Exactly amount she over charged two items. So if she fixes it she has a 5$ tip. If not I'm fine

I use to go especially for breakfast. 2019 post covid I went once. It was the worse. Today its renovation is good. But the food. I Had pork chops rice beans tostonss two eggs over the rice. I got cold greasy tostones one pork chop ,beans were good, rice was cold. Fried eggs cold and over cooked. I won't be returning. I have pics.i left the exact amount she asked for. She over charged two items. I'm done. I will not return, FYI renovation look ok stop cheating the public.

Mofongo....... haven't had it since I worked in Queens! Long long time ago... there was a restaurant that had the most delicious Mofongo and so cheap..$10 for chicken, a little more for Shrimp. What can I say about Mofongo? This delicious Dominican dish that is mashed fried green plantains, garlic, olive oil and pork cracklings. It is served with a side sauce, usually broth or a red shrimp sauce. One can choose from pork, chicken shrimp and cheese. Today I decided to order Mofongo from El Castillo de Juaga 2.*I ordered chicken Mofongo, tostones and flan. All three dishes were reasonably priced: $11 for Mofongo, $4.25 for regular size tostones and $2.50 for flan. The portions are extremely generous ( I ate half and have the rest for lunch tomorrow. The Mofongo was delicious just needed a bit more garlic! The chicken option is filling and scrumptious and the red sauce ( couldn't make out the flavor) was equally scrumptious. The flan was sweet with a burnt bottom and looked like Flan de Naranja but didn't taste like orange. There first location is on Rivington Street that serves breakfast and juices. I highly recommend the Mofongo and plan a future in person visit to Grand Street and Rivington. Que chèvre indeed!

Food was delicious, the portions generous and the service was great. There's not much "ambiance" but I enjoy an unpretentious eatery that is focused on serving good food.

Everything was great from start to finish. This is my second time there and I was not disappointed. The wait staff was prompt and polite. Started us off with ice water and some yummy buttered toasted bread. I had the Steak and Onions comes with lettuce and tomato salad and my side was tostones. Everything was delicious! Large portions. The steak was tender, well seasoned and juicy and the onions were sweetly caramelized. Food tastes fresh. My bf ordered the Fried Pork Chops with lettuce and tomato salad and his side was rice and beans. He loved it and ate it all.

Come here for cheap basic American breakfast food and don't order anything else. This Dominican diner is weak. Really weak. Sat at the counter on a Sunday morning and waited 20 minutes for pork mofongo. What came out was an incredibly dry mash that didn't actually taste like anything. The sauce it came with tasted like diluted canned soup. I was shocked by how bad this was. Disappointed by this place.

We've e been coming here for years. Definitely a local fave. Staff are overwhelming friendly and courteous. Food is delicious... try the shrimp soupy rice, grilled pork chops or baked chicken. Always on point. Betsy and Emily are the sweetest! Managers are great as well. Will definitely keep coming back.

The staff are very friendly, despite the limited English skills (and we don't speak Spanish). The restaurant takes cash and Zelle. Both of the below entrees came with rice and (a very small portion of) plantain. *Roast Pork: I assume this was pernil. It had a nice balanced seasoning that was gently savory and went well with the rice. Not a particularly "wet" dish, don't expect a lot of sauce. *Chicken Stew: They gave us two large drumsticks of chicken stew. The marinade / sauce is VERY lightly flavored and I wish the seasoning could be stronger / more interesting. This is not the best Dominican food I ever had but I did appreciate the homey charm and the very low prices. For two servings of roast pork and one serving of chicken stew we paid $40 flat!! It was enough to serve our group of four. I don't know how many other places in Hell's Kitchen or other well-visited parts of Manhattan would be this affordable.

Walked into Margon Restaurant in Midtown and instantly felt like I found one of NYC's secret cheat codes. Small space, big flavors, zero nonsense. The kind of place where you're elbow-to-elbow with strangers but everyone's united by one thing... serious hunger. Ordered the Cuban sandwich -- pressed, crispy, loaded with roast pork, glazed ham, Swiss, pickles, and mustard. One bite in and I stopped talking... which never happens. This thing didn't just deliver... it showed up early and over-prepared. Then came La Bandera Dominicana Braised beef swimming in savory gravy, yellow rice piled like a mountain, black beans doing their thing, and sweet maduros sitting on top like the victory flag. Simple. Comforting. Dangerous... because now I want it every week. Place gets busy, gets loud, gets chaotic... but it moves like a well-oiled machine. Years of experience and zero attitude. Just good people making great food. In a neighborhood full of tourist traps, this hole-in-the-wall is throwing haymakers. Sometimes the best escape in NYC isn't a rooftop... It's a Cuban sandwich and a plastic tray. And honestly... I'd pick that every time. #nycfood #hiddennyc #midtowneats

Everyone agreed with my suggestion to eat Latin American food and we made a reservation at Buena Vista, not far away from our hotel and also not far from the theater. We came over a bit early, around 5:15 and were immediately seated. We were immediately impressed by the business model. It is a melange of Latin American and Iberian faire with exquisite curation. Their cocktails were absolutely delightful, I had a Pantalones en Fuego, others had an exquisite margarita with passion fruit flavor and a Daiquirí de Fresa, just amazing. Then we ordered interminable Hors d'oeuvres. Their ham croquetas and mushroom croquetas were the rage, as well as the tostoncillos ibéricos and ceviche limeño, The main courses followed, a paella valenciana for two, the magret de pato, a delicious duck dish, and a grilled Argentine parrilla. Not bad for four people. Dessert included churros and tres leches. And of course, a bottle of a great Verdejo. Service was just flawless. We had several staff members all contributing to making our Father's Day evening special. All around us it was festive, with plenty of well dressed Spanish speakers in several tables, and the accents of a half a dozen Spanish speaking countries. Plenty of gringoes too. A beautiful collection of diversity. We left happy, ready to see "Oh Mary" and wanting to return
