I played the opening weekend at the newly renovated Maggie Hathaway course. They did an amazing job with the renovations. They added trees, greenery and bunkers all throughout, increased the green size and added a lot of slope to make putting more challenging. There's a large practice green as well and overall conditions on the course are amazing. Great place to practice your wedges and shots within 80-110 yards. To top it off 9 holes is only $9.50!

Maggie Hathaway is something special. You can feel the care and intention the moment you step onto the property. The course is in fantastic shape, but what really stands out is the energy. It feels welcoming, vibrant, and full of possibility in a way that most public courses just don't. There's a real sense that this is more than just a place to play golf. It's becoming a true community hub. You see players of all ages and backgrounds, people learning the game, families hanging out, and experienced golfers enjoying a course that's both fun and thoughtfully maintained. The improvements are noticeable, but it's the vision that's most exciting. It feels like Maggie is just getting started, and you can already tell it's on its way to becoming one of the most meaningful and dynamic golf spaces in Los Angeles. And just wait until the community center clubhouse is ready later this year --that's going to take things to another level.

They will NOT let you play if you are a single player. They will let you PAY, but then they mention you have to wait until someone random comes and you end up waiting over half an hour just for a tee time. If they are here for the range, you can't go on the course until they pay for a tee time as well. I have played at Westchester, Alondra, Lakes at El Segundo, Westdrift in Manhattan Beach, and have come here to use the range on several occasions and have never heard of this rule ever before. They claim it's to prevent people from hitting 2-3 balls and slowing the pace of play. This is understandable if it were actually busy. Not a single soul is on the course as of typing this, it's 8AM on a Wednesday. Not a single person has stopped by for a tee time so I am stuck waiting for over half an hour due to an extraordinary rule. I would suggest making a rule where you are only allowed to hit one ball at a time, or ensuring you mention this BEFORE you take my money and force me to wait.

This location is convenient to swimming pool and a park. It's pretty much a win when it comes to someone who doesn't agree with golfing. They can literally enjoy a day at the pool or a park with a variety of activities such as basketball, baseball, or the usual friendly playground. Morning is a good time to come when foot traffic is light. Whatever you decide, you'll definitely enjoy it here. Just make sure you grab a bite and coffee to start off your day.

The course started off with a couple of hills on holes 1 and 2, then got straight from then on. Cute par 3, perfect for practice with games and with instructors. The price was $5 on GolfNow deals so I couldn't pass it up. It was worth every penny. The staff was so nice and helpful. They even let me keep my bag in the office because I brought the whole bag instead of a Sunday bag thinking it was a 9 hole or par 4 style. You could finish in an hour at best with this place. Great for beginners, although third best with Los Feliz leading the way in first and sea-aire leading in second, for the best par 3 for beginners. As well, the 3rd smallest, finish in an hour, type of par 3. The only drawback is the dried, brown patches and strips of grass. It needs more grass too. It was very thin for greens.

I absolutely love this course. Secluded in the back of an amazing park. Always maintained to a 5 star level. It's a must for golf lovers.

How much are green fees on a Monday morning at 11am?

    9$!

How many holes are here and is it for adults?

It's 9 Holes, all are Par 3. The longest hole being 129yards, hole #8 to be exact, and also happens to be designed by Tiger Woods himself. Yes, it's adult friendly and tough…

My friend and I each got a bucket for $16 and the balls get sent straight to your assigned, automatic bay so no more lugging around buckets and bending over to tee up. The range is clean, well-lit, well-kept, with seating for each bay. Mats are also in decent condition. Unfortunately, we weren't told of a 1-hour time limit when we paid so my friend and I each lost ~25 balls when we were cut off. Perhaps they made announcements about this via the loudspeaker but it all just sounded muffled and I could barely hear. Only found out about the limit when the balls stopped appearing and I questioned staff. Besides that, I had a great experience and will be back with the time limit in mind.

Alhambra golf driving range and course are an excellent place to start learning how to golf…read more The range has a shot tracer that you can connect to your phone to track all of your shots. It can get quite busy during peak hours and especially in the summer. There is also an area to practice short pitch shots and a sand trap. A bucket of balls cost a bit more than the average range but the shot tracer is well worth it. The 18 hole course is a bit better than your typical muni course. Greens aren't in the best shape but they are decent for the cost of the round. There is also a proshop with all you need and more to play a round. I highly recommend Alhambra Golf course!

The biggest issue at Alhambra Golf Course is safety, and it honestly feels like management does not…read morecare to properly address it. The driving range net near the first tee is clearly too short, and from what I experienced, this has apparently been an ongoing problem for years without meaningful changes being made. During my round I was almost hit by golf balls three separate times, including being struck by a range ball on the first tee. There were already dozens of balls scattered around the tee box, making it obvious this is not some rare or unexpected occurrence. A warning over the loudspeaker does not fix an unsafe setup when range balls are consistently clearing the netting. Beyond the safety concerns, the course conditions have gone downhill badly compared to when I played about a year ago. The greens were extremely rough and bumpy, putting felt more like putting on cement than on maintained greens. The layout also feels overly cramped and tightly packed, which only adds to the safety concerns throughout the course. To top it off, my golf cart died before I could even finish the round. Overall the experience felt poorly maintained, overcrowded, and unsafe, which is disappointing because the course used to be in much better shape.

Overall not consistent. The food we shared was quite good. Fries were crispy , wings are good, nachos are good. I enjoyed the sliders as well. There wasn't really any explanation of the different game modes, pretty much had to have one of my coworkers that went before explain, as well as how to stand and swing. Another thing was that we were not able to add more time (others were going to occupy the space?) I don't know how I feel about that. There are over 3 levels of bays.
