Luckily, I got there just before the rush and was seated quickly. The location has an amazing vibe, especially as it begins to fill up. The food was amazing!! The Cafe de Olla was some of the best that I have ever had. It is perfectly seasoned with cinnamon and requires no additional sugar or milk to be thoroughly enjoyed. Next comes the chips and salsa. The chips were crunchy and salted, while the salsa was actually spicy. Far too often, salsa has no spice, and this was fantastic. While we were waiting for our orders, we were offered the chance to order a taco, and I decided to try the carnitas taco. WOW. The flavor profile was insane. The carnitas were juicy, but the exterior was lightly smoked and toasty, which paired with the lime and toppings was very pleasant. My main was the Borrego Tatemado. It was phenomenal! The meat was very juicy, and the side sauce (Consomme) was some of the best I ever had. The restaurant does an amazing job of making this place feel like I am eating homemade food at a relative's.

When we got there, it was busy with a lively atmosphere. Not overcrowded, but you could tell it's a popular spot as more people kept coming in. Service was quick and efficient. The menudo itself was excellent--super fresh, flavorful, and they were generous with the meat. They also served it with garlic bread on the side, which was a nice touch, and the condiments really brought everything together. Both of the meats were tender and delicious, though I slightly preferred the chivo (goat), which was meatier, leaner, and more flavorful. I also especially liked the mild salsa, which had a nice refreshing flavor, and the ability to customize the condiments on each taco.
