Visited this place twice and both times left satisfied. We came here last summer and my husband raved about his Burrito Texano and said it was the best seasoned steak he's had outside a steakhouse. I had the seafood enchiladas with shrimp, scallops and crabmeat and they were also great. We loved it so much we knew the next time we visited the area we would return. Well we did last night and ordered the exact same thing and it was just as good. We also got a pitcher of margaritas as it was a better deal than 2 separate margaritas and it was way too much margarita for 2. The service was great, quick and friendly. There's music playing but its not too loud I cant talk to my dining companions. There are also TVs up playing various sports, world cup last night. We will definitely be back and maybe I'll eventually try something different. read more

Waited to be seated 10 min to be seated and we were never acknowledged! Multiple employees walked past us without saying a word.

This is my third visit to El Jarrito and I'm honestly shocked at the rating this place has as well others unpleasant experiences. From my first visit everyone was very warm and welcoming. I had a brisket potato and it was so good, the last two times my husband and I have shared fajitas tejanas "single" and it is more than enough to feed us both. (And we can eat) they also have a buy one get one free margarita all day everyday for house margaritas. The food is always delicious, pictured below is are fajita order, it dos not come with cactus, we add it on. I would like to add on that coming from a Mexican household finding a place to visit that is worth paying for is hard to come by and this place has definitely been added to our list of go tos. The food was excellent. We had a party of8 and everything looked amazing and I heard nothing but compliments. The waiter was known by several people at our table. The Manager Sprayed My Girlfriend With a Water Hose! Yes, you read this headline correctly... Let me also start this by saying that for the past two years, this was our favorite Mexican Grill, and we never had a single issue until now. Last night, our group of 4 visited El Jarrito Mexican Grill around 9:25 pm to get some dinner before the restaurant closed. We arrived and were delighted when the waiter told us the kitchen would be open until 10:30 pm. We ordered some drinks and they were awesome. Next, we ordered food. We got a fajitas' bravas (30$ plate of chicken, steak, and shrimp fajitas), fish tacos, a chicken fajita plate, and one chicken fajita plate with added shrimp. The waiter asked us if we wanted to make the fajitas spicy, and my friends said yes, they would like spicy fajitas. We were confused when our food came out, as they brought us a giant plate of green chilies that we did not order. The waiter did not tell us that he would be bringing us 7$ worth of green chilies on the side; he only asked us if we wanted spicy fajitas. We ate our food and asked to get the ticket. We were stunned because on the ticket, they upgraded the chicken fajitas with shrimp to the fajita bravas, which is a dish that has steak and is more expensive, also added a Coke, which no one ordered for an extra 4$, and also the 7$ of green chilies we didn't order. The whole ticket came out to around 156$ We asked to talk to the manager about the item discrepancies and were told no manager was available and that they were gone for the night. We also asked to redeem our military discount, which they said they would not honor because the manager was gone for the night. Frustrated, we claimed that this was not acceptable to add items we didn't order to our ticket and asked to have them removed. They removed the Coke but refused to remove or rectify the upgraded fajita plate or the green chilies we didn't order. We asked another worker in the area, and she informed us that our waiter was the manager, and he was trying to close the restaurant for the night. Once this deception was realized, we informed the waiter that we would not be leaving a tip because this is bad business, upcharging and lying to customers, and making excuses to honor discounts. We paid the 156$ ticket and stepped outside to gather our things and chat before we headed out for the night. The Manager then came outside, furiously started throwing our plates and glasses as he was bussing the table. We were casually talking on the side when he came over, grabbed a water hose, and started spraying it in our general direction. We, of course, started to move out of the area. Unfortunately, my girlfriend was not so lucky and got her feet and shorts soaked by the manager, who was furiously spraying water so he could bully us into leaving faster. My girlfriend asked, "Why are you being so rude? Look what you did to my shorts?!" He simply replied, "Okay, have a great night, thanks for coming." This behavior is unacceptable. It's one thing to scam customers with prices and lie to customers about discounts, but it's completely another to physically assault customers with a water hose. We will not be returning to this location, and we are taking steps to have this matter investigated and handled accordingly. read more

This place sucks. I got my food after about 15 minutes and they only competed 1/4 of my order. I went back and they took 3 HOURS to freaking complete my order. Food was also horrible. NEVER GOING BACK. Wasted my time. read more

Do not get food to go from El Jarritos! It was the worst to go order we've EVER gotten from anywhere! After sorting thru that mess & trying to eat it, we just threw it away! To begin with, when I called to place an order to pickup at the window, they told me I couldn't, I would have to come inside to place my order & sit & wait, because they didn't have anyone to take to go orders, which made no sense! I should've hung up right then, but we spent time looking thru their extensively long & multiple menus & had decided what we wanted! Anyway, I drove over, went inside to order & asked if we could get a mix of beef & chicken on the nachos & if we could each get our own chips & salsa, they said yes & we got NEITHER! We got a bunch of black hard fatty & extremely chewy beef! All the food was loaded with tons of sour cream & NO cheese! The bell peppers & onions were cooked to a slimy greasy mess! The nachos, when ordered eating in, comes on a large platter! They gave us less than half that amount because they stuffed it all together in one small foil bowl! The chips were stale, drenched with sour cream, & falling apart! They should've placed everything separately & in larger containers, allowing us to put it together at home. We ordered enchiladas & they were cold & hard, the beef on those was also black, hard, & fatty! They were suppose to put cheese sauce & red sauce on them & there was none! EVERYTHING had tons of sour cream though! It was all a gross mess, too nasty to eat, not even the dogs would eat it! We thru it away! I wish we would've taken pictures so I could show what it looked like! The chips & salsa were the only eatable part & even those were too thick, hard, & stale! They gave us a tiny bag of chips & a ridiculously tiny container of salsa! Stingy! If they took as much care in getting to go orders right & packing them correctly, as they did on making sure they only gave the smallest amounts of chips & salsa, they'd be doing a fantastic job! We wasted $40 on that cheap, overcooked, & asinine packed food that they cut in half in order to stuff inside a small container! If they're going to do that, they should cut the price by half! Never ever order food to go from this place, particularly nachos! We placed one other to go order with them in the past & they screwed that up too! Never again! We've eaten inside 2 or 3 times & the food was not bad, except their chips are too thick, hard, & kinda stale! This last incident was so ridiculous, frustrating, & a complete waste of money, we're done with El Jarritos! Posados has the best food & the best chips of all the Mexican restaurants in north Bossier that I've ever eaten! But even there, the food's always best when ordering & eating at the restaurant! read more

My niece took me to El Jarrito for dinner, the ambiance was admirable, food delicious and the margaritas were exceptional. Next time I'm in town I will definitely return. read more

Terrible....3/22/2021......food was gross..cold though plate edges hot...like the food was plated on hot plate...yet not cooked....tamale wrapped in corn shuck..yet covered in cheese sauce not revealing shuck until I tried to cut into it...short staffed..manager cooking...mixing drinks and bussing tables.....will not go back...also a service charge is added to each ticket....automatically...totally not eatable..... retried beans cold...no seasoning....as was rice...will not return.....giant margaritas speciality.....must be you have to be drunk to eat the food...... read more
