Looking for a quick stop between Sonoma and SFO airport and this taco shop was a great find! I had the veggie calzados- a rice - less burrito with cauliflower sweet potato and black beans and spicy salsa. Tortilla was heated on the grill to make an easy to eat package. Great guac and cheese too. Hubby had 2 chicken tacos with corn tortillas and enjoyed them too. In the TJs parking lot- fast service and convenient off and on ramps to Rt 101. Highly recommend for a quick delicious meal no frills but hit the mark! Self service iPad to order but they were happy to help too.

Tasty cheesy and bierra tacos... Enough said! Really good fresh ingredients and salsas make this taco stand standout next to T.J.s and Cost Plus! As their motto says "don't shop hungry"

I discovered this place as I was on my way to a different store but it was during my lunch hour, so I had to stop because it smelled so good. I ordered two chicken tacos and one calzado. I stood next to a few other people waiting to place an order. I asked if they had ever visited this place and all of them had such great things to say about the food. I will say it was scrumptious! There is no place to stay and sit, so it must be a to go order, which is fine by me. Just be aware of this, in case you are wanting to sit and enjoy your meal. I placed my order and returned to pick up my meal, which worked out nicely. I will definitely be returning! The guys are working hard and it was non-stop!

Decided to stop by this Taco Stand on my way into Trader Joes and was not disappointed! I ordered a Calzado which came out to about 10$ after tax. It was decently sized and fairly priced but very good! The ingredients taste very fresh and they make sure to load you up on the guac. It's a stand so there isn't any indoor seating but there is a good amount of outside seating on the public benches. This has become my favorite spot for authentic tasting mexican food and tastes significantly better than the 20$ burrito places around town. They also list specials that aren't on their online menu so check out what special they have that day (today they did 3 tacos for 10$). I definitely recommend giving the friendly staff at Lupita's a visit next time your going to Trader Joes or Cost Plus!

    Sad Al pastor taco.

Tiny tacos, tiny salsa, BIG prices. Seriously, each taco was eaten in 2 easy bites- and for 3$ or more each it's robbery. Oh and a lemon wedge instead of lime to boot. SMH

The cheesy pastor tacos are probably the best tacos I've had in Marin. Location is convenient. Only wish they had more shady seating.

Excellent tacos! Crispy edges, well-seasoned meat, cheesy goodness. For a place in Marin, I did not expect such a find. Highly recommend!

Good food, albeit skinny on meat and rather shrinkflationary but be vary of double charges if doing apple pay.

Wowwieeeee- we live a few blocks away but have never come here and I'm so glad we did. I ordered…read moretheir special Aguachile Tostadas (raw scallop, marinated cucumber, red onion with an Indian inspired tamarind chutney and cilantro chutney on the side). It was outrageous! Very far from what I was expecting and I'll be thinking about it for a while. My partner got the fish tacos and he was also pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was super cute and I loved the homey decor and the folks who worked the front were sweet as well. I'm looking forward to trying more of their items!

I came around 4:30pm, and the restaurant was empty, so we were seated immediately. Service was quick and efficient. I did hear a lot of the loud conversation between the two girls at the register about Instagram and TikTok.... I ordered the super burrito, which was nicely toasted, but overall it was just okay. It wasn't bad, but it didn't stand out either. There was no real spice or bold flavor, and I couldn't quite figure out what it was missing. The horchata was pretty basic. It tasted more like plain milk with cinnamon sprinkled on top rather than the richer, more flavorful horchata you'd expect. I also tried the Baja fish tacos, which were disappointing. The fish wasn't crispy enough and lacked flavor. The tortilla was easily breaking apart. It's like they took the tortilla straight out of the bag because it was cold and didn't look cooked. It came with tortilla chips that were over-fried and borderline burnt, though I wasn't sure if that was intentional. Another reason this ended up being a lower rating for me is the owner's response to feedback. As you can see in other reviews, Tommy tends to get very defensive when customers leave criticism, which I found pretty unprofessional. After I posted my review, he actually messaged me directly (see screenshot), which was honestly off-putting. Yelp is meant to be a space for customers to share their honest experiences, whether positive or negative, and responding in that way doesn't reflect well on the business. I also live in San Francisco, where there's no shortage of authentic and high-quality Mexican food, so I stand by my opinion. Being told my palate isn't "on point" felt dismissive rather than constructive. If anything, I'd just caution others that if you leave feedback here, be prepared for a defensive response from ownership, which may impact your overall experience beyond just the food. Overall, I was surprised given the strong reviews. The meal felt pretty bland across the board, and unfortunately it didn't live up to the hype. Also the owner's attitude doesn't deserve any business. After the owners negative and defensive responses, I know I won't come back.

We had a reservation for Father's Day and waited about 10 minutes for a table to open, as it was the busiest I have seen. The table was nice, big enough for the five of us, and the ambiance is always great here as well. We were quickly greeted by our server, Eli, who provided chips and salsas to whet our appetites, and we soon narrowed our focus to the food and drink menus. We ultimately decided on some El Jefe Tacos, a shrimp and crab enchilada, a three-item combo with two chile rellenos and a cheese enchilada with green sauce, a carne asada taco, and the volcanic Molcajete (served in a warm stone bowl with grilled steak, chicken, and prawns. Covered with a red chile, roasted tomato sauce). For libations, we went with a mojito and a new drink - for us at least - the pineapple mezcal mule! The food came in a timely manner, and the molcajete was still bubbling! Hence, the volcano nickname! The mojito was very minty and refreshing, and the pineapple mezcal mule was an acquired taste for some of the group - I enjoyed the smoky earthiness of the mezcal, but it's not your run-of-the-mill tequila, so if you are new to mezcal, be aware of the difference. The food last time was a bit spicy, but this time it was not an issue. Still spicy, but not to the point of being overpowering. Even the salsas were not as extreme. Good for some of us! All the food was delicious, and the three-item combo was great to look at as well. As we say, "the eyes eat first," and indeed my eyes were little piggies that meal! Overall, the service was great, the food great, and the entertainment a perfect background for what would have been just a noisy bunch of chatter. Overall a great Father's Day lunch.

Am liking this place more than before. Went with daughter-in-law, wife and one grandchild for lunch…read moreand it was OK. Mexican Jarrito sodas are $5 each, a glass of Modelo beer is $7 and a small orange juice is $6. Prices, to us, are high. Yes, it is in California, but Mexican dishes are not that expensive to make. Eli was our server and he did a good job with us. The Conchinita Pibil Tacos plate ($21) is a Yucatán Peninsula dish of deeply flavorful pulled pork, marinated in citrus and achiote (those tiny red seeds common in the Americas) paste. Served with pickled onions on corn tortillas. They were OK. Huevos Rancheros ($19) were, as expected, fried eggs over corn tortillas and slathered with green and red sauces. Pretty good. Most expensive was the five Street Taco Plate ($48), an outrageous price for five street tacos. Of course, you could choose what protein you wanted in those five tacos, but... We will be back as son's family like it very much. We...not so much.
