This is very dog friendly and you can pull your car right up to the beach. You do have to keep your dogs on a leash as there are people circling to make sure that you do. I just bring a really long leash for them to be able to run around. My dogs like to run into the water so i have a long leash. Only downside is they don't have really plush sand. So if you go to the beach for the fluffy sand, this is not the place to go. But if you want no nonsense hassle or you don't have to carry all of your stuff miles to the beach just to find a good spot then you would like this beach. Note: there is free parking but we just ended up paying the $15 a day parking because we can pull right up on the beach. They do have an annual option to pay $30 for the whole year which I do think it's worth it if you go more than a couple times a year.

I guess the appeal is way more for adults who have children and like to drink in front of them. The water course gets full and you have to sign up hour (s) in advance and the bumper boat area is small. In my opinion, they need quite a few things to feel like your $25 was worth something. Umbrellas for every pair of chairs would be a great start, or tables for the lounge chairs, and few extra attendants to run food and drinks. Overall, this is an overpriced pool that I would not back to without upgrades.

This beach was straight up trash, not the person workings fault was a sweetheart, but $10 dollars for some murky water, I suggest going to Panama City beach which is very far away but still better than this dirty behind beach. Point blank Periodt!!!! read more

People flee across the parking lot to make it to work or drop their kids off at the only nearby establishment 'still in business'. A daycare which is proximal to the park. A pleasantly wooden pier lies along the trails which leads out to the brackish waters. A flow of fish repeatedly hop from wave to wave. I reckon there's alligator gar in this briny Adam's ale besides catfish, seatrout, and blue crab. The graffiti-tized or should I say vandalized tables of the pier. Gives to the expression "express yourself". Artistically drawn and tagged of relationships, shout-outs, and lifestyles. Don't forget your sharpie or blade... if you dare. The kind of run-of-mill hang out or fishing spot without encountering a whole lot of people.

I'm not sure what it's called, but I always see people playing!), a playground, a fishing pier, a volleyball court and a baseball field and plenty of trash cans with dog pooper-scooper stations so you have no excuse to not pick up after your pet! They do allow dogs off the leash here but please be a responsible pet owner and clean up after your pet! It's usually not real busy mostly because not too many people know it's here except for the people in the neighborhood. Wait. I may have just messed that up, huh? lol It's within walking distance of my work so I like to come here at lunch and walk around the trail. It's very well maintained and partly cement and partly small rock. It can get muddy after a rain of course, but that's everywhere. And they did build a wood bridge over a spot that was always flooding, which is nice. If you're in the area and want a nice, well-maintained park to have a picnic, or just walk around and take in the sights (the trail runs along part of Taylor Lake which is part of Galveston Bay), this a great place for that!
