My co-worker and I stopped by this place looking for a light lunch while on our way to Salt Lake City. We got chips and salsa, a side of queso, an order of 2 street tacos and an order of flautas. Overall the food was average. While the salsa was fresh and flavorful, the queso dip was obviously out of a can, bright orange and tasteless. The street tacos were shredded beef and carnitas; both were served with double-corn tortillas, fresh chopped onion and fresh cilantro, but the meat fillings were bland, and the carnitas were not as crispy as I like. My co-worker had the flautas (rolled and deep-fried tortillas stuffed with meat and cheese) - she said they were ok but a little greasy. I probably would not eat here again, but will say that the menu is large and it could be we just ordered 'wrong'. Our server was very nice, the interior was clean, and I did enjoy the murals painted on the walls too. This place is located in a strip mall just off the highway in Evanston. The food was okay but the service lacked a lot. I'm big on hospitality and if not given that I feel like it ruins the whole experience especially if the food isn't good the service can always make up for it. We came from out of state hoping to have a good experience. Barely any people inside but wasn't given chips and salsa I had to ask and wasn't checked on at all during our meal, felt maybe only selected people get good service. If you're in the Evanston, WY area & happen to be craving Mexican food, but have little time to spare, you might like Paff's. Well...if you're not my husband, that is...he's still complaining about his rinky dinky tostada for $8 and the non-Mexican mozzarella cheese on top. But since I'm running this Yelp account and not him, I say it was pretty great for a semi-fast food restaurant. The fish tacos tasted fresh. I enjoyed the accompanying sauce. Beans and rice taste better than they looked on the menu. Salsa wasn't bad either. Not much of a kick, but still satisfying. My photo is of half my meal since you couldn't stop me from devouring the first taco even if it was on fire. Road trips make me hungry! What can I say! The Yelp photos show a wall menu - that's no longer the case. It's now booth & menu seating, however, I was pleasantly surprised the food came out in a jiffy so we could get back on the road to finish our 1600 miles. I am now following you Derp! Truer words were never said about Evanston Wyoming! Hopefully the owners running these businesses will notice and do better, as it really isn't right to run a business so shamefully! Sadly the poor locals have no choice in Evanston, so they have to put up with all of these unethical practices! As a business owner myself I regularly hold Staff Meetings, so my employees know exactly how to do their job, how to troubleshoot, be efficient, I am able to maximize productivity and morale! We went to Paff's after a soccer game for the sole reason of getting ice cream to go. We were told to go to a cash register around the corner. There were people ahead of us, standing at this register, who wanted food to-go. The employee at the register around this corner said to these other people that he could not put in an order for food at that register and to please follow him to the cash register at the front of the store. So they ALL left. The people and the employee. ... and we stand there, and stand there, and stand there... No one ever came back to the "ice cream register" around the corner??!! The restaurant temperature was about 100 degrees Fahrenheit inside! We were so hot standing there. We finally told our kids we'd have to get ice cream from Walmart... and we walked out. There is no need to ever return to this establishment, as there are 15 other Mexican restaurants in Evanston. Derp! read more

When you find yourself on the I80 toward Cheyenne exit 150. You'll find a place called paff's. They serve Mexican food and American food. Try the carne asada plate the meat is tender and cooked to perfection the rice and beans simply magnificent. I only wish I would have taken a picture of the food before I started eating. But I was too hungry and the only pic is my clean plate. Lol. read more

This place was a pleasant surprise. Came to Paff's last month driving through town. It's definitely the best option in Evanston! Smaller lines than the nearby fast food joints and way better. You can't really go wrong with pretty much anything on the menu. Mexican style hot dogs, burritos, mangoneadas, ice cream, fries. America in a nutshell. Good stuff. read more

Decided to try Paff's, after work one afternoon. I was immediately greeted by a very friendly Lady. She walked me through their Menu and gave me a few pointers on their Specialties. Great little place! Clean and new, bright and fun. Great Mexican food, much better than Jaliscos or Don Juans in my opinion (without the worry of black mold and rats). Their fish tacos are amazing - I'm officially addicted! I can't wait to try more of their menu. This town is starving for good, new, clean restaurants like Paffs. We took a chance when driving through Evanston and so glad we did. We usually stop at a chain fast food near. The food was awesome. Our group had Fish Tacos, Flautas, burrito, carne asada fries and a hamburger and everything was fresh and tasted great. The stakes were also good. They were pretty busy but still very quick. Just passing through and the Arby's dining room was closed so we went next door to Paff's. So glad we did, the Torta Cubana was to DIE for. Steak, ham and spicy pulled pork (not super spicy just a hint). I would eat this once a week if I could, highly recommend this Torta you will not be disappointed. read more
