I told so many people that I wished that Heather, our Executive Planner, planned more things in my life. Monthly calls with her for the two years leading up to the wedding were the highlight of the month. She could not have been more responsive or done a better job of keeping us on track. It was particularly reassuring to know that we were in good hands given that we were planning this wedding from afar. It was so helpful to have her team recommend pre-vetted vendors so all we needed to do was review their websites and have a quick chat (and of course we loved all their recommendations). Michelle was the one with the artistic vision who did all the gorgeous design work. Let me tell you, this wasn't just a few "vision board" photos. This was a 60+ page design document complete with suggestions for invitations to floral to drinks that matched! Then she and the team brought it to life. The wedding itself was an absolutely dream, above and beyond what we'd hoped, but that also wasn't a surprise because we'd known all along that we were in the best hands. Everyone commented on how relaxed I was on the day of the wedding, but that was because I trusted Heather and the team with 100% confidence and they did not disappoint. My mother-in-law now wants to be Heather's assistant! Boy are we going to miss working with this team.

While we waited, we were made to feel like a bother as many employees stood around the back, looking at us, rolling their eyes and sighing as if we walked in right before close. They had others who asked to sit outside and were told they weren't doing patio seating anymore. By the time we were seated, almost 20 minutes had gone by. I politely apologized to the girl who seated us about how large our party was, and mentioned how upset all the employees seemed by our large party. She didn't know what to say other than, "We had a water spill on the other side." Anyway, she walked to the back, told her co-workers, and I could see them looking at our table once again with irritation. Caleb, our waiter, was very nice, but it wasn't enough to offset the rudeness of the other employees. We all ordered an ice cream and 3 baskets of fries. By the time I got home, I was extremely sick. I was the only one who got sick, and I was the only one who addressed the rude behavior. Coincidence? Maybe. Next time, we will take our business where it's wanted.

We were thrown quite a curve ball the day of my wedding in that due to a completely unforeseeable situation, our venue became unavailable. I work as a project manager and can admit I am a very hands-on and organized person. I originally did not plan to hire any additional planning or coordinating services but finally decided an extra pair of hands would be helpful. Even if everything had gone according to plan, Roberta & Shelby were SO much more than just the extra pair of hands I thought I needed. There was no way any of us could have predicted the last minute venue change, but Roberta & Shelby handled it flawlessly. Without them, no amount of my organization or planning could have pulled off our wedding the way they did. Roberta was incredibly professional. She notified me early on of the changes, but only after she had time to begin working out a new action plan. I appreciated being kept in the loop, but also appreciated that she didn't call me the second the news broke...informing me of problems without potential solutions to offer would have been extra stress I didn't need in that moment. Roberta & Shelby were also absolutely in sync with Park City Resort and all of my other vendors. The communication and coordination was excellent. Because they had both taken the time to get to know me and understand my vision in the weeks leading up to the wedding, they did an amazing job of recreating our decor in a new venue space. Everything was exactly how I would have liked to see it, even though I wasn't available to provide any input. The planning leading up to our wedding was also perfectly executed. Roberta & Shelby asked the right questions, ran with my ideas, and prompted me to think about different approaches when appropriate. Roberta & Shelby are both extremely capable and professional, but what makes them stand a part from other professionals in your field is how genuine they are. They genuinely wanted to make this wedding my dream wedding, and they went above and beyond at every turn. Roberta even offered to hold our guest's baby during dinner so the couple could enjoy their meal. Although this wasn't something I saw, at least 20 of my guests did notice and made a point to tell me how amazing the Hoopes team was! That's exactly the kind of detail only a person genuinely committed to delivering an above and beyond experience would even think to do. My husband (!) and I are blown away by the HOOPES team.

We hired Party Game Express for my son's 6th birthday party. I was wrong on both counts - TONS of current kid games, and they had them separated out so the little kids didn't even know big kid games existed. Much appreciated! Trailer arrived exactly on time and called when they were around the corner so I could have the kids looking out for them. Again - super fun to have 20 kids cheering in the front yard as the truck pulled up. Attendant was young, but super friendly and as professional as the job warrants. The setup was relatively quick, though getting 16 kids set up on 4 consoles is certainly not immediate. The kids are in groups of 4 and must agree together on one game. That got a little sticky at times, but the attendant was politely firm in telling them they had to agree, and leaving it to them to decide. We had a few extra kids and were planning on switching them out, but instead the attendant opened one of the outside screens for them to play. It was really cold outside, but really nice to not have to figure out what to do with the 3 extras. The equipment was all in fair to good shape, and definitely had the "cool" factor. The trailer had been leaking before it arrived, so there was a small drip coming from the ceiling near the door. It didn't bother us at all (other than it ruined the Pucker Powder), but made me a little nervous for the company and their equipment! All in all - great party. Very low maintenance for the party mom (or dad) and very cool for the kids.
