The staff is always so fast and friendly! My favorite drink is De La Olla Latte iced!

This place is great! The drinks are always amazing my favorite is the tres leches latte, the usually have some sort of pastry that you can get and today I got the banana nut muffin and it was delicious. Most of the baristas are really nice and will chat with you while making your drink. The biggest tip I can give is to pay in cash so it's a flat rate and you always know how much it will cost. My only issue is they put bare straws in your drink for you with the same hands that touch money and credit cards. read more

Don't know why I've never left a review but been going here for two years now maybe a little bit longer. I'm starting off with the coffee. It's always so delicious which is rare for a coffee shop you go to almost every day and secondly the employees are so amazing and wonderful and beautiful and sweet and smart. I love going to this little hut. Highly recommended and the prices are so fair!!!! You can almost miss this place but it's in the corner of a hotel parking lot! It's cute! Customer service is 10/10. Both girls were so sweet and helpful. Love this quick little drive thru hut in vista! They have many drinks with Latin flavors that are really good my personal favorite is the mazapán latte that i usually get iced and it has a sweet peanut flavor that is so good! Every time i go there's about 1-2 cars ahead in line but it goes by quickly. read more

Anytime my family is visiting the in-laws in San Marcos, we always make our way to El Kafecito. The San Marcos location closes early, so we stumbled onto the location in Vista. We have had a great experience during all our visits. Our most recent visit was on Christmas Eve (12/24/25). It was rainy and gloomy. Both baristas were pleasant and cheery especially since it was Christmas Eve. We ordered 3 coffees and 1 smoothie. The baristas did not seem irritated or bothered by this rather continued to converse with us. We ordered the Mazapan, Tres Leches, and Horchata. We got the strawberry and banana smoothie for our daughter. All four drinks came out to $25 or so. Definitely a bargain and steal compared to Bay Area prices. This was even considering we got the 20oz drinks. El Kafecito is a recommended stop anytime you are in that area. read more

It was good, until... I ordered their Cafe De Olla iced latte. I was enjoying it for about 10 minutes. All of a sudden, I took a sip and felt something come through the straw and it was a Pincher Bug (insect) after I spat it out. It was an unfortunate moment cuz the drink was really good. Still some of the best coffee I have ever had. Firstly, the line always moves so quickly. Secondly, the baristas are always very efficient and super friendly. Their iced matcha latte sweetened with agave is absolutely delicious and is obviously great quality, ceremonial grade. Their banana bread cream top with the matcha is also amazing! It has a delicious, light cinnamon flavor to it that pairs well with the banana and matcha. And surprisingly, the banana isn't too overpowering. Their dulce de leche iced latte with oat milk is also great -- but by fav my favorite item to get is the iced mazapan latte with oat milk. I can't recommend this place enough!!!! Great drive-thru coffee place with quick and friendly service. Stopped by during lunch for my midday pick-me-up. It also happens to be located the next street over from the courthouse if you happen to be in the area. The coffee hut is in the parking lot of a plaza. Ordered the iced mazapan latte with almond milk, light ice and an additional request to make it less sweet. I hate to leave this review, but I feel the owner should look into this. Coffee is usually good depending on who's making it. Though, there is one barista in particular who isn't very friendly. She often sits in a Corolla, and when she finally comes to take orders, she already seems annoyed, rolling her eyes. She's also the only employee who upcharges me a full dollar instead of the usual 50 cents, which doesn't feel fair, especially since the other girls are always helpful, kind, and I do tip them for their great service. I'm not sure if she's adding a tip without me knowing, but if that's the case, I'll have to start going to another coffee shop with similar pricing and more consistent service. There are plenty in North County. I've heard this is a family-owned business, but I can't support questionable charges or unfriendly service. read more

