Well Yelp is not always accurate. I had this guy come to the door and looked at my two year old frigidaire and concluded that my compressor was failing with an estimate of 800-1000 - the price of a new refrigerator. My ice machine auger was not connecting to the motor. He said he fixed it by removing the ice. Oh brother. Do not under any circumstances waste your money on this guy. It really makes Santa Fe look ugly. read more

The worst service imaginable!!! Jason came out in August 2021 to diagnose why our 10 year-old Jennair oven and dishwasher were no longer working. We made it clear that we would not be back in Santa Fe until mid-November which we thought was more than enough time to make sure he had the parts ready to go. Jason arrived in November to install the parts but when he finally opened the box (which had been sitting in the warehouse for months!), he discovered that the new part was broken. He had also neglected to tell me not to use the "other oven" so when I tried to use it, I accidentally burned out the control pad, which now needed to be replaced! Jason came 2 other times but both appliances were not working when he left. He even removed the doors to both ovens and left them off, all the time assuring me that he would be coming back in the next few days to fix our problems. This was in "mid-December 2021". Despite making numerous phone calls and leaving messages, we have not heard from or seen him since then and it is now the end of February 2022!!!! read more

My Vinotemp wine cooler in the garage stopped cooling. He was one of the two Santa Fe techs referred by Vinotemp. He came out and diagnosed the problem as a failed compressor and gave me a quote of $1200 to replace. And, he assured me a compressor was available. I said go ahead, but he was never able to secure a replacement and then stopped answering or returning my call (probably a dozen). I finally gave up after at least a month and contacted an appliance repair tech from Albuquerque. I told him I needed and new compressor and he obtained one. However, when he came out, he found the problem was the control panel and not the compressor. Fortunately he did not charge me the $500+ for the compressor he bought, and the total repair bill was $539 which included two trips from Albuquerque. Very poor and shabby service. WaitEd for days with no response and he ordered the wrong part.

Really bad experience with Jason. This whole ordeal lasted about 3 months of him trying to fix our oven. I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt because he always blamed the parts he ordered were either faulty or the wrong ones. He was always late, and cancelled our appointments several times. Instead of fixing the oven, he ended up damaging it more by shattering the plastic in the dial panel. It's an old oven, and those parts are harder to find. He even told us he found a seller that was charging him 370 for that part alone. Instead of buying it, he said he would fix it himself, so that it would be cheaper. He stopped responding to my calls. I later found out that he changed his company's number. To avoid upset customer calls? He kept the deposit, and I ended up with an oven that is in worse condition than when it originally stopped working. Customers beware! read more

He is still open and doing business. My experience with him was Horrible. He charged me $400 over a 4 month period to fix my stackable washer. After all that time and money, he never fixed it, kept all my money and the person that fixed it instead of him let me know that Jason had ruined the motor which I remember him saying at the first appointment he took it to his drill press to work on it. Well whatever he did ruined my motor and made it impossible for the real technician to work on it. I ended up having to replace it. Customers beware of this scammer he will lie, try to take as much money as he can from you and leave your appliances in worse condition then when they first broke. Save yourself the stress and find someone Who is a real appliance technician. read more

El Local Tech, Jason Jones is still doing business in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I found his appliance business in the internet. Big mistake!!! I called his phone number. His female receptionist is real sweet and says that Jason does a free one hour diagnostic test on the appliance (dryer in this case) and the first consultation is also free. He then will let the customer know what is wrong and will proceed from there. He is a smiley, witty, lively conversationalist. The focus was never on the dryer no tools to check the machine (electrometer). Consultation just means conversation only about machine and everyday events. He came the second time to put dryer element parts together and left in a hurry after me paying him a substantial amount of CASH to go to an emergency Customer job in Tesuque with no explanations (resume) for me my dryer unfixed with cash and no receipt for my records. Jason later came back and said that I needed an expensive part I gave him a check (record) instead of cash and he never ordered it. I did not hear back from him for over a week til I assertively told him to forget it. (He ignored my phone calls everyday when I wanted to know the status of the part order). He gave me back my (check)money for no services. I hired another technician and the part Jason asked me to purchase is not needed to fix the dryer. He could have cost worse damage to my dryer....with the way that the parts were left by Jason Jones, El Local Tech, I was told Never give a technician CASH!!! Buyer Beware!!! Business is still OPEN. It is best to Pay for Quality at the end. read more
