This is a great golf course and one of the best in the Long Beach area. It is a typical park land golf course but it is challenging in its own way with trees on both sides, challenging bunker placements, actual danger with water and out of bounds and great approach shots. The conditions are well kept for a public course as there are several junior tournaments that are played here, I highly recommend this course and it's a very easy walk as well! Range I believe has trackman installed on some bays and while they have mats it is still great to see some other feedback through the trackman. read more

We had a 5:31 AM tee time and made sure our entire group arrived and checked in by 5:15 AM. Unfortunately, despite arriving early, we had to wait nearly 20 minutes just to receive our carts. It appeared that only one employee was handling check-ins and cart distribution, which created a significant bottleneck. As a result, not only was our group delayed, but many other golfers with early tee times were also backed up. Most groups seemed to be teeing off 15-20 minutes behind schedule. I understand staffing challenges happen, but when golfers are paying for an early morning tee time, especially one before sunrise, the expectation is that operations are ready to go. The course itself is enjoyable, but the poor organization at check-in put a frustrating start on what should have been a smooth round. I hope management addresses the staffing issue during peak morning hours so future golfers can start their rounds on time. read more

We had our wedding here in late March 2026. It was amazing. All around. We came for the food, and it did not disappoint. Everything was absolutely delicious and many of our guests actually mentioned how good the food was. Buffet was great and the salmon add on was well worth it. Staff, bartender(s), Nicole and Ariel in the events office...everyone was truly amazing and went above and beyond to make are special day, well, very special. I only rate 5 stars if everything is perfect. - Tee time: 10:50am on a Monday, booked the morning of for myself as a single for $70 including cart. - At least half of the tee boxes were uneven, but not the worst I've seen. - Fairways were well kept, some rough patches and some fairways were bumpy but overall good conditions if you keep it in the fairway. - Greens were well kept, most putts rolled well. Bunker conditions looked average for a municipal course. - Overall a decent course for the price, pace of play was alright, I didn't have to wait that long on most of the tee boxes or approach shots. I finished my round of golf in about 4 hours and 30 minutes. I would pay the week day price to play here again given most courses in SoCal are around the same price and anything significantly cheaper would have worse course conditions. read more

Don't get me wrong, I love this course as it has a nice vibe and atmosphere, but I've been getting frustrated with the management on how they deal with new changes coming to the course. I predominantly use this course as a practice facility which, as a junior golfer, utilizing the Youth on Course Program to get discounted rates on buckets. Just recently, I just found out that today, El Dorado has limited the utilization of YOC from everyday 1hour b4 sunset time, to Monday thru Friday after 5pm and no usage on the weekends. A couple of days ago I went to practice and nothing was said about the new change. RIDICULOUS. How are junior golfers able to get some practice in when some of us either have to wait on a parent to take us to the course after work, or school takes our weekday time away? And when it comes time to relax and get some practice on the weekends, YOU CANT because they don't allow YOC on the weekends. Don't you want to encourage junior golfers to work hard and get better? There is no possible refutation that you guys can give that could not make you guys look bad. Additionally, you guys wait to tell people ON THE DAY that the change is made, not even posting a notice on the front to give people a heads up that something will happen. Just let people take the long drive just for people to arrive and find out they can't do something. Some goes for the Long Beach Open. There is no notice ahead of time that there would be an event, so people maybe new to the course would need to take the long drive just to figure out that it's closed. All and all, love the proshop employees, love the range, and the short game areas(maybe the bunker is due for more sand and the grass areas to the left of the bunker needs redoing) but the management needs to step their game up! Hopefully my review will get to the higher ups so that junior golfers will still stay motivated to practice and grow. Thanks! read more

My son was planning to golf here, but his Apple Pay wasn't working, so I gave him cash instead. When he tried to pay, the gentleman at the front desk said, "We've been cashless for five years--I'm not going to take that!" I understand that businesses have policies, but it's often not what you say--it's how you say it. The tone and delivery left a negative impression. By the time I came back to sort it out, my son had already decided he didn't want to golf anymore. He loves the game, so the fact that he chose to walk away speaks volumes. We had our varsity football banquet here and it was perfect! The heating lamps helped a lot since it was a little cold in the evening. The lighting was just right and everything was set up and ready to go well before our families arrived. It was great to have tech support for our slideshow and the staff acting quickly to some last minute changes in tables, etc. the food set up was great and everyone enjoyed themselves. A few people said the food was a little bland but still decent and met everyone's basic needs. Great service by the staff! read more

