Located near Stanford University, parking is plentiful and easy to find. The interior is average sized with some nice comfortable seating arrangements. Pastor burrito (5/5): my goodness the portion size was humongous. The burrito was absolutely loaded. There was a generous amount of cheese and other ingredients. There was even more cheese on top of the beans that was on the side. The plate also had a side of rice and some diced tomatoes. Tap to pay isn't accepted. Always fresh and delicious Mexican cuisine from El Cerrito! Nice staff and cute restaurant that's been around for decades in the back of Menlo Park. Chips and guacamole with salsa is great, fresh. I tried the carnitas plate, very generous portions and rice/beans very good. Their carnitas are braised or slow roasted than typical carnitas that are crispy fried after braising or slow roasting. Great burrito place to try on the way to Stanford mall. I was on the road a little hungry for a burrito before stopping by the mall and glad I found it on the way. I ordered a carne asada burrito and ordered some green sauce on the side. The sauce was spicy so I wouldn't pour it on aggressively. They have a great dining area to have breakfast lunch or dinner. This Mexican restaurant is in the same shopping complex as Safeway and is located on the left corner when looking at Safeway. It is tucked between a deli and a nail salon. During COVID-19, they have 5+ tables for outdoor seating. I came here about 9:30 am, and was excited to see that they had breakfast items. I was in the mood for a breakfast burrito, so I ordered their Mexican burrito ($11.95) which came with a flour tortilla, scrambled eggs, roasted mushrooms, choice of potatoes, chorizo, cheese, mild red chili sauce, sour cream, and salsa fresca. They also had two other choices for breakfast burritos. I got an order of the Mexican burrito with country fried potatoes, and an extra side of salsa. Although it looks pricey, the burrito was on point and was VERY filling. So for what it costs, I think it is worth it. I recommend giving this place a try if you want a filling breakfast burrito.
