My food was tasty, though they did technically mix up my order (I ordered shrimp fajitas and received shrimp and chicken) but I didn't mind and didn't mention it. Super excited that they got up and running after experiencing a fire in the kitchen. Restaurant upgrades look good. Comfortable dining and bar. The prices are decent but the workers are awful. Almost every time I went there I have had an ordering issue. They have 2 different types of liquid cheese one with jalapeños and one without. I would say every other visit I would get the wrong cheese. I'm not into jalapeños cheese and boy was I surprised by my mouth being on fire with my cheese without jalapeños. The last time I was there I had a waitress who couldn't get me a chicken quesdilla with fries. She came back with a taco salad. I had to return my food multiple times until the owner had to come over to get my food order. While waiting an egregious amount of time (there was only 1 other table) we got to watch the owner and our waitress argue in front of us. read more

I would give this place zero stars if I could. I placed an online order today for $38 worth of food. I never got a confirmation email, so I called the restaurant to confirm my order. I was told they had turned off online ordering and the order had been cancelled and my card would not be charged. I checked and the charge was on my credit card, so I called to ask for a refund. I spoke to the Manager (didn't give me his name) who proceeded to tell me there is nothing he can do. He then informed me that he was very busy and did not have time to deal with it. I asked him if this meant I was out the $38 and he responded "NO! Can you not understand me or something?!? I told you to call this other guy" he proceeded to give me a phone number to call in order to get my refund then once again reiterated how busy he was and that he did not have time to handle this. Luckily the guy I called after this was very pleasant and was able to easily refund me my money. I will not be returning to this location again due to the way I was spoken to by the Manager and his complete disregard of my concerns. read more

Best name for a Mexican restaurant ever? I think yes. Some friends and I went here on a Sunday night. The decoration is fantastically cheesy. There were both Mardi Gras AND St. Patrick's Day Budweiser posters all over the place ... in mid May. The tables had tablecloths covered in a mish-mash of every stereotypically Mexican image and phrase imaginable (tequila, "Arriba!," sombreros, you get the idea). It's absurd but in a wonderful way. We were informed as soon as we sat down that they have 1$ margaritas on Sunday. Dollar margaritas? Yes please! And good thing too, because I don't think I'd want to spend more that 1$ on these margaritas. They're easily some of the worst margaritas I've had in a restaurant. But at 1$ each, I'm not complaining! As for the food, well, it's hit or miss. I ordered a combination plate (one of the best things about this kind of Mexican restaurant) with a beef burrito, a chicken enchilada, and a pork tamale. The burrito was easily the best of the three and that's not saying much. My friends ordered fajitas and those were much better. You get an impressive amount of food with these, and everything was really tasty. Si Senor Mex Mex Grill may not have the best Mexican food in the world, or the best drinks, or the best service. I'm going to go on record and say this is the best Mexican you will eat in GC. Chips and salsa can be mild or spicy. Got a preference? Ask your waiter or waitress. Rice is fluffy and melts in your mouth. Everything on the menu is good, piping hot, and comes out in large portions. I'll be honest, there's been a couple of days were the food hasn't been up to par. However, with the owner being there nearly everyday...speak up if your dish isn't what you expect. He will be glad to make it right. Prices are about right for quality Mexican food. Despite the hillarious gringo name, this place actually isn't too bad. We're pretty sure the restaurant is built in a converted Pizza Hut, but inside the corny Mexican decor gave Si Senor Mex Mex Grill a cozy feel. When we first got there, we were pleasantly surprised by the warm homemade chips, and tasty salsa. Given how many nicer Mexican restaurants can't figure out how to provide good chips and salsa, this was a big plus. On the flip side, the margarita I ordered was pretty bad (much too sweet), but for $4.00 I didn't care too much. Beer was also pretty cheap as well, $1 for Bud Light Lime on the day we were there. The tamales I ordered came slathered in some sort of meat sauce; not authentic by any sense of the word, but still pretty tasty. My friend's meals were similarly good. This was the worst serviceI have ever experienced. The server didn't even care. It looked as if it was his first day and had absolutely no training. We had a party of 7 for a birthday celebration and was sitting on the patio. Took a minute to get some drinks and then even longer to get a menu. Chips and salsa would have been nice if we actually could have some salsa. Such small ramekins and never full. We were there for an hour and 15 minutes before we even got food. Then - it was a 25 minute time span from the time the first person to the last person got their food. Si señor is about a once a month stop for us as it is open until 10pm and has decent cheap drink nights. Food isn't bad, much better than the other Mexican place in the town. Go for the shrimp soup, it is always consistent. The spicy shrimp Diablo used to be a favorite, but lately is too hot to eat. Don't go in expecting too much and u won't be disappointed. The food is great. The service is always great. However, this is the last time we'll ever come here. If you advertise a certain type of special (in this case, draft beer) don't get nit picky about whether it's domestic or not. Your special does not specify that, so you come off real disingenuous when you decide that it's not part of the special, and instead charge over twice the price than what's advertised. This is one of the only places in GC I like to go out to eat at. The food is great, and the service is good too. They have several vegetarian options, which I truly appreciate. They usually have a packed house, but manage to seat you quickly and get your food out in a timely manner. My husband and I take friends here all the time and they've all loved it! read more

Probably the best Mexican food that I've had in ages. I've gotten the mole from there and it's amazing, flavorful and spicy and my girlfriend has gotten their chicken quesadilla and we were extremely impressed. Their salsa and chips are pretty good too, there are a ton of tequilas offered at their bar and their prices are very good. The waiter was the best ever! Today was my first time every coming and I wanted to try something new for my birthday. The waiter offered me either a shot or fried ice-cream for my birthday. The bosses gave him such a hard time that this sweet soul offered to pay for the items out of pocket. I told him that I was full and did not want the ice-cream. We have visited this place many times and really have enjoyed the company of some of the servers but the Owner is very unfriendly to us as many times as he has seen us. He is friendly only to those that sit and drink multiple large mugs of beer. My husband's burrito had a few pieces of steak wrapped in a tortilla.
