I would give a 0 star review if I could. This business is in cahoots with home warranty companies to NOT fix an appliance. The checked our refrigerator that was not cooling and was making a very loud noise. We had unplugged it for a day and then plugged it back in. It started working. We were told by Rudy's that it had a bad condensor fan and that since we let if defrost it was working and they were going to order the part. Rudy was the only person to call me back! Our 4yr. old Maytag dryer was beginning to screech and moan. We spoke to Angie, who made the appointment, Rudy came right out, took a look and said it was probably the belt and pulley, which would have to be replaced. He didn't show up on time. Mid-morning was the agreed upon time. We called, twice. His wife answered the first time and had no clue where he was. We suspect he was at home with his wife. They had a TV on. During the second call at noon, no explanation of why he didn't show up except, "It didn't work out." And that was only because WE called him. Twice. Would he have bothered to inform us he wasn't coming on his own? He seemed very apathetic. I have a serious lung disease. We had to set up the entire house to make it Covid safe: windows open, a/c off, fans inside and outside the kitchen window. HEPA filters on turbo. P100 respirators ready. We waited around 2.5 hours for him. Then we had to re-set up the house normally after I called second time. WTH??? We suspect he was sitting and watching TV the entire time. read more

We maintain and an older clothes washer and older dryer (Maytag and Whirlpool, respectively) because we keep seeing undesirable features and bad reviews of the new ones. Rudy keeps our old machines running for us. So far, he's been able to diagnose our problems over the phone, arrive with the needed parts in hand, and fix what's wrong in a short visit. His charges are reasonable; he's prompt and courteous and a good communicator; and he's a delight to work with. He's our appliance man. read more

Rudy returned my phone call in only a couple of hours. He came by and checked my dryer the same day that I called. He determined that it needed a new heating element and he ordered that element while he was on site. He told me that the part should be here in a couple of days but, he called me the next day and said he got overnight delivery and the part was in and he could install it. He installed the part and checked out the dryer and charged a very reasonable fee for the work. I will definitely call Rudy again when I have an appliance to repair. read more

Rudy showed up quickly after calling. Properly diagnosed problem with dryer. Ordered part and got back the next day to do repair. Dryer is working fine now. My only complaint is that Rudy only accepts cash and check. I didn't know this and was planning to use a visa or MasterCard. I was extremely busy and it was difficult to go and get cash for him. I hate to write a negative review for a local guy but... two months ago I called Rudy Armijo and asked him to come out and repair the ice-maker in my refrigerator. He said he was sure it was just the ice maker unit in the door was burned-out and I could replace it easily myself. I told him I wanted him to do it; in a roundabout way he refused. It took $115 bucks and 2 months for the new icemaker to arrive. I replaced it carefully (YouTube video), tested the switches, checked all the "troubleshooting" from Whirlpool, and still no ice. Rudy's advice was useless; I have to assume he could have fixed it if he'd come to the house and looked into it. This is actually the third time he has refused to come out to fix my appliances. In the previous two, he simply told me "Go buy a new washing machine at Home Depot" -- ditto for the dryer a year later. read more

Rudy correctly diagnosed the problem over the phone, then he was able to get the repair completed quickly as he brought the right parts with him. His manner is quite professional and pleasant. My Samsung dryer would turn on but would not start. I found Rudy on Yelp and left him a message (along with three other repair shops). Rudy returned my call within the hour, asked questions regarding the problem and offered to come the next day. He arrived and repaired it within an hour and was very efficient and affordable. He wore a mask the entire time and made sure the area was tidy. I will be calling Rudy the next time an appliance needs repair. He said he works on most appliances. He's definitely a keeper! I am going to call Rudy the next time I need my dryer repaired. I called today for the first time, I described the problem and he diagnosed it over the phone, he said my exhaust duct was blocked. I was able to reach it and fix it myself for free! This single lady living in the forest has finally found a contractor that will not rip me off! I have put Rudy in our list of people we will call first in the future because he did everything I look for in a professional. I called on Thursday mid-morning and heard from him early Thursday afternoon. He told me he would call Friday morning to let me know when he was headed over, which he did. He arrived on time; knew what the problem was with the dryer from my description of what it was doing; had the part on his truck; and fixed it properly, without delay. A reasonable price for the promptness and competence in service. He was thoughtful and we discussed other things I needed to be aware of with the dryer in case future problems developed.
