We hired El Gato for a full interior repaint. They do fine with large areas of solid color, but a lot of details ended up looking like rushed jobs. There were lots of unclean lines around door trims and missed spots behind a light fixture. They were willing to come out and fix the trim areas we asked the to repaint, but what if we hadn't said anything? We were just disappointed by the lack of holding themselves to a higher standard. read more

We are a repeat customer and have used them twice to paint our home. Extremely professional and responsive crew, easy to work with and communicate (email as well as phone). They are competitively priced, and they completed the job within a week of me reaching out to them. They paint 6 sample swatches the day before the job and helped choose a main, trim as well as accent colors for the exterior. They finished priming, painting our home in a couple of days and cleaned up professionally after. They sealed all windows and doors and any surfaces that shouldn't get unwanted drops of paint; sanded fascia, gutters, and any peeling paint,caulked open gaps and joints;and returned furniture that was moved out of the way back to original places. My neighbor used El Gato and referred me to them, she had a great experience. When I met with Johnny who came out to give me a bid, he was wonderful and everything went smoothly until after the project was "finished." I have waited just over a year to write this review, because I have been waiting that long for them to come fix items at my house. After they painted, there were several spots that the paint had dripped, so there was paint coming down the house (about 6 spots). There was a small area that was missed, so was still the old color of our house. After asking them to come out to fix it, I have gotten excuse after excuse. They came, they said, but nothing was corrected. Right now, I have been waiting about 6 months for the paint... I get supply issues, but went to the paint store and bought it off the shelf myself about a month ago. Our deck - see image, is not how we imagined it. It looks like they did not stain it at all. When they were here, i asked if they stained it because it didnt look wet or different. Now a year later, I think its proof they actually didnt do the deck. All these issues I have attempted to work out with them, and they have not performed, per their sales pitch about coming back if there are issues. read more

I am super disappointed by the quality. I have a wonderful external door, I just want them to paint one side of that door. it turns out the color they paint are totally different. they came one day before to do the color matching, the guy only stay there for 3 mins and they said he got the right color. the next day, 4 guys arrived and asked me which color I want to choose ?....! never mind, i picked one color, and they paint the door. the quality is soooo bad. the door surface is not smooth at all ! I don't know if they used bad paint or something wrong with the brush or the strange rag(yes a rag ), the door surface is just not even, no way to match the other side of the door, which has beautiful even color and smooth. my external door looks strange with uneven color.... I have no idea what to do with it now. they also paint my bedroom doors, the quality are same bad. or maybe even worse than the external door. Now I need to think about how to fix them, maybe find another company. they charged me $1685 to paint all doors.....be careful ! read more

Crew 3 (consisting of Antonio as interpreter, Enrique the "lead", and a third man) were reliable, conscientious, courteous HARD workers who arrived in the morning when expected and left 7-8 hours later. One of them was so happy working here that I could hear him singing--great! They did such a thorough job painting our large, tall 2-story house that I would recommend them to anyone else needing a quality painting job done. The only reason I did not assign 5 stars is because of an additional 3-man crew who were here for one day only. I spotted one of them taking non-business related photographs with his cell phone, and two of them left my patio chair pads stained from their lunch food. I hired El Gato to paint the interior of my home in 2016. They got the work done quickly... maybe a little too quickly. I had to call them back twice to fix the corners of my accent walls as the paint line was not straight. Ken sent someone from his crew to fix the mistake at no additional charge and without hassle. As I'm fixing things in my home in the current year, I'm starting to find areas that were painted lazily by the crew. In example, hardware was painted over rather than covered with tape, vents were sprayed with texture rather than being covered, electrical switches were painted on, the side of the door frames has wall paint on them, and light fixtures had paint and texture sprayed into the electrical box. read more

I met.Ken at a home show in which he was advertising. I asked them for an estimate due to the fact that I needed to repaint two homes, we made an appointment. He then came out earlier than expected looked at one of the homes, and they went to the other home, which was not far away, I'm assuming he looked at that home as well and that was the last time I heard from him I've called him at least 5 to 6 times I also emailed him and he has not once ever gotten back to me. I would never wanna do any kind of business with him, he is unreliable unresponsive, and I feel that if that's how he conduct his business I could imagine how is Painting must be. I called and setup an appointment for a paint quote and since I could not be there, I gave them my lockbox code to open the front door and inspect the home to give me a quote. They get 2 stars because: 1) I found out that my front door was left unlocked when the person left. 2) I asked for a quote soon as I have a short timeline before I need to make a decision on which paint contractor to go with. The person said they would try to send me something last Friday and it's now late Monday morning and I still haven't received anything yet. We got several quotes for exterior house painting before hiring El Gato and are very pleased with the results. Julio came out to give the estimate and was the most thorough of all the companies, pointing out things that needed fixing or replacing. Siding needed a lot of work to repair which they did a great job of. Also including gutters that were in bad shape. The gutter work was done by another company who were not as reliable as El Gato, but Julio worked with them and they eventually showed up, delaying our project by only one day. The guys doing the painting were very pleasant and professional and cleared up nicely each day. On the last day it was extremely hot and the foreman came back at 9pm just to varnish the threshold because it would have blistered in the sun. Would recommend this company. read more

They sent out their first crew to fix things but all they had were excuses on why they did what they did, I sent that crew away. It took them over a Month to get back around to us but they did finally fix everything to our satisfaction. Very unprofessional, cracks were not textured, they varnished over the dirt on the doors, did not remove plug and switch covers, painted over a few plug outlets ... the prime example of why NOT to use them... they painted above the refrigerator where it shows and NOT behind it. There are just some things that seperate a professional job from the other... and they did ... the other. I should NOT be having to tell them how to do their job properly. 1. Masking left on mirror, bedroom door middle bed room 2. Crack at dining room slider, poorly done 3. Towel bars and paper holders, not removed to paint 4. Linen closet poorly painted 5.
