Absolutely horrible experience at Caribou Cafe. This was easily one of the worst restaurant experiences we've had. We waited an outrageous 1 hour and 20 minutes for our food, only for it to finally arrive COLD. Our server was rude, dismissive, and basically nonexistent. After taking our order, the server never came back to check on us or even seemed to care that we had been sitting there waiting forever. What made it even worse was that it certainly appeared locals were being served before us, including people who seemed to arrive after we did. If you're not a regular, don't be surprised if you feel like you're at the bottom of the priority list. They also allowed visibly intoxicated people to remain in the restaurant, which made the whole atmosphere even more unpleasant and unprofessional. Nearly an hour and a half for cold food, rude service, zero check-ins, and an uncomfortable atmosphere is ridiculous. We paid to eat at a restaurant, not to be ignored all night. Never again. Absolutely unacceptable. Save your money and go somewhere that actually knows how to treat customers. read more

We have been to the Caribou many times when are in Kemmerer and were always pleased with the food and the service. However we went to the Caribou on 05/15/2021 for dinner. What a disappointment! The restaurant is now under new ownership. We both ordered grilled chicken sandwiches. First off the price was $9.00, seriously?! When the food came the chicken breast was about half the size of the bun and had zero seasoning and the french fries were the type you can buy at the grocery store and cook in the oven. Also, they no longer serve breakfast which used to be their best meal. Aside from that the new owner is quite abrupt and the will charge you a 3.8% service fee if you use a credit card. We paid with a debit card and the owner had the audacity to ask if she could charge a service fee on that. Needless to say we will not be going back to the Caribou and I predict they will not survive with such poor food quality and those kinds of prices. read more

Hidden gem in a small town. Ordered the steak and fries. I ordered steak rare it was perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned one of the best tasting steaks in Wyoming. The fries I asked for ketchup and never used it they tasted great and ketchup would ruin it. The mixed veggies that came were amazing as well. Service was top notch met immediately and food served in less than 10 minutes. Don't go anywhere else for food but Caribou Cafe. I travel 22 weeks a year around Wyoming this is a gem of a restaurant. read more