If I could give a negative star I totally would! This place is ridiculously rude and if you're Hispanic don't come here they are unfortunately racists asf! My husband called in to confirm two tee times and asked if my 5 year old was able to do the course. Nick is who answered said yes it was fine. We were set and excited for being our son's first time being out in the course. We checked in, no issues checking in, we were told to join the course early. We were not even half way through the first hole when Garrett arrived behind us and told my husband we were not able to be a party of 6 riders, and our 5 year olds were not allowed to be on the course and we had to leave the course and they would give us a refund; my husband explain the fact that he called ahead of time and asked if 5 year olds were ok on the golf cart course and even when checking in they were there next to us. Once we arrived back to the check in office, Garrett was offering my husband 50% off on the restaurant and drinks would be covered we kindly decline because that is not what we came for. I asked if it was a Hispanic thing because nobody else was being bothered and they were smaller kids on the course and on the range I guess being white is the only way. Garett responded in " the race card doesn't work" I'm Hispanic myself". I was flabbergasted by the professionalism here. Never have I heard a Hispanic say that to another Hispanic. Garrett is not even a Hispanic name to begin with. He could've said anything else but that shows the racism here and the white card. I went inside the office to get contact info on the general manager or someone higher up to talk to about that professionalism. When I asked Nick what are the age requirements he said " I think it's 6 years old " and I said ok why did that guy who's kicking us out and Nick interrupted and said the guy who brought you guys back and I said the one kicking us out the course yes, him; he said 7years old and you're saying 6 so which one is it and he said well I'm not to sure and I said how do you not know if you work here? And he said I don't know and I said shook my head and walked out the office. They need to retrain everyone they hire because they are misleading and professionalism is out the door here. Less to say racism and acting as if they are Hispanic is crazy. We weren't playing the course for free. We paid and extra. Never coming here again to spend over $150. Don't waste your time here to get treated with ZERO respect. read more

There are many wedding vendors that are very familiar with the venue and are very professional. The ceremony area on the grass is beautiful, and the tent area for the reception is well decorated. Great driving range with monitors for every mat so you see your shot, is pretty sweet, and overall good price point for the 18 holes. Nice vibe at the course. Public course that was fun. Decent pace and chill so you don't need to be dressed to the golf nines. Seems like regulars and new folks playing. We went on a holiday weekend and finished the round in 5 hours which is good for California. The course itself is taken care of. They have a putting green and a driving range as well as a place to practice your short game. The grill is nice for a sit down meal and many ladies there for a brunch/ lunch meal. Easy parking and nestled in a larger park. $50 to play during the week with walking. read more

We enjoyed a most delightful breakfast this morning. Today, we had Chuy as our server. He was spot on! It felt as if we had just placed our order when it appeared only moments later. My wife had the Breakfast Quesadilla with bacon. This also came with Hashbrown potatoes. I enjoyed the waffle combo. This included two eggs and breakfast meat of my choice. We had our company holiday party at the garden pavilion, and it was wonderful - the food was great and the space for 165 of us was amazing; the pavilion is spacious, and there are areas to spill outside too. I quit my CC membership bc I didn't find it held a lot of value: It was hard to play when I wanted, and it did not feel like a CC. El Dorado is where they hold the Long Beach Open, and represents a good challenge. This will likely be my primary course in the future. Its located on Studebaker near Willow. Positives: Good price and an interesting course; There are a lot mature trees, the fairways bend L or R, and there is a little bit of water; Nice staff and most players are cool for the most part. Negatives: You have to give your credit card info to make a res, and you have to pay when you check in. My rec to simplify matters is to charge the card at res time, and avoid people having to touch the machine at the pro shop. As you can see from the pics, El Dorado is a great course to walk. Its flat, and I can get 18,000 steps during around that equates to nearly 7 miles. This is a much less expensive alternative vs the CC. In addition, it is better vs Mile Square or Navy Course. MS will not let you make a res for a single, and Navy is about $10 higher. read more

We stopped by Eldorado golf course after we are done at Skylinks on the way back home. Wow!!! Beautiful, we love their putting range and everything. There was a tournament today so we couldn't access to the driving range but it looked so nice. We felt this golf course was so clean and open from the entrance. We see the ducks at the lake inside Eldorado park. So peaceful!!! Very nice even pro shop too. We want to try to hit the balls next week as soon as the tournament finishes. read more

A very decent public golf course for the money. - Greens are kept pretty well, although some days the pin positions are questionable. - Even high handicappers should be able to hit the fairways, or make recovery shots, there's a few holes that have challenging sight angles, but for the most part you're playing wide-open. - Weekday rounds are pretty cheap, and even the weekends aren't too high compared to Skylinks, or some of the "better" courses. Notes: - All LA area public golf courses run slow, especially Friday-Sunday. Once you realize this and let it go, you'll enjoy your golf. It's going to be 5 hours or more regardless. - Most LA area public courses are going to play 5-somes and allow walking, even on weekends...so get used to that kind of pace of play. - Most LA public course golfers are 15+ handicappers, and a lot are 30 handicappers...so you're gonna be waiting for weekend hackers to fish out balls, find them, or stand over greens like total idiots pretending to be plying for the Masters. LA area public golf is what it is, and it can be frustrating. But you're outside, playing golf, not at work, and most likely enjoying a beer with your buddies. So freaking enjoy it already and stop complaining. You could be doing much worse activities for 5 hours... Hit it straight out there you hackers! read more
