The best enchiladas I've had so far. I don't know what they put in their green sauce but it's fantastic. I would say it's probably the most affordable sit down restaurant in the area that is worth your time. Staff is always friendly and restaurant is always clean. I usually order ahead and have never had issues with waiting for my food to come out. Highly recommend

Staff and Service: - Order at the counter and the cashier will give you a number - The cashier helped answer questions we had about the menu, which was helpful Food: - Enchiladas: not your typical enchiladas - this dish was more of a layered enchilada instead of rolled. The flavor was good, the chicken was moist, and there was a good amount of rice and beans - Tacos Dorados: I wouldn't call these tacos, but more like crispy taquitos. The chicken in these was pretty dry - Soda, water, beer, margaritas, etc. are available as drinks for purchase Miscellaneous: - There is indoor seating, as well as outdoor seating that is shared amongst the other restaurants in a courtyard - The outdoor tables are large and good for big groups - Bathrooms are communal to the shopping area - Parking is available via parking lots surrounding the shopping area

I have been contemplating coming to this place every-time I walk larkspur landing but just couldn't get myself to pay $8 a taco. I finally decided to just even try! I went in on a nice day and decided to get a michelada and a fish taco, the person I was with ate a taco de asada and also had a michelada, for that I paid $35. It took around 15-20 minutes to get our beers and tacos. The michelada was very tasty but the beer was room temperate so it was a bit dissatisfying as it was a fairly hot day. The fish taco has absolutely no flavor and it came with an orange salsa but that also lacked flavor. The taco de asada also lacked any seasoning and not much cilantro or onion on it either. The price tag of $8 is extreme especially for what they delivered. I cannot say much about the main courses as we just had the tacos but I personally would only be back if it was again a hot day and was craving a michelada (and if I was in the area otherwise I'd go somewhere else).

Stopped by El Huarache Loco for dinner and enjoyed it. It's a bright, casual spot with a chill vibe and friendly staff--perfect for a laid-back meal. The margarita was simple and refreshing--not too sweet, nice lime flavor, and just strong enough. Great pairing with the food

I ordered the quesa birria, and it was delicious! The tortillas were perfectly crispy, packed with tender, flavorful birria, and the consommé was rich and savory--great for dipping. The portion was generous, easily enough to feed two people. I also got a few extras, and with the tip, the total came out to $33, which is a really good price for the area. Definitely worth it for the quality and portion size. I'd order again!

We had a reservation for Father's Day and waited about 10 minutes for a table to open, as it was the busiest I have seen. The table was nice, big enough for the five of us, and the ambiance is always great here as well. We were quickly greeted by our server, Eli, who provided chips and salsas to whet our appetites, and we soon narrowed our focus to the food and drink menus. We ultimately decided on some El Jefe Tacos, a shrimp and crab enchilada, a three-item combo with two chile rellenos and a cheese enchilada with green sauce, a carne asada taco, and the volcanic Molcajete (served in a warm stone bowl with grilled steak, chicken, and prawns. Covered with a red chile, roasted tomato sauce). For libations, we went with a mojito and a new drink - for us at least - the pineapple mezcal mule! The food came in a timely manner, and the molcajete was still bubbling! Hence, the volcano nickname! The mojito was very minty and refreshing, and the pineapple mezcal mule was an acquired taste for some of the group - I enjoyed the smoky earthiness of the mezcal, but it's not your run-of-the-mill tequila, so if you are new to mezcal, be aware of the difference. The food last time was a bit spicy, but this time it was not an issue. Still spicy, but not to the point of being overpowering. Even the salsas were not as extreme. Good for some of us! All the food was delicious, and the three-item combo was great to look at as well. As we say, "the eyes eat first," and indeed my eyes were little piggies that meal! Overall, the service was great, the food great, and the entertainment a perfect background for what would have been just a noisy bunch of chatter. Overall a great Father's Day lunch.

I came around 4:30pm, and the restaurant was empty, so we were seated immediately. Service was quick and efficient. I did hear a lot of the loud conversation between the two girls at the register about Instagram and TikTok.... I ordered the super burrito, which was nicely toasted, but overall it was just okay. It wasn't bad, but it didn't stand out either. There was no real spice or bold flavor, and I couldn't quite figure out what it was missing. The horchata was pretty basic. It tasted more like plain milk with cinnamon sprinkled on top rather than the richer, more flavorful horchata you'd expect. I also tried the Baja fish tacos, which were disappointing. The fish wasn't crispy enough and lacked flavor. The tortilla was easily breaking apart. It's like they took the tortilla straight out of the bag because it was cold and didn't look cooked. It came with tortilla chips that were over-fried and borderline burnt, though I wasn't sure if that was intentional. Another reason this ended up being a lower rating for me is the owner's response to feedback. As you can see in other reviews, Tommy tends to get very defensive when customers leave criticism, which I found pretty unprofessional. After I posted my review, he actually messaged me directly (see screenshot), which was honestly off-putting. Yelp is meant to be a space for customers to share their honest experiences, whether positive or negative, and responding in that way doesn't reflect well on the business. I also live in San Francisco, where there's no shortage of authentic and high-quality Mexican food, so I stand by my opinion. Being told my palate isn't "on point" felt dismissive rather than constructive. If anything, I'd just caution others that if you leave feedback here, be prepared for a defensive response from ownership, which may impact your overall experience beyond just the food. Overall, I was surprised given the strong reviews. The meal felt pretty bland across the board, and unfortunately it didn't live up to the hype. Also the owner's attitude doesn't deserve any business. After the owners negative and defensive responses, I know I won't come back.

It took almost 10 minutes after we arrived for someone to greet us- not sure why. However we were seated outdoors as we requested which was appreciated. We started with the chips & salsas- the chips were just as I like them; thin, crispy with salt. My sister had the vegan enchiladas and her husband the vegan pozole which he raved about. My son had the trio of carnitas tacos and was quite satisfied. I thoroughly enjoyed the veggie (not vegan as I love my queso) chile rellenos - they were divine. The sauce was perfectly flavored. We shared the churros for dessert- a bit disappointed as they were not crispy & a bit doughy on the inside. Our server was friendly and the prices were reasonable. All in all a great experience and would return.

The inside was clean and as soon as a table finished it was immediately bussed and cleaned. I like that they had a open cooking area so you can see how they prep all the orders. I ordered a Carnitas Super Burrito and 3 Pastor Soft Tacos, I liked the complimentary salsa bar which had a few different pickled items, red and green salsa's along with chips. The Carnitas Burrito was good, the mix of the sour cream, guacamole, beans and rice with the salsa gave it good amount of flavor. My only issue was the Carnitas was a bit dry and chewy and was mostly just salty in flavor. Still Tasted ok but it could of been great if they gave a bit more love to the Carnitas. Feels like it was on the flat top to long. The Pastor Tacos were good as well, The onions, cilantro, and salsa they put on the the taco's was a good combination. The Pastor was seasoned good and had a nice spice level to it with a bit of sweetness. My only issue was that the Pastor like the Carnitas was tough and dry. Overall I liked the food and the price for what you get is a good deal for sure, just wished the Carnitas and Pastor were prepared a differently as it would have been a 5/5.
