I did a bit more digging and soon discovered Howard and Marge. Color me happy! A clothing boutique for women of all ages with hip, sexy but not trashy, fun, colorful and unique apparel, not to mention the most fun trucker caps (I've got three so far) and other fun accessories for yourself or for friends. I literally stocked my closet with jeans, tops and sweaters from Howard and Marge and found a couple super cool, retro style shirts for my man. Since I'm not a mall shopper and I prefer to shop and support my local businesses I will probably be wearing Howard and Marge apparel exclusively now.

Bring your dog to work - do NOT YELL at me (the customer) for opening the door in fear that your dog will escape. You screamed at me and made no apologies for it, even though my mother was clearly holding YOUR DOG back from getting outside. Here is an idea, put a long lead on your dog. 2. How about talking to your customers and not just your friends. A quick hello and asking what we were looking for would have been nice. Sorry we did not go to school with you or that we do not have kids that go to school with yours, but we are very faithful Burien shoppers who deserve some attention. 3. Learn to use an inside voice. The volume at which the owner spoke was completely distracting. 4. Put price tags on things. There were some super cute knee high socks that I kept gravitating to, but contained no price tag nor was there any signage about the product. People do not like having to ask for the price of things. Be kind and label them. We have no intention of returning. Feeling sad and frustrated. A side note: I am not giving the one star rating because of this experience. I have been in this store several times before this and every time the owner and/or person working behind the counter seems completely consumed with something/someone else.

Shopping in Burien, Washington…read more.. We were headed for this Ross yesterday, but saw IKEA first and bought a bath mat there. Shucks! The bath mats at Ross have a lower price! Oh, well... We looked at pet supplies, shoes, hair accessories, phone supplies, stationary, personal care items, kitchen gadgets, costume jewelry, and t-shirts. We ended up just getting a set of Stitch socks! There was a Security Guard at the door who greeted everyone as they entered and checked receipts as customers left. The cashier was friendly and efficient. We talked about Trader Joe's around the corner and how they still have the mini cooler bags... LOL! Thanks for the Tuesday Club's 10 percent discount!

He showed me the list of the signatures of them pretty cool all by word-of-mouth. if you have a donation to give of any kind monetarily or clothing wise or anything drop on in. Just saw him take a typewriter from somebody. Goodwill's busy pain there CEO 20 million I'm sure. Put your money local for it actually helps somebody that you know and makes a difference in their life that day. I personally bought $37 worth of stuff which was probably like 7 items and some of those were brand new with tags on them and brand name, I got a purse. I can't say enough of what an experience it was to spend an hour wandering around his lovely store. The world need places like this to honor the past & the present! He said it's been there one way or another for 30 years. thank God they'll be here for another 30!. The owner "J" refused to return it, I demanded an exchange. Then she called the cops. I waited for officers, when they arrived they tried to reason with the owner of the shop, then came out and this is what the officer said. " I'm sorry sir, she is very unreasonable. Sorry you had to go through this, especially with your crying daughter. This is not how you do business".

First off, the store is packed, and it is so full it is hard to really look at things. Secondly, the prices are ridiculous. There were used one piece pajamas for 9.99. I can buy them new, on sale for that price. Baby equipment was also overpriced. There was a small selection of maternity clothes but they were so expensive we were turned off looking any further. The store smelled like a goodwill (musty). I will skip this place and go to garage sales or head down to Heaven Sent in Federal Way instead.
