I've had many meals at this El Jalisco and it's been a regular restaurant of mine for quite awhile. The food is decent and the staff have always been wonderful. One of my favorite menu items is the taco dinner with grilled chicken. It's reasonably priced and a generous amount of food. Meals are best Paired with a tall cold Negra Modelo. Great place to sit with friends for a meal and some cold beers! read more

The Super Chicken Burrito I had was pretty good. Destroyed it in like 5 minutes. Service was good too no complaints. Ambience was your regular restaurant. Overall great place for lunch. read more

This ribeye was 30% fat 70% meat. The whole bottom half was just fat I couldn't eat that. The meat did not half a single drop of salt on it either. Beans and rice were also old and it was very obvious. The beans had that film on top of them that happens when you leave something like that texture sitting to long and the rice was stale. Thankfully the table had hot sauce and a salt shaker so I could finish my meal. read more

Been to this el jalisco 3 separate times and every time was worse than the last. First time, the queso dip was cold and super thick and when i asked the waitress nicely to heat it up bc it might of just been a simple mistake she took up attitude with me and acted like i killed her dog. The second time was the same experience. The third time terrible. The queso was super thin and literally had the consistency of water and was like warm. We asked the waitress for a FEW minutes to decided on what to eat and it takes 35 minutes to finally have some one TAKE our order while the ppl behind us had alr god their food even tho they sat down after us. And it wasn't even our waitress that came out it was some other guy that noticed we were waiting a while. She didn't even say sorry or anything when she finally came out. don't go to this location go somewhere else read more

We were traveling yet again to Tallahassee for competitive cheer. We chose this establishment because of their menu online. They had a wide variety of traditional mexican food choices that I see more in the Pacific North West such as Pollo A La Crema for example. They had some unique options that I'd never seen before like Mexican Lasagna and puffy tacos. We were a very large party of almost 20 with lots of kids. The service for our food and food quality overall was very very good. Everyone in the group enjoyed their meals. We did have an issue when we ordered desert though. We ordered three orders of deep fried ice cream. Normally deep fried ice cream has a really nicely done crusts around the entire ball of ice cream of cornflakes and honey drizzle. My ice cream hardly had any corn flakes on it and didn't taste right. The other two we ordered had none at all on it. When we notified our waiter he (no joke) brought a small styrofoam cup of cornflakes to our table that he expected us to dump on the ice cream. We kind of laughed out of pure disbelief and told him to just remove it off the bill. After further inspection (and tasting them) we discovered that the rogue cornflakes were totally stale and soft. This totally explained the off taste to my ice cream. We were very disappointed with our deserts and would not recommend ordering them. It was really too bad because this is a staple menu item that I've had many other instances at other restaurants and never had anything served so unsatisfactory. read more

I'm in town for a couple of weeks and been driving by this place daily. Finally decided to stop. I had the burrito loco, and this actually feeds two people. I'm stuffed, and still have half a burrito for later. Good chips and salsa - check. Hospitality - check. Quick service, and great music check and check. I'm giving five stars because although it's not fine gourmet dining, it is good quality ingredients, belly busting portions, and priced to enjoy with the family. read more

We walked in and out. Place was empty but for one table. It smelled bad, like not well cleaned or sanitized. The menus were filthy. Food stained and peeling on the borders. Please spend money on new menus when they are this worn or put the menu on line. read more

Horrible customer service from the (Manager) when I first came in we asked for the dip with chillie and gave us the wrong dip. They took the old dip back and just thew meat on top of it. With my main course I asked for shrimp on the side and only peppers and oion they got my food wrong there too. ive been to this place before and the manager has been giving me the same problem very rude and unprofessional I will definitely not be back to this location. read more

This was a recommendation from our son. Well, it did not disappoint. We ordered chicken fajitas and enchiladas trio. The flour tortillas were very good as well as the chicken. The pico de gallo and the refried beans were also very tasty. For dessert, we ordered churros. The service was good too. I highly recommend this place. as soon as I walked in for dinner the hostess was so rude. did not speak besides asking how many and looked me and my friends up and down. mind you I worked in a restaurant and am very polite and understanding. our server was worse. she acted annoyed and agitated when taking our orders. when I asked for more chips and salsa she glared at me and didnt say anything. When we asked what the special was she was even more griped. just the worst experience I've ever had at a restauran. I've never felt so judged or awful in my life when eating at a restaurant. it is just this location though. the location on Monroe st is great and will only be going there after this interaction. read more
