    Just darn good food !!

Ok my first go to taco shop by me and for a great reason. They just make awesome tacos period. First staff friendly, come early not like 7 am but if you want all variety of the breakfast offerings stops at 11 when lunch rolls out, third the tacos them selves are big I mean Texas big. Cost reasonable for the quality and the serving love love love this place. Must try !!

I've been eating here for a while now too. I dont have any pics but i have a video review up on my tik tok. They have some of the best tacos and burritos on the north side! They are so sweet and fast! I'll post a screen shot from my tik tok

Breakfast tacos (alright) and champurrado which was delicious

I have eaten here about three times but never again. It's average to nasty depending on what you get. Crappy Food !!! Stay away from this place !!! Rice tasted old and the chicken enchiladas have a pencil size serving.

My god! This is there version of carne guisda

5 Star alert! Growing in north side and the heights I have always been partial to places like: Gerardo's, Laredo taqueria, Taco nazo, villaarcos, Taco nazo, and the list could go on for ever. If you like Tacos try all the places I mentioned including this one. Holy hell! These tacos are good!!! Amazing. Some of the best tacos I have ever had. This place gets packed too. As my son and I are eating. The line is getting longer and longer. The carne guisada was so tender and full of flavor. They put a different spin on It and put some really tender potatoes with It. The red beef taco was amazing as well. Kind of salty but really good and full of flavor. The Barbacoa was good as well. They actually make homemade tortillas. They are a little hard oddly enough, but good. They are not soft like the ones you will get at Alamo Taco off berry road. Forgot to mention them earlier. Another north side classic. Next time I'm on this side of town I will definitely stop in. Give them a shot.

Barbacoa taco barely anything in this taco and it's almost $4 a taco!!
    Sue Z.

Love their tacos but over the years it's changed, you used to get a nice full taco for a great price but now you pay a little over $3 bucks for a taco and barely get any meat in it, it's ridiculous!

Good Mexican food. Parking is a little strange here as the lot is being shared with a car wash and people around here look shifty!

We ordered pupusas, barbacoa, and a burrito. The pupusas were AMAZING (we got the kids' one), and they came with rice and beans that were also really good. The barbacoa came with two tortillas and was flavorful without being overly sweet, which I really appreciated since I'm not a fan of sweet barbacoa. My mom had the burrito and felt it could've had more flavor, but overall the food was still solid. The staff was super friendly, the bathrooms were clean and nice, and it was a comfortable spot to grab lunch. Definitely a great place to stop if you're hungry and want a satisfying, casual meal. The pupusa is one of the largest I have gotten, and the consistency and flavor were exactly the way I remember them from my time in El Salvador; authentic and delicious. Cost was $20 total, but would easily have fed two, and I have enough leftover for lunch, tomorrow, so a good value, for good food! Don't miss this spot; they have juices, and bottled and canned drinks, too. Will surely be back to enjoy more good food from their menu!

Instead, I stumbled upon Letty's and called to see if they had room for our large group. They were incredibly accommodating, and they were able to seat the 13 of us together with only 30 minutes of notice. The decor was fun and beautiful, the food was fantastic (esp the ribeye appetizer,) but it was the staff / team who truly stood out and made our experience so fantastic. From the jefe holding the door open to welcoming us, to our server suggesting off-menu vegetarian options, we could hardly believe how welcome we felt. The restaurant was spacious, clean and incredibly chic / well designed and though we had already eaten too much earlier that day, the drinks and dinner had fantastic flavor, great portion sizes and most importantly.. they were served with so much love. My brother and I stopped in for carryout breakfast tacos on a Sunday morning. Alas, they didn't have brisket breakfast tacos, but had some good alternatives. Their flour tortilla is the choice here, and I believe it is Sonoran style: good enough to just eat by itself. My absolute favorite was the barbacoa ($3.25), very tender stewed beef with added onion and cilantro...not meant to be a breakfast taco I think. The other 3 tacos I tried did have egg. The potato & egg ($3.25) had big chunks of potato and plenty of egg: very filling not particularly tasty. The chorizo and egg ($3.25) was was prepared together, with the small chorizo pieces mixed in with the egg. And the fajita and egg ($4.79) used two slices of skirt steak flavored with fajita flavoring...for my preference, works better in skillet fajitas than in a breakfast taco. They also have menudo on the weekends, and both their corn and flour tortillas are homemade. As mentioned before, the flour tortillas are really good, and the barbacoa is definitely worth a visit.

Between the family, we tried the barbacoa, chicharron, chicken fajita, and a fajita quesadilla. The fresh homemade tortillas really make a difference in every bite. I'd read reviews mentioning they were huge, but honestly, I didn't find them particularly oversized. Not a complaint at all, just not what I expected going in! My daughter loved her quesadilla and especially the cheese pull, which passed her personal "cheese test" with flying colors. The chicharron in salsa verde was a standout for me, perfectly seasoned, with no need for extra salt or salsa. Personally, I'd ask for the onion to be chopped just a bit smaller but that really is the only "complaint" I have. I also ordered the charro beans based on earlier reviews, and they were every bit as flavorful as promised. I'm already looking forward to trying their fresh-squeezed orange juice on our next visit. The staff was wonderfully welcoming from start to finish, and my husband, who went in with low expectations, was blown away by how delicious everything was. We're both so glad we gave this place a try. If you're looking for comforting, well-seasoned food in a warm, inviting setting, Nando's Tacos is absolutely worth the visit.
