It was a great find for lunch. Was craving Mexican for lunch and it hit the spot. I got a chicken tamale and al pastor tacos. The tamale was delicious. Good amount of chicken and sauce. I almost ordered more to bring home. The tacos were pretty good. The al pastor was a bit bland and didn't have much pineapples. The tacos were big and filled with meat. You could walk right by this place and never know it was there but you would be passing a very good Mexican restaurant. Had heard a bit about it and finally got a chance to try the food. Place was bright and clean and service was friendly. Food only took about 10 minutes and was reasonably priced. We had the chicken taco salad and steak fajita platter. The taco salad was very good and more than enough for dinner. The fajita platter was ample and again very good. Seemed like genuine Mexican food off the beaten path. Oh man! Where do I start?! I love the tacos here! See, I know there's plenty of taco places downtown JC - Hoboken area, but why would I pay an arm and a leg for it? Tacos from this place is big and highly fulfilling! There's plenty of options but I'm a vanilla so I'll stick to my soft shell chicken tacos. I like mine with the spicy sauce! They give you both spicy and mild. What I like about this place is that it's real tacos and not some tacos with a "twist". I like mine authentic which this place offers. It's inexpensive as well, which is a big plus! I believe it's about 7-8 bucks for 3 huge tacos. They deliver and it's very quick. About 15 - 30 minutes if you live by the university. The flavor is where it's at. It's very well seasoned. I ate in the restaurant twice and they're very nice. I don't find the location safe though but the inside is quite nice. Loved this place. Me and a friend were just randomly driving around on Ocean Avenue and the bright orange walls caught my eyes in the evening night. Came back another day to finally check it out. Good tacos, but what we really enjoyed were the sopes. Made extra crispy by the lady behind the counter at our request. I tried the chicken, steak and sausage, all 3 were good but the chicken was definitely the one that stood out. The owner at one point came over to chit chat for some friendly conversation. The food is surprisingly top notch and it feeds all of your needs with a complex verity of flavors while at the same time it's extremely consistent. In my experience that takes real skill. Freshness has never been a issue. I really want to rate this place five stars great food but terrible customer service. I order from this place for lunch with my coworkers all the time, at least once a week orders over $80. A few times that I've placed an order over $10 (their delivery minimum) they refused to deliver to me because it is not in their area, even though my job is in jersey city and within a 2 mile radius and we give them a lot of business. Not to mention the lady who answers the phone is really rude while explaining all this.