My daughter and I ordered a latte and an iced coffee. Both drinks were delicious. I also ordered some espresso beans. Usually when beans are fresh they're shiny unfortunately these espresso beans were very bland, but we're gonna give it a try. I've given this business the benefit of the doubt because it's a small business in Vista but their coffees and service is crap. Why would I want to pay so much for a cold brew that you can buy at staterbros to be more specific the STOK brand. I watched the barista take it out of the mini fridge and pour it into the cup and just add ice. Not only that, their coffees are the most lukewarm watered down iced coffees. I was reading some of the reviews and I'm pretty sure I got the same rude girl other people have experienced this morning. She had a bad attitude, rolled her eyes when I asked questions, no smile or good morning. I don't expect people to be full of energy and happiness in the morning, I GET IT, but man, she made me feel unwanted. I've been here a few other times now and the baristas have been nothing but sweet and helpful! I was so close to just driving away today but I had already waited and one thing I will never deny about El Kafecito in Vista is that they have legitimately GOOD coffee. I am just so turned off by this interaction, one bad employee really can ruin it for a small business. 2 stars off what could have been a 5 star review. So girl, if you were working at 7:45 in the morning on Thursday April 23, you need to work on your customer service. I'll start with what I enjoyed: The coffee. It was absolutely delicious with the perfect amount of sweetness. That said, my biggest and only complaint is the service. When I drove up, I was met with a huge yawn and not even a "good morning" after I greeted the barista. It looked as though she didn't want to be there at all. I placed my order, but something felt off as there was no confirmation, no "okay" or "got it"... nothing. It made me second guess whether the drink I ordered was even on this menu, given there's another Kafecito location in San Marcos where I've ordered in the past. I asked just to confirm, and instead of a polite response, the barista replied with attitude, "Isn't that what you ordered?", I explained I didn't see it on the menu (totally my oversight) and she responded mockingly, "No, well it's there." I was honestly so taken aback by the unnecessary rudeness. I get that everyone has bad days, but there's no reason to be snarky when someone asks a simple question or needs clarification. The vibe made me feel like I couldn't even have a simple conversation without being met with attitude. To the management team: Please train your baristas on how to respectfully and professionally interact with customers. One rude experience can completely change how someone views a business, even when the coffee is great. read more

I found this place needing a little pick me up while I was on lunch break at the courthouse nearby for juty duty. It's a drive thru 2 person capacity hut so I almost missed it in the parking lot, but I was able to find it with only one person who walked up ahead of me. I think you can do both but I opted to stay in my car since it was hot haha I pulled up and the 2 girls working were very sweet and friendly. I asked what the De la Olla latte was and they told me it's coffee with some warm spices so I ended up getting an iced 4 oz of that. So yummy! The spices were nice and the coffee was smooth. The perfect hut for a quick coffee to go. My friends and I were staying at an Airbnb nearby and I was in charge of the coffee run. All the amazing Yelp reviews pointed me here. On a Sunday midmorning, I was surprised there was no line. I wanted to walk up to see the menu and while it felt weird to walk up to a drive thru line, the staff had no issues with it and allowed us to still order. They were super patient as we took our time to peruse the menu, send it to our friends, and wait for everyone's order. I ordered the dulce de leche latte iced. Pretty good sweet drink! Love love love this little drive through coffee hut! We came here because we wanted to share a sweet coffee drink and possibly dessert (I'm pregnant :). After reading reviews we ordered the Tres Leche drink and the workers there said they could make it half as sweet, which came out perfect! We also ordered the guava cream cheese empanadas. Yum! What a wonderful find! We were staying for a quick weekend getaway in Vista (travelling to Legoland) and after a quick Yelp search I found EKH, which was on the way to the freeway. We stopped by before Legoland and both fell in love with the coffee (so much so, we had to stop by before leaving). We tried the Horchata Latte, Tres Leches Latte, Vanilla Latte, and Caramel Latte (All iced) and all were delicious! If I had to pick a favorite I would say the Tres Leches followed by the Caramel (can you tell I like sweet?). We also tried the (vegan) cookies the first day, and they were really nice as well (I preferred the Snickerdoodle to the chocolate chip). Prices were very very reasonable and the staff was friendly. It's a drive up location which is super convenient. Great place, I would highly recommend, and I would for sure stop by again if I was in the area. read more

This is a small hut drive thru coffee place with a wide selection of Mexican flavored coffees. The young woman attending was friendly and helpful. I asked her what she recommended between all the fun flavors from cafe de la olla to a marzipan flavored coffee. She said that the marzipan was her favorite.
