There are a number of Mexican Restaurants in the area so we rolled the dice and came here - Wow what a great choice I can't say it's the best in the area because I'm not from around here but we had one of the best experiences in regards to the food, the service which all came at a reasonable price. First off the beers are two for one and they are ice cold and comes with a chilled glass, my choice when available is always Dos Equis Amber when enjoying Mexican food. We ordered the Quesabirrias Tacos with au jus and white rice with a side of black beans and also the combination fajitas with (shrimp, steak and chicken) rice and refried beans and a host of condiments. Both dishes were delicious and the portions are large, so much food for two not counting the unlimited warm tortilla chips and salsa. Frank our server was very attentive and ensured we never waited on anything and made sure our orders were accurate and delivered everything hot and fresh. As extensive as the menus are I felt we couldn't have ordered any better and would order everything we had again. The restaurant is well lit and very clean and organized and the staff here was fully engaged with all the customers and genuinely appreciated the business there's no doubt they understand it's all about choices - I'd definitely return here when in the area...

My girlfriend and I absolutely loved this place, delicious food and drinks, good prices, and a fun atmosphere. Our birria tacos were phenomenal, the consommé too, and the horchata was maybe the best I've ever had. Not much more to say! Can't wait to go back!

Las Brazas has my favorite quesadilla ever. I have tried many other mexican restaurants but none have come close. The staff is very friendly and always smile. Never have messed up my order. The venue is clean- from first glance it is nothing special but it is the people and the food that make Las Brazas truly amazing.

I sat on the porch because I had my dog. I brought his water so the wait staff would not be inconvenienced. I ordered a drink and cheese dip when someone finally came out. It took forever to get our drinks. Perhaps there was a language barrier. We placed our order and I felt forgotten. No one checked on us or our glasses. The service was horrible but I still left a good tip. When you sit outside, expect to be forgotten. The tropical bowl looked good and my chori-pollo was good. It was a lot of food and we could have easily split it. I'll be back and reevaluate about the service. That's why I took off stars this time.

I found this spot on Yelp and we decided to try it for Father's Day dinner. We did arrive about an hour before they closed so it wasn't that packed. It's really cute inside as I was told by the employees that they did a makeover inside. The service was great and she was very attentive and always making sure we had everything. Food was amazing and and the margarita sampler was even better.

Good salsa with a bit of heat. I ordered chicken fajitas without green peppers and basically got a pound of grilled onions and a few strips of chicken. Everything was just ok. Nothing stood out as great or exciting.

While passing through Tallahassee we visited a handful of different Mexican restaurants, and Las Braza's was unquestionably the best of the bunch! Tip: I've never seen Guacamole made right at the table in front of you until they did it for us here - it was outstanding :-) The ambiance is relaxing, the service is on point, and the quality of their completely authentic Mexican  food is excellent - No question we'll be back the next time we're in the area.

    Empanada (tasty)

My review is subjective because it is all about taste and flavor. That being said I was very disappointed in the lack of seasoning and flavor with almost everything we ordered. We got the quesobirrias tacos, the carne asada and the empanada appetizer. Well, the tacos didn't have very much queso at all which was very disappointing and the whole point of my visit. The consommé which I thought would be rich and full of flavor was dull and flat. The beef inside the taco was tender but again lacked flavor. We got 3 tacos for $15 which is a bit high especially considering the quality. The carne asada came with a tiny bowl of watery black beans which my husband poured over his bland white rice. The only flavor came from the peppers cooked with the rice and the texture was a bit off. The steak was flank steak thin and just about the size of my husband's palm. And seasoning was also bland. The empanada (beef) had cheese inside and was the tastiest thing I ate. The cheese was supposed to be queso but wasn't the gooey queso I am used to We didn't get any alcohol and our bill was like $75. The server was nice and kept our drinks filled even if he brought our appetizer and food out within 3 minutes of each other but at least it was all warm. Bottom line is we think this place is mediocre, not technically bad but a far shot from good and there are so many better options, not even including multiple Mexican food trucks, one of which I almost stopped at to ease my disappointment.

    Quesa birria AKA quesa-major disappointment

Let me just start with $4 for a Mexican Coke? That's criminal. I've lived here for about 2 years and never tried this place. I'm not mad at myself. It's really difficult to make anything Birria related not taste amazing. This quesa birria nonsense wasn't even mediocre. Very bland. The brazas dip, you can just taste how not fresh the seafood in it is. It's just not good or worth it. There's not much meat. Honestly took two bites and called it quits. Once I tasted the shrimp I no longer had any desire to continue eating it. The quesa birrias, I ate 2 of 4. I was starving, so I ate as much as I could stomach. The dip is what kinda ruined it for me. It's pretty gross. As I type this I can just taste bad seafood in my mouth. Anyways, other items could be good, but what I've ordered is not.

I stopped in today for my Mexican food fix. The chorizo queso was good with the chips. The salsa was great, as always. I ordered the three tacos - one of each, that came with rice and beans. The ground beef taco was good. The beef was excellent and the chicken very good. My eyes are always bigger than my belly so there will be leftovers. I wasn't going to eat out for a while. The hospital up 254% in last 2 weeks, positive rate 9 to 16%. Only 41% have had shot in leon county. Not a good crowd to be in. However, I ate outside and watched them clean the tables. I will wash thoroughly when I leave. I will be coming back!

Had noticed this place several times, but hadn't really given it a second thought. However, we recently tried it out on one of our "Taco Tuesday" outings. We were not disappointed. Though the place was packed, we received great table service; our waitress was very pleasant. The menu is expansive and I simply had a hard time deciding what to order! My daughter ordered chicken enchiladas, I ordered the shrimp loco (grilled shrimp smothered in mushrooms, onions, peppers, spinach, sour cream, and chipotle cheese sauce - served with rice and beans), and my husband ordered shrimp, chicken, and steak fajitas. The portions are more than enough; we all had leftovers! We will plan to return; I am excited about trying out some other menu items!

Food: Delicious! Everything was yummy, hot fresh and went very well together. The portions are pretty big easily split between two if you're a light eater. Pricing: Very affordable! We came during their lunch specials which offered great meal and drink deals! Service: Ximena was our server she was welcoming from the get go seated us right on over to a booth. She was very attentive even as the lunch rush came in. I'm fluent in Spanish and my boyfriend is somewhat, so she easily switched from Spanish to English which was much appreciated. Our order: They provide free chips and salsa. For drinks we got their coffee, a coke which happened to be the mexican liter bottle (a peraonal favorite), my boyfriend got Huevos Mexicana [scrambled eggs with peppers, refried beans, rice and choice of corn or flour torrillas. I got the Chilaquiles [grilled steak, 2 feied eggs, corn tortilla pieces diced and spaked in seasoning with refried beans]. Covid precautions: no contact menu option you can scan at the table for a digital menu, servers and hosts wear masks, outdoor seating options.

The service is poor and the grill was shut down by the health department because of a cockroach infestation.

Ordering is done through a tablet, which means simple customizations aren't an option. My friend wanted a cheese quesadilla, but the system forced us to order it with meat at the same price point, which was disappointing. The food took at least 30 minutes to come out, and when it did, my chicken tacos were overly salty and drenched in liquid/grease, making the flour tortilla soggy. My taco meal came with chips and salsa but the salsa appeared to be premade from a jar like Tostitos Chunky Salsa. While I'm glad I gave it a try and respect the effort, the inability to modify orders and the extended wait time make it hard to justify a return visit, especially if you're on lunchtime and have a time constraint.
