I ended up going with their michelada loca which was a red beer with shrimp and cucumbers. I was offered chips and salsa but I passed because I did not want to eat and I didn't want to waste the chips and salsa. This beer was yummy and filling. The shrimps were not fishy at all. Definitely a plus. In the end the beer was delicious. If I had to knock the place, the price of my drink was about over $15 bucks. Just a wee bit pricey. read more

I ordered two plates that came with 4 enchiladas . I get home to eat , hard chicken falls out . Food was bland and overall disgusting . This was not my first time here . Our good friends from Modesto wanted to take us to a marisco restaurant for dinner tonight. They said they hella liked this one spot that was hidden in the industrial section of Riverside. We are so glad we said yes, this place is amazing! We were greeted and seated right away by the beautiful and friendly staff as soon as we walked in. (Seriously every waitress looks like she belonged in a telenovela) Service was amazing and the food was delicious & fresh. We ordered a Cóctel de Pulpo y Camarón (shrimp & octopus cocktail) empanadas de camarones (shrimp empanada *there is no English translation for these pockets of deliciousness) Botanas Chicharrón de Pescado, tilapia & fish tacos. And of course the star of the show...... Adolfo who's outside on the grill in the parking lot prepared my husband a mouthwatering pescado zarandeado (open faced grilled fish) Please stop and try this place out if you're in the area. As an early 48th wedding anniversary lunch together today and to satisfy my wife's craving for fish tacos, we checked out El Coco Loco. She was totally thrilled! Her other favorite fish taco restaurant is in Sonora and it was too long of a drive for us to do this afternoon so we found another favorite location for fish tacos. I had the Pescado Zarandeado fish dish, a 1.6 kg whole red snapper, butterflied and grilled over and opened fire outside. It was truly scrumptious as well! Our waitress, and the other servers, at the restaurant were extremely pleasant, accommodating, and interested in making our time a special time together. The restaurant is located in the industrial portion of old Modesto and doesn't look like a place you'd stop on the outside, but the parking lot had quite a few cars and the restaurant was full and getting even fuller of patrons by the time we left. I live in Long Beach and was visiting friends and family. I wanted to eat Mexican food so I saw this spot on yelp. Wow I have to say as a foodie this place has the works. I mean everything from seafood boil to pescado sarandiado. Everything was delicious. And the drink selection worthy of any "real"Mexican establishment. Ofcourse the service from the servers was above and beyond. I love this place....everything is hot, delicious and flavorful. I come here like once a week for the Tacos Gorbenador and Baja fish taco, I order them ala carte and it's plenty.
