It was plain, with no flavor, no spices, no veggies--definitely not the seasoned Mexican rice I'm used to. They also brought out the chips and salsa. The salsa wasn't thick, but it had more of a tomato paste taste instead of that fresh tomato flavor I was expecting. I usually look forward to fresh, zesty salsa at Mexican spots, so that was another letdown. The service, though, was great--my waitress was nice and friendly, which made the experience even better. The owner, I am assuming, was incredibly nice and was very welcoming. She told us to stay as long as we wanted when we were done and was in no rush to get rid of us.
