Booths around my area. Not to bad a few rips in seat.

Buffet items were very flavorful and lots of options. Seasoning was spot on. Tried the steak fajita mix, beef burrito, corn and tomato mix, cheese sauce, tortillas, guacamole and jalapeños. Salsa was ok, chips were fresh. (Seen shredded chicken, bean burritos, seafood mix, and lots of fruit selection. Biggest complaint was most hot items on buffet were room temperature at best. Had to put the cheese sauce on most items just to warm up. It was about the only thing that was hot. I will come back just need to turn up the heat on warming table. If I had one suggestion please put lights over the warming table so you can see what you are wanting to eat at the buffet. Time 11:45 so I can only suspect the food was not sitting out long before I got there. It should have been hot. Last but not least I tried the cinnamon chips for dessert. They were good and plenty of seasoning. Price for lunch buffet was $10.95 Turn the heat up the buffet table and put some lights on it, you will see good results and a 5 star from me next time.

Where's the cheese??? My Monterey Chicken.

Since it was easy to get in and I didn't walk more than 15 steps, I agreed to go. My left knee is swollen and I have to be careful or I will be draining it again. The lunch special was a leg quarter, ribs, or pulled pork with 2 sides. I chose ribs, green beans and stewed cabbage for $9.99. I ordered a side salad with ranch dressing for $3.99. My food was hot and tasty. I had 4 rib bones. My salad was fresh and so was the ranch dressing. 5/5 Lena and Dave ordered catfish with a baked potato and cucumbers, tomatoes and onion for $15.99. Both of them said the catfish was excellent. I tried a bite and for catfish, it was good. The baked potato was large and steaming full of butter and sour cream. 5/5 Everything was delicious. I ate half of my meal and brought the rest home. If you like good food at a reasonable price and are in the Pulaski, Tennessee area, please stop by this mom and pop restaurant. 5/5

Next door is the Sunrise Bakery and across the street is the KFC. As soon as I arrived with my date, who was blind, our waitress, Sarah, didn't miss a beat and as she seated us asked if she can bring a "plate with walls." Neither of us knew what she was talking about and I'm not sure how we answered, but she came back with a large dinner plate which had high sides on it. It was similar to a casserole dish. She said that she has a blind friend and he finds a plate like this easier to use. It was one of the kindest acts either of us had experienced in a very long time. One of the most important things to say about *any* buffet is how fresh the food is. While we were there, cooks brought out freshly-cooked salmon not only once, but twice. That says a lot. The food selection was good, though not very extensive, but it's a very small restaurant. We noticed that while the kitchen was in the rear, there was also a cook preparing some food in the dining room on a hibachi grill. That's a nice touch. While the storefront is not particularly appealing, the inside is lovely, though the wallpaper and artwork could use some updating. That's okay, though... the important thing here is the excellence of the food; it is... and so are the people of this city. As we were ready to leave, our bill was brought to us that said one of the patrons had already paid for our dinner. That was incredibly kind, and a kindness that I will certainly pay forward. If you're traveling through Lawrenceburg, stop by the Chinese Oriental Buffet. You won't be disappointed.

On Saturday their $12.50 hamburger or cheeseburger with fries or onion rings is on sale for $9.00. Our waitress quickly brought menus and drinks to our table. I ordered a cheeseburger with onion rings and Dave ordered a cheeseburger with fries. The food was cooked quickly and brought out hot. My burger was burnt on one side. I cut it in half and ate the side that wasn't as burnt. The onion rings needed to cook longer as they weren't crisp. They were borderline mushy. 3/5 Dave's cheeseburger and fries were ok he said. His burger wasn't as burnt as mine. The fries could have cooked longer as they were mushy. 3/5 I must not be ordering the right foods when I go to Legends. 3.5 stars above average We came on a Sunday during lunch…read morehours. It was pretty packed, but luckily there was a table available for us. It's an all you can eat home cooking buffet. I feel it's above average because it's home cooking. The price wasn't bad, either. For two, plus two drinks, it was around $28. So if you add the tip to that, the price wasn't bad at all. Compared to a lot of other places, I didn't think the price was bad. The way I see it, you can easily spend $10 per person, if not more at a fast food place for just one meal. Now, onto the food. They had a salad bar section with different salad dressings so I really liked that. The day that I went, they had meat loaf, chicken n dressing, fried fish, fried chicken, and ham. I really didn't have any complaints about any of these. I thought it was pretty yummy. My favorite thing here was the fried chicken. Sides: the sweet potato casserole was my favorite side here. It was so yummy and made perfectly. I also thought the mashed potatoes and gravy were pretty good. They also had Mac n cheese, green beans, some corn, and a couple of different rolls/cornbread, and sides. Desserts: they had a lot of options for sweets so that really surprised me. They had some ice cream (the kind you scoop), a few cakes, peach cobbler, and some banana pudding. I didn't really get to try much of the dessert since I was full, but I did get a small amount of the peach cobbler to taste it and it was scrumptious. It's always hard to find some good peach cobbler, but I felt that it was made perfectly here. I also tried their sweet tea and I also thought it was made perfectly. It was nice and sweet just how I like it.

This review gets a four out of respect for Dolly and providing a promising Truck/Travel stop…read moreexperience. We aren't quite there yet. The concept looks solid.plenty of truck parking. A great looking building. Then it sort of flops when you try the buffet. I went on a Saturday around 6pm. The fried catfish and barbecue chicken were drier than Gandhi's flip flops. The mac & cheese noodle was good but they use a bad cheese product. The tossed spaghetti and meat sauce wasn't great. The bread pudding was stuck to the pan like spackle. Looking forward to grabbing a shower and a beer upstairs later. I hope they figure out the buffet before the Gem of Tennessee comes in on June 24th. That's the rumor anyway. ...Oh almost forgot, they had a country music artist playing for diner. I thought that was cool. If more people hear about this, maybe the food might not be as dry? Anyway, Good luck Tennessean. We'll be out on tour so won't get to see Dolly. Edit: went back in today. The trucker showers are huge, just missing sink space and hooks to hang your bag. Towels were real nice. Tried round 2 at the buffet. Slightly better. The apple bread pudding was good today. Meatloaf was good again. They can't seem to put out good chicken. The BBQ glazed chicken was rock hard and almost dry. They had some chicken patties in gravy that also wasn't great. The people are nice here, but I don't think they've got the right people in the kitchen just yet.

The famous cinnamon bread is available for purchase and is absolutely worth the wait. Whether you choose the all-you-can-eat country buffet or order from the menu, there are plenty of options to satisfy everyone. The brisket was cooked perfectly--tender, moist, and full of rich, smoky flavor. The selection of sides, available from both the buffet and the menu, offers something for every taste. The chicken, unfortunately, was a bit dry, although it still had decent flavor. To finish the meal, I tried the peach cobbler, which was absolutely delectable. It would have been even better served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The service was slow. It seemed like the waitress wasn't quick to serve or refill drinks. Waitressing isn't an easy job by all means, but there were many times when we wouldn't see our waitress for awhile. The atmosphere is inviting. There are murals and guitars all over. The guitars are beautifully decorated. Overall, Dolly's Travel Stops is a worthwhile stop for good comfort food, delicious baked goods, and unique souvenirs.
