Ok so the food is definitely not authentic Mexican, which we knew from the name (and location if I'm being honest). So I've already lowered my expectations. Super clean inside with plenty of seating area or you can take it outside while your kid plays on the little play structure. Very friendly cook and order taker. The downsides: although I asked if the guac was made in house (which it is) I assumed the sour cream and guac and lettuce etc would be on the outside of my quesadilla but it was all combined inside. It was pretty greasy and that's tough on my tummy so I wasn't able to eat much more than the tort unfortunately. Not my cup of tea but it doesn't make it bad. Meat was well cooked and seasoned. I think if I ever came back here, I'd ask them to keep the guac, crema and pico outside the quesadilla or just order tacos. Also the shinning star of this place would be their salsa. I live close to Roadrunner. After several rude and/or wrong orders, I stopped going several years ago. Today, I had visiting friends ask for Roadrunner burritos, knowing they're close by. I didn't tell them I don't recommend it. I called to place an order (3 burritos) for pickup. The phone rang and rang. Yelp says they're open (but I don't think they have claimed their page... fwiw) I drove down to order, and they are closed on Sundays. hint: there's such thing as answering machines - even voicemail. hint hint: hours on Yelp are easy to update and help customers. Re-upping my promise never to go to Roadrunner again. Hopefully, from one business owner to another, these easy improvements will help your customers and our community. read more

If the owner of this business is Mexican, shame on you, if the owner of this business is white they either need a Mexican to give them advice or sell this business to a Mexican because this place sucks, the service is good and the food isn't horrible but what I ordered is not what they gave me, to them 3 Asada tacos are tacos with big tortillas, red cabbage, regular cabbage, tomatoes, cheese and cilantro, when it should have been simply A small soft taco, with cilantro, some diced onions and asada, and then add the mild or whatever sauce they have on top. Our 19th hole was here this past Tuesday. Located at the Bon Air shopping center. Plenty of parking spaces. Hubby & I were thinking taco salads. We took a look at the menu board and saw burritos or bowls. A bowl versus a wrapped burrito? That was a new concept to us. A bowl is everything in a burrito but without the flour tortilla. Animal style. That was appealing to us. We both ordered bowls to go. While we waited for our order, I got two salsa sides - green chile and diced tomatoes and onions. There's a handwritten note above the salsa cart that says two is the limit. One great feature of the shopping center - so much outdoor dining. We sat outside and ate our burrito minus tortilla. All the insides placed nicely in a takeout disposable flat carton. I ate mine by section whereas hubby mixed all his ingredients together. This is a peculiar mexican restaurant for sure. The inside decor looks and feels like a genuine mexican place but it has a name like Roadrunner and offers BBQ and teriyaki burritos. Oddities aside, I felt like the biggest burrito they offered, The Roadrunner, was not worth almost 16 dollars. The fact that this is supposed to be a casual mexican place but cost me 20 dollars for a burrito and drink due to the price of the food, the 3% living wage surcharge (which i'm fine with), and the default tip on the ipad screen set to 15% (which i'm not fine with being set to 15% since they already charge you a mandatory tip) is kind of odd to me- but it's still a good bite nonetheless read more

Chicken picante burrito is so good! Idk why this place has 2.5 stars. Definitely a 4 star spot. Black beans cooked perfectly. Red salsa tasted great and really spicy (you've been warned). We also got guacamole with chips and some salsa and hot sauce from the little makeshift setup. The orange hot sauce is really good. Came in a bit on the late side and I get it most of the stuff was already put up. I asked which was the hotter of the two salsas and was til the red and the green one. I didn't have any chips nor were any offered unless I paid so I used a plastic knife and dipped the tip in the salsa. Reversed it and dipped the second, counter man got PISSED! Pointed out the little cups after the fact and stomped around a little. I offered to buy both of the tubs on the spot realizing what he thought I had done. All said n done he must not have thought it was that bad because he told me no and left it out for other people to use. First impression via their chorizo breakfast burrito...just amazing classic. A delicious hearty blend of nicely cooked eggs...potatoes with a bite...pico de gallo...tasty chorizo...and not too cheesy. Just a balanced breakfast burrito that I would repeat again and again. Wow - what a difference new management makes. This was a damn good steak burrito! I've been to Roadrunner in the past and was never really impressed by their food or service. But I decided to give them another shot once I heard about the management/kitchen change. So glad I did! The burritos here are seriously legit. My El Stuffo Steak Burrito (perfectly cooked steak, rice, refried beans, hot salsa, cheese, sour cream in a white flour tortilla) was extremely satisfying and filling (and under 10 bucks). I'm definitely putting Roadrunner Burrito in my weekly lunch rotation. BTW, they have a great salsa bar and a nice selection of refreshing beverages to help wash your meal down. Walked in and all the guys were talking. No greeting, no stopping to take my order. Just continued to talk. Whatever - a little rude but not the end of the world. I order a chicken quesadilla to go. When I get back to work I notice my quesadilla is super thin. There can't possibly be any chicken in there. I eat the entire thing, not a shred of chicken. I can't comment on the lunch/dinner menu yet, but the breakfast burrito is fantastic and by far the best I've found in my 6 years in the Bay Area. I'd been consistently disappointed by the ~20 spots I tried in East Bay and SF. I assumed Marin couldn't possibly have a good option if East Bay and SF are so badly lacking.....but what do you know, Road Runner! The chorizo breakfast burrito is absolutely lights out, but I do admittedly love chorizo. The bacon and the sausage are excellent as well. And don't forget the salsa, which is also on pointI dig the spicy but the mild is great too. In summary, very highly recommend this spot! It's a must try. read more
