It was immediately evident the wait staff was overwhelmed with the crowd. We sat awhile before we got our food or drinks. But once the crowd died down it got much better. And the staff wasn't too inviting. They seemed mad or grumpy and I get it, they're busy and tired but come on. Anyhow, to the food...The chips and salsa were warm..decent enough. Tried to order a beer on tap like the menu says but apparently they don't have beer on tap. So ordered a Tecate in a bottle instead and it was so good I ordered another. For my meal I ordered burrito Mexicano. Just a flour tortilla filled with shredded pork, peppers and onions topped with white cheese sauce. I wouldn't say it was bad. I was satisfied. But it wasn't great. I've had worse in the area so that is why I give it three stars.

From sitting down to getting our food was less than five minutes. The food was extremely fair priced. However, I cannot call it authentic. The flour tortillas were clearly purchased at the Walmart supercenter. The El Cabrón burrito I ordered was chopped up chicken breast inside a cold flour tortilla, smothered in queso. The beans were very watery and the rice was very good. Once I mix the beans and rice together, the beans seem to have a little flavor. Did I mention the burrito only had chicken inside nothing else? We also get the mango tacos, which was a mini version of the El Cabron burrito with some mango juice poured over the meat. It was fast. It was an expensive and it was filling. It did not remind me of Mexico. When we ordered the mango tacos, I expected some kind of mango chutney on the chicken, unfortunately, it was like someone opened a can of ocean spray and pour it on the meat. We will return, but it was boring.

You can go whatever direction with the menu your pocket desires really. We added another entre and split it, so we went over what we normally do. But hey, date night :) Overall we loved it, reminded us of Carlos O Kelley's in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. We lived at that place. This place is almost it's twin and we are thrilled.
