin fair. The ye service is beyond anything you'll get at any franchise in town. The owner and staff will assist you in ordering and picking the best options for you. I had the shredded beef Ropa Vieja and it was amazing. You just can't find food like this anywhere nearby. At 11am, no customers were at the restaurant, I'm sure later in the day people are. It was great Cuban food. I had a long Cuban sandwich cut in 3 or 4 sections. It's in an odd location, from east bypass on Holmes drive, not even a 1/8 mile, it's over the first hill at the start of the road. Try it! read more

We lucked upon The Latin House after some medical appointments. Walked into a grocery store with an attached restaurant. Menu was on a tv screen and our order was taken promptly. Encouraged to get a beverage out of the cooler. After a very short wait, our meals of oxtails, rice and black beans, Cuban sandwich with plantains arrived! Great food and awesome prices! I was recently in Southern Georgia and having a tough time trying to find a place to eat so I took a chance on this place to see what it was all about. It's a Cuban grocery/restaurant/game room/maybe karaoke place that has so,EM of the best Cuban food I have ever eaten. The service could have been better but that's part of what makes this place what it is. I had curried goat with plantains and rice which was absolutely delicious. Everyone else had Cuban sandwiches and they were amazing. I race down there a couple times a year and I will be eating there every time I go. The wait for service was worth it. The food was good considering that it was Christmas Day and they weren't expecting to feed the public on that day but was kind enough to do so when I told them that our Christmas dinner plans were over at the last minute and we had no backup plan whatsoever. I called explaining our situation and they were happy yo accommodate us with something that wouldn't be too difficult for them to make on such short notice and I was thankful for their friendly service on that Christmas Day. I haven't had a chance to go back and try the menu yet but I'm sure it's very tasty. Great People! read more

Best Cuban sandwich ever! Hidden gem in the back of a supermarket (that has Cuban bread and fresh baked guava pastries near the register) with the friendliest service and most reasonable prices.
