Best coffee on campus!!! I love getting my morning coffee here, it hits every time. They offer a variety of food, snacks, and drink options. The people who work there are the friendliest people I've met on campus, too, always have a smile on their face, and make small talk with you. I will, however, have to say that it is on the price side, but I would rather spend my money here on a cup of coffee than at Starbucks. Wait: Varies, but usually under 5 min. Food: They have a variety of cafe foods (sandwiches, scones, etc) all of which are always satisfying. Their drinks also never disappoint. This is probably the best coffee on campus, if not San Marcos. The staff are always very friendly and accommodating. When they see a long line they take initiative and take orders of those not at the front for efficiency. They also care to remember their regular's orders. Only come here for one drink really because they have the BEST Chai tea Latte. It's SOO creamy and tasty. Good iced or hot, but I prefer hot. Price for some reason varies between hot and iced. For a small hit it should be $3.50? And adding soy is 50cents. They also have sandwiches of which I heard is super good and apparently sells out quick. Went to try one today around 12 and they were already out. They also offer some pastries which is decently priced for the size. About $3.25 I believe? But, sometimes they're pastries are a day old and end up dry... just an fyi. Overall: Their Chai Tea is worth trying, especially the hot one during winter time. Yes campus coffee cart. What can I say about the wonderful creations that you make for these wild animals stressin about exams and life and drama for ya Kendama. I especially rate this spot 4 starz! At an ease. Forsure. The drinks are great, they have a selection of snacks and more. Sandwiches to fruits to candy and granola bars and etc. the employees seem so personable, and you can tell they actually try to make a relationship with you as a customer and person not just "oh you're here to help me run my business" it's great. Really is. My go to is the chai tea latte iced of course. & I just started to get into the coconut mocha latte too! Super gewd dude. On da real frills. I think the reason why I like this place is cause out of all stores on the csusm campus this isn't the most generic "basic" hah place on campus. The cafeteria food is literally cafeteria and the Starbucks fails to make good consistent drinks and they charger water....hm anyways get at this place when you stressed and need a pick me up. Every Tuesday and Thursday they had me buying a Mexican mocha!! It was simply delicious!! Definitely better than your average mocha!! The staff was great!! Very friendly and personable. These people understand what it takes to provide a caffeine fix before, during, and after class. My order has so far been correct every time and speedy (a must for those "last minute" students) I can't say the prices are the best at 2.50 for a regular coffee and $4ish for something fancier(hence 4 stars). However, they provide more than just coffee & tea. You can fill all your junk food/snack needs here. My advice, skip the over crowded long wait Starbucks on campus and visit the the cart. It's a cute coffee cart. Located near academic hall and one of the science halls. They are all friendly and speedy but if you don't get there fast enough they run out quick. My only negative is that they are near the circle on the ground that if you step on you'll graduate in 6 years instead of the expected 4 years. Love love love this cart! When I first started attending CSUSM, almost every person I asked said this place had the best coffee in the area, and they were right! They offer so much more than coffee. They've got various pastries, yogurt, energy bars, bottled juices, even chocolate bars (which they keep refrigerated). I now get my coffee here every morning before class. CSUSM Campus Coffee Cart is seriously better than Starbucks. My fave drink is an iced Mexican mocha with almond milk. It packs quite the punch without being overly sweet. Family owned business, the workers are so friendly and warm. I love their drinks and buy a hot/iced chai everytime I am on campus for classes. They have the BEST CHAI EVER! I also like to get their coffee on occasion (not a huge coffee drinker). I will never go to Starbucks again, this place is amazing & conveniently located across Academic Hall. I love love love this coffee place! I feel it's the best one on campus. They just know how to make a drink right every single time! Consistency is key with me and they always deliver! I have several favorites but my go to favorite is the Mexican Mocha with soy; it is absolutely delicious! I love the staff because they are always friendly and even remember what your favorite drink is, except I tend to switch it up on them occasionally!
