Let me tell you I am impressed. First of all during covid they have outside seating that is properly distanced, space heaters in between, and it's a big tent outside of their place that keeps you more comfy while dining. It isn't "fancy" but hey, it's about as cute and fancy as you can get in these times! Secondly, but it certainly isn't all the service was impeccable! Karen was our waitress and she was so sweet. She answered our questions, she was so polite and caring. Then when our food came out she even put on our crab boil bib for us! That was such a sweet touch and makes you feel cared for as a customer. Let us move onto Manuel he was a secondary server/doing all sorts of work around with the space heaters. He was extremely kind and asking how we were in between our meal. Very sweet and we learned that this is a family owned business! That made me love it even more, this family deserves praise! Lastly but NOT by any means LEAST... the food. We came here because they have a seafood boil and we really wanted some shrimp and crabs boiled in yummy spicy sauce with some corn and potatoes and boy did this not disappoint! The shrimp cooked perfect, not rubbery at all! The crab legs were delightful! Mmmmm. For 1 1/2 lbs shrimp, 2 king crab legs pieces (1 claw arm and 3 regular legs on each piece), 2 potatoes, 2 corn, and sausage cut up, 2 shrimp empanadas (ps get those and dip in the green sauce because oh my yummy), and our 2 horchatas the total was $75. But you get your money's worth! The spice to the sauce is wonderful. If you prefer a bit more of a kick you can ask for more spice! I hear they are considering new flavors but for now I would not complain about their crab boil flavor AT ALL! Like eat it and thank me later! Lol! Best seafood we have had in the area hands down. We love seafood and are extremely picky. Nothing to complain about here. They were clean, friendly, the food was awesome. All in all we are coming back again and I can't wait for my tastebuds to get to experience more deliciousness. Thank you to that whole staff/family. My prayers for you are that Covid doesn't keep you down. I hope that you continue to thrive because I want to see your restaurant grow... maybe consider Manteca for a second location! Ordered the Caldo7mares & molcajete Nayarit. Caldo came with a substantial amount of seafood and handmade tortillas. Molcajete was delicious and presentation was nice. Service was amazing, friendly and attentive staff. The inside is clean and well maintained. Music playing in the background but played at a low volume. Would give it a 6 star if it were possible. I had heard about this place for a while and I finally decided to check it out. First chips and salsa tasted great. We ordered a molcajete to share. I wish I would have taken a picture of it, but it was exactly how the menu shows it! It was definitely a delicious shareable entree. Customer service was exceptional. Other than that, the seafood was disappointing. The crab and mussels were very dry and chewy. The rice and beans were also very bland. I ordered the Camerones a la crema which was 7 good sized pieces of shrimp with a side of refried beans & rice as well as hand made tortillas everything was so very tasty. I also ordered 2 grande carne asada tacos which were pretty big & filling. The carne asada was very fresh & juicy, the tortillas were hand made. I also ordered an horchata made from scratch. Highly recommended & excellent service. I had a great time & on my way out I also ordered a Mexican Coca Cola made with real sugar.
